"I ordered a Clarks Privo sports sandal. The sandals arrived the 8th bus.day from order date. They shoe box was in a flimsy plastic mailing bag and was so beat up, the order slip inside the box was torn. The sandals were unhurt but it turned out they were too long by 1/2 a size. I arranged to return them for an exchange for a smaller size. I sent them back in a sturdy box on 5/30/12 USPS. On June 12th I received an email saying "We have been notified....that you have a return or exchange enroute to Footsmart. We expect it will be processed in the next 6-10 days!
A few days later I received an email saying there was some problem in fulfilling my order and I should call them. I called and the agent did not know what the problem was. So I decided to just ask for a refund. The agent said that a check would be sent out soon. I said I did not want a check but preferred to have a refund sent through Paypal, as that was how I paid. She agreed to that. Meanwhile, I received 2 emails saying that the size of sandal I wanted was no longer available! In a few days I called again and was told that a check had been mailed on June 18th. Upon speaking to a manager he said that the notation was there in the order but that a check had been sent because it was impossible to refund back into the Paypal system!
No email came confirming the check was sent. I called Paypal to lodge a claim. The next day the check arrived. It had been mailed on Wednesday, the 20th. You may get lucky dealing with them but the odds are against it.

"Finally I got them to understand that the shoes I ordered from them had definitely never been worn (not by us anyway) & that I was due a refund. I did get a full refund after over a month. Maybe it was just an error. I probably will order from them again. They have some really great items at reasonable prices. I will just make sure that I order the correct size, etc. & make sure it is something that I never intend to return or exchange. Guess this thing can happen with any company. "I purchased Fitflop leather lace-up walking shoes - specifically for helping with bunion relief, as advertised, and quite frankly they are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn, so much so that I could barely walk after an hour and am still recovering. I tried twice, hoping I would break them in. No luck.Imagine no cushioning, no arch support, no shock support - yes, plenty of room for your bunion, but at $119.99 not much else. It felt like 2 pieces of wood strapped to my foot - that uncomfortable - bunion joint having to grip for dear life to propel me forward. Return policy DESPITE the fact that the shoes didn't do what was advertise, dictates that they must be return UNWORN & in original package. When I asked the indifferent young woman how I could measure their effectiveness against foot pain if I didn't wear them, she agreed with my (sarcastic) suggestion that I wear them indoors for several hours - walk around my living room for a mile or so?? Yes, says she - hiding behind a policy. I rarely complain, almost never return items, spend a fortune online, but the attitude of Footsmart has left me cold. I have spent several hundred dollars with this vendor in the last 2 months. Obviously my custom is worth nothing - so I'll be taking it elsewhere."

"I was totally disappointed in paying $80.00 for a pair of men's Baldwin slippers for a birthday gift to have the sole come apart in 2 and half months. When I called and explained my situation, I was told that anything past 60 days was no returnable. I've paid $10.00 for a pair of shoes that lasted a lot longer than that. Also, I have purchased several items from them but as of now, I'm no longer of customer. Take it from me, buy your shoes and socks somewhere else."

I received an email that said I was only getting a partial refund. The shoes were 69.99, and I only got $54 refund. Plus, I paid to have them shipped to me, and shipped back. Shop at Zappos!"

Ordered 2 pairs of sneakers for my 96 year old father. The price was good and they showed them in stock on the web site. After 4 calls to customer service and over a month delay they tell me the order for the sneakers has cancelled because the vender no longer makes the size that was ordered. I threw in an order for support socks inorder to get the benifit of $20 off coupon. Now this is the only thing they delivered and the only thing I am stuck paying for. Something I did not really want. Go else where for shoes and sneakers!

"i bought a pair of easy spirit get up & go shoes for work . they are not true to size i ordered a wide . they run totally too small! foot smart will not issue a refund saying they had been worn.
i told the associate on the phone that they were worn one day she insisted that i return the shoe for a refund . saying they would make an exception in my case . otherwise i would never have spent $7 to ship them back !
don't trust their shoes or their c/s associates who truly need to be re-trained not to make any promises that they cannot honor .
i do not recommend FOOT SMART to anyone and will never shop again "

But, once I returned the item for a refund, they waited 8 days from the confirmation of receipt back of the item to refund my credit card, which is really uncalled for. Not recommended as far as I'm concerned, Zappos will do a refund within 2-3 days max. "

"This company is a joke. I originally ordered one item from them on March 26th, 2009. The item was never delivered so I called and they told me to wait several weeks and if it still had not arrived they would ship a new one. Well after waiting I called again and another item was shipped on 4/22/09, about a month after the original order. Well guess what, this item never arrived either. They never gave me any tracking information on either item, claiming that they do not track their items and have no idea what was happening. Well while waiting for both of these items to arrive I received two promotional magazines from FootSmart. So they obviously have my correct address, and have no trouble shipping advertisements - but when it comes to the item you are paying for... Well I call them back after waiting for the second item to arrive and request a refund. They claim to issue me a check on 5/5/09. Well GUESS WHAT!?, the refund never arrived either! Surprised? They tell me to wait several weeks again. Well during this time I receive another lovely promotional magazine. Around 5/24/09 I filed a claim of fraud with Paypal and got my money back. On 5/26/09 I filed a complaint with the Atlanta BBB and two days later receive an apology. It should be noted that at the time I am writing this, they have a D- with the BBB. Please, never ever, ever order anything from this company!!!!"
"Item arrived promptly in time for Christmas. Unfortunately, as manufacturers sizes vary, we needed to exchange our item for a larger size. After two weeks, we received an email indicating they would send the new item shortly. A few days later we get a check in the mail for the cost of the original item minus the return shipping. A note indicated the item was backordered and thus cancelled. So now we had paid shipping in both directions and had nothing to show for it! I called and they refused offer me any other compensation. For any merchant offering clothing through the mail, this is not acceptable in my opinion. I will never do business with them again."
