"ATTENTION ALL: FotoSpirit.com are crooks! They lie and deceive people. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They gave me a wrong insurance coverage and never sent me a correct one, even though, a guy by the name of Scott has promised to. He never keeps his word and all of his promises are lies. BEWARE! I dealt with them for 3 weeks and at the end, reported them to credit card for money dispute. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM."

"Caveat emptor! I don't usually do this kind of thing but I thought their response was kind of hokey so... I bought a Sony HDR-SR12 from FotoSpirit - they had the best price. They didn't have just the camera (up sell technique?) but they did have the "travel kit". I wanted the bigger battery so I bought it. I asked if the bag was the Sony handy cam bag and they said they would make sure it was (the kits can be different??). I got the stuff - shipping was great. Got the Sony bag & camera in OEM packaging. All the other stuff was way off-brand. I plugged the bigger battery into the camera and the camera said it wasn't compatible and shut down. I called their customer service and they said "That's Sony's way of making sure you use their batteries. The battery came with a cable, right? Plug the cable into the battery and the other end of the cable into the DC in of the camera." That's not what I expected. And dang hokey. Sony OEM stuff was great. The "value added package" stuff was really cheap. And hokey."

"Typical masquerade where they allow you to buy an item on-line (in this case a camcorder) and it is in-stock and then you get the email that there is a problem with your order and to call them. You call and they tell you the only way they are selling it is if you buy it with a package (or "kit")."

"Eventually everything went very well with our order. We ordered Sony HDV camcorder (HDR-HC9) with a travel kit. The package arrived on time, but Crystal Optics filter kit was not included. However, I found more DV tapes in the box than I was expecting! Upon calling Customer Service, the filter kit was sent with no further questions asked. Only thing, we got slightly different filters than advertised, (instead of Crystal Optics we got Bower filters). Slightly different product, but that's OK with us. Compared to any other online shopping experience this was a truly positive one. If the seller could be more specific and precise about the contens of their packages, it would help customers and the seller as well. The Camera itself is very good and everything in the Sony box was original.

"I had order a camcorder from this shop with it stating that it is still in stock. I got a confirmation email after that but wanted me to contact them. When I contact them, they told me the camcorder is only in stock for the starter package which sells the accessory at a highly inflated place even though the website still stated that it is in stock. I've just waste my time..."

"Horrible! I tried to buy by email and was told there was a problem with my order. When I called them they said the video camera was out of stock. I had my husband call and try to place an order for the package deal, which was in stock. I spoke with the manager who said they would not sell the camcorder as an individual piece as advertised, but if I wanted to upgrade to a package deal they would sell it to me. So it's false advertising."

"Nothing but Bait-and-Switch! 8 minutes after I placed the order, I received a 'please call us about your order' email. The item that I ordered was in-stock on the webpage, and they did have several in stock, but "Because of limited stock, we're only selling that item in packages. (+$150-$450)" I'm sure this behavior (which others have expressed and I believe is standard for them,) is unethical, illegal, and horrible business. Their overall rating is somehow - must be fraudulently - still high in many places. If you have a similar experience, please add your negative review and save the next poor guy from getting suckered and wasting time/money."

"Very dissatisfied. They list a very low price on a Pioneer 50" Plasma TV. Site lists TV in stock, but it also shows quite a few expensive "upgrade options". I opted for just the TV. Site also stated shipping in 24-48 hours. Well, a few days pass and I hear nothing. I email the company to inquire to the shipping date and they respond with ORDER CANCELED. I call a sales rep to find out why... suspecting it was because I didn't opt for the expensive upgrades - the sales rep would only say they are out of stock. I said the web site lists it in stock to which he replied the site was not updated.

I am 100% convinced you cannot buy the TV or any other product for that matter at the low discounted price listed without buying any "upgrades".
