Shambolic Mickey Mouse outfit.

"Visited their ‘store’ on a run down trading estate. No nameboard on the premises, so had to ask around where they were. The website clearly, categorically states that the Panasonic camera is in stock. Having already agreed that I would call to collect the item, I was told by the ‘couldn’t-care-less’ owner that they haven’t had that camera since March and couldn’t say when the next ‘batch’ would arrive. The cost and time inconvenience was substantial as I had to travel almost 1 hour each way, plus time spent trying to locate this Mickey Mouse set-up. The female responsible for telephone and e-mail enquiries is also complicit in perpetrating the lie that the goods were in stock. She ridiculously denied that their website clearly stated that the camera was in stock, and even persisted in her denial even after I told her that Lancashire Trading Standards were able to view the website to verify and support my claim. She then had the gall to say that Trading Standards would be unlikely to show any interest because money had not changed hands. It’s plainly obvious, I would submit, that this phoney, shambolic set-up has had previous dealings with Trading Standards. Avoid this ‘company’ like the plague and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere.

Fairy Tales

"On the 14th Feb 2018 I ordered a camera, paid for quick delivery, then nothing, that is when I spoke with the lovely Holly, who I will say has empathy with the customer, thank you Holly without you this would have been one star.
I was told my camera was out of stock and that Panasonic were running late as they had a surge on this model? however all was not lost I was promised £100 cashback if I left the order with them, I was going away but I took another camera with me, so all good so far. My Panasonic eventually arrived, while we were away, on our return on the 2nd March I contacted Holly by email to say I had received the item. I was told the £100 would be placed in my PayPal account within the next 28 days. (30th March) The month of March came and went, April 3rd came no cashback, contacted Fotosense again and the email came back with more delays in payment, most of my emails through April were never replied too, finally on the 25th April I received and email apologising for my £100 cashback delay stating that I would be paid within 7>10 working days? then at 15:00 hrs the same day (25th April) I had another email stating that
"Further to our previous e-mail, we are pleased to confirm that your cashback has been processed and verified. However, the Promotions team are currently working their way through a backlog at the moment so you should receive a cheque payment within the next 21 days at the latest."
This is so bad that I am contemplating using my business debt collection agents to get official with this company in regard to my cash in their hands, but as its only been 4 months since I ordered the Camera and the promise of £100 cashback was made so perhaps the next few days will see their promise evolve if not, time to get legal.
I did say at the beginning that I was going to give 1 star for appalling service but Holly saved that, but on reflection after writing this and reading it back it can only be one star, Fotosense you really are bad as a customer facing business, you should be ashamed the way you treat us.

Terrible!!!!!

"Terrible Experience took my money Holly offered me a delivery to my work place as i would be at work during the work hours of delivery then told me that my bank requested a verification!! my bank did not call this company to request that! then they wanted to call my work place for a small order to make me jump through hoops!! they offered me a delivery to my work i didnt ask!! i see my daughter once a week i advised the company i need this for her as i promised her, now i dont have the product and have to wait for a refund until i can purchase again and now i have to let my daughter down.....very disappointing to say the least they was happy to take my money and then play games with me"

Disappointing an understatement!.

"Tried a number of times to call them by telephone but you get no response even though they say you can!, only way is to contact via their web site chat or email. This can be very time wasting especially when you order an item shown as in stock pay for it and later when you enquire as to where is it? only to be told it's not available!!. Final straw is when you receive a notification your monies are being returned within so many days but nothing happens!!. Very bad customer service.
Beware this Seller.

"I ordered this on SUNDAY. I paid for NEXT DAY delivery as I am leaving on Saturday to Africa, AND ordered it BEFORE 2pm for next day shipping. It is Friday today, and no item. I phoned the company and it was only dispatched yesterday? And I was told that it will not arrive until ANOTHER 4 days!!!!!????!!!! What is this? Terrible price for a horrific delivery service. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR ITEMS ON TIME! I am now going to go and write loads of bad reviews about your scamming website. I NEED the bag by tomorrow. paid for next day delivery. Shouldn't have to wait 10 days after charging me 8.99 for it! Ridiculously inconveniant. Now I have no bag for my cameras while backpacking you fools."

"Ordered a 77mm white balance filter cap on the 18th it arrived on the 19th. Wow were my initial impressions. Then i inspected the order. One filter ring no white balance lens cap. Emailed them numerous times. Tried phoning told the system was down. Still have had no joy speaking to an adult.
What i cant beleive is the product comes in a see throug bag. So didnt they inspect the order before they sent it out. Or did they know it wasnt complete. Beggars belief. I do know one thing. From this experience i would not order anything expensive from them as i couldnt guarantee that i would be able to speak to anybody.

"I read some reviews for this company and I wasn't all that sure about ordering from them because the reviews were pretty poor with very few good reviews.

I emailed them to confirm they had the item in stock, then again to check it would be sent out the day I decided to order it, both emails were replied to exceptionally quickly!!

I ordered it yesterday at 12 midday and it arrived today at 10:15am

I am very impressed with the service I have received from www.fotoSENSE.co.uk and I am glad that, after having looked at various other sellers of this items to find no-one was cheaper, I decided to give them a go!!

I would definately recommend them but I would also suggest you email them to confirm the item you want is in stock

"It's sites like this that give purchasing online a bad name.

Even though they mention "In stock" on their website this would appear to have no relevance.

After a few days when I order 2 items (in stock) and still hadn't received a shipping confirmation I rang them up only to be told that one of the items was out of stock and would be due in a few days.

The following week I rang up and was told that the the item was now back in stock but the other item was now out of stock. When I pushed for an explaination the item then "suddenly" came back in stock and my order would be posted on the very same day and that I would receive the shipping tracking number via email.

The next day, still no sign of the shipping number, rang them up, they confirmed that it was send in the previous days post and that there was a problem with the system which sends the emails with the shipping numbers and that they would send me the shipping number by the next day.

3rd day after the supposidly shipping of my order I rang them up. This time I didn't bother asking about the shipping number, I just asked about the status of the order.........the person said "oh that's ready to send today".......I guess they weren't able to keep up with all the "mis-truths" that they had been giving me......

Based on other reviews I've read on the web, this would appear to be common practice by this company and in some cases can go on for many weeks. Needless to say, I cancelled my order there and then. Agent was so in different that they didn't ask why (although I expect they could guess as it must happen a lot).

Worse of all, which is extremely bad practice from an online retailer is that the day of ordering they immediately charged my credit card. The more reputable suppliers will only do this upon shipping.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY

"I have used Fotosense on many occasions and have always received first class service. I found the website easy to navigate and to order from. The sales staff are always very helpful and have given me trusted product advise over the years.

I placed my last order on 09/02 online, the product was in stock. I chose the free delivery option and didn't expect delivery for 4/5 days. I received an email straight away with my order confirmation and a couple of hours later received confirmation my order was dispatched. I received it within 2 days!! goods were received in perfect condition. It was a pleasure doing business with them again.

In summary i would definitely use this company again and would recommend to anyone looking for photographic equipment to check out there website. They are the best independent retailer i've come across offering a personal,friendly and efficient service.. big thumbs up fotosense !!!

"Placed an order with this website for the following items:

B+W 106 (1.8) SH NDx64 77mm Neutral Density Filter
B+W 502 DH 77mm Dark Gray Graduated Filter
Sandisk 2GB Extreme IV Compact Flash Card (266x Speed)
Manfrotto 055XPROB Pro Tripod - Black
Manfrotto 804RC2 Basic Pan Tilt 3-Way Head with Quick Release
Canon RS 60E3 Remote Switch for Canon EOS 300D/350D/400D

All the items showed up on the website as "in stock" so I paid extra to have them delivered before 9:00 the next day.

After 3 days though nothing was delivered so I called them up and was told one of the B+W filters was out of stock but they couldn't say which one!

3 days and 2 phone calls later, I received the tripod, the head and one of the filters but not at the specified time (before 9:00), I was lucky to be at home on that day. Called them to enquire about the rest of the order and was told they are out of stock. Asked for them to be cancelled which was promptly done.

The moral of the story:

Try not to order from them.
If you have to, don't trust their online availability system.
Don't bother with paying extra for the delivery.

"This shop ought to be renamed FotoNONSENSE.

I've ordered several times with them. Will admit, first time i ordered with them i had no problems, hence why i tried them several times since despite the initial problems. Unfortuantely the successful transaction was some time ago.

Over the past 6 months, they appear to simply show everything being in stock when it blatantly isnt (a la purelygadgets.co.uk).

People on the phone never seem to know if items are in stock or not.
People on the phone never know if the order has shipped or not. This is problematic since the order tracking system is rarely updated correctly.
One order was still "being packed" several days after it was delivered. Nothing related to items not being in stock is updated..leaving you guessing.

Items that have been confirmed as not in stock (by me following up on the phone why my next-day delivery did not arrive) - are still listed in stock days later.

DO NOT PAY ANYTHING ADDITIONAL FOR DELIVERY. It is a scam for extra money. They will not ship by the method you select. Example, paying for nextday pre-9am delivery...it wasnt even shipped via courier as advertised, let alone pre9am, but instead by Royal Mail. Fotosense blamed their courier (Citylink) for not delivering on time, when the postage sticker on box clearly shows no courier was used. I, after many emails, eventually got a refund for the additional amount.
Thinking it was innocent mistake, i ordered again with pre-9am delivery (i have to work after 9)...and again Fotosense did not utlise the delivery option i paid for, and i had to collect from courier depot myself. Several months later - still no refund for that amount.
More recently i ordered a lens filter from them next day....and sure enough it was sent a couple of days later...not next day.

As for that lens filter...it arrived with finger prints all over the lens itself. They didnt want to know about it.

In short:
- DONT PAY EXTRA for postage...its a scam.
- Dont order from them if you are in a hurry, because items probably aren't in stock.
- Dont expect you will be getting new/clean items
