"I have purchased two framed art pieces from Framedart in the past. The frames on both of these pieces were Grayson Modern Brushed Silver with Black Edges, 2" wide. Before I placed this order, I called Customer Service at Framedart to confirm that the Grayson Modern Brushed Silver frame was still available. The Customer Service Rep. confirmed that it was still available and I advised her that I wanted my new picture framed in the same exact frame. I completed the online order specifically requesting this frame. My order came in a totally different frame, Modern Industrial Silver. "

"I ordered a framed print of The Daughters of Edward Darely Boit by John Singer Sargent, 1882, as I've always loved the painting and it reminds me of my three sisters and me.

The frame is lovely. Excellent packing. The print, however, is awful. The painting looks better online. I'm not sure why they would sell me such a poor print. Perhaps the company should invest in better equipment or something to make clearer prints. Or buy real prints of the paintings. Whatever.

You can't even make out the girls' faces in this print. The colors are washed out and most of the details are lost. Looks like it was taken by a Brownie camera in 1942 and the negative was washed out by light exposure before printing. I'm very disappointed. Look at the print online or in videos of the painting in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Even the tiny thumbnail prints online look clearer, more detailed and the color contrasts pop. It's not the artist's style that's in question here. The quality of the print is abysmal. Sadly, I'll have to return it. I was really looking forward to owning a nice print of it.

"I was able to find 2 companion prints by Ray Hendershot to create a series with one I already owned. The awesome frame and mat options allowed me to match the style of my print. I chose triple mats with a 2" frame. (2) 26" by 16" framed prints were about $159 each delivered to my door in about 2 weeks. The workmanship of the framing and matting was very good. They even put anti-scratch felts on the bottom corners of the prints to protect the wall. I did change the hanging hardware on my prints. They came with the sheet metal hanging bars at the top of the frame. I don't prefer this method as the holes in the wall are right at the top of the frame. If you make a change, or lower the print, the holes will be visible. I changed my prints to 2 small "D" rings 4 inches from the top. Overall, a GREAT experience. Incredible flexibility and choices at a fair prices. The website that shows what your options will look like is amazing. Keep up the good work."
