"T oparapharse what others have said. Stay Away from Smart Certify. A representative (Dominick) called me 3 weeks ago and eased from the soft to hard sell technique. After a 45 minutes sales pitch, price/payment option "session", I promised to call him back the next day, but failed to do so. he proceeds to call me several times at home. The offer that was set to expire was "still avaialble", but I had to act NOW. I passed and politely got off of the phone. Saturday 8/21/04, I received a call from another sales drone at Smart Certify. This person calls me at work on 8/23 and promises to have someone call me back today at 10 AM. Well, I was busy so I did not answer the phone. I received 3 voicemails and no less than 15 calls from this company today!! I guess someone is counting on me to pay the rent this month or something. Many of the calls are within minutes of each other. I am the only potential customer?
I just found this site today, but I will search elswher for IT training!"
"BUYER BEWARE
I called for Cisco CCNA training and was quickly pushed into some yearly subscription at more than twice the amount I had access to through my employer’s reimbursement program. They even went as far as to try and trick me into filling out some credit card form to put the additional $1000 on some sort of payment plan.
I was lucky enough to be able to have cancelled my order before I was charged which reaffirms my suspicions as my sales rep actually slammed the phone down when I politely told him that I wanted to cancel my order.
I would steer clear of these people and buy a good book and CD-ROM. They just provide access to courseware that you can get through many other vendors at lower and less-pushy prices."
"Talk about suckage... they work for Smartcertify. I thought I was going to talk to somebody with a brain. No such luck. These guys want you to sign contracts, loans, and other such deals. I told the guy NO I am not signing a contract or loan... he still persisted to lay on the pressure and "I'll have to talk to my director" techniques... they make up the prices as I believe was said before, and "we have a special deal but you have to sign up NOW" speils. To put it short, do not deal with these guys. Also.. btw if you have a worst enemy, tell em to call Forefront's number and let Chip do the rest ;)"
