"One of the best websites for buying glasses online. The best thing about frames direct is the ability to shop your specific size. It has the best search capacity of any of the eye glass websites that I shopped and the most frames within my specific size.

It is a bit more pricy then other websites although in my case the glasses are higher quality then others that I purchased from other online eyeglass stores. I will say the lenses are the clearest of the bunch and felt right from the moment I put them on. I have progressive lenses and usually it will take me a while to get adjusted to the new glasses but this pair worked from the second I put them on.

It took a bit to get the glasses. The wait time from order to receiving them was three calendar weeks. So if you need them fast you may want to go the traditional route. For me this didn't matter since I have many glasses and was in no rush. The company did give me a call to let me know there was a slight delay and to give me a new estimated shipping date.

The purchase came, packed wonderfully in a big enough box, wrapped in bubble wrap securely, with original eyeglass case and cleaning cloth from the manufacturer.

The real test of a company is if I would purchase from again...and in this case I would. Basically, because of the difficulty in finding my size glasses in the brick and mortar locations I am happy to be able to order this method and will again. "

"Poor company to do business with. Don't stay away... RUN away! Their site shows items in stock. You order. They give you an "estimated" arrival. About 2 weeks. Not a problem. 13 days later they send an email saying the order is experiencing delays due to the manufacturer. The lab (which is exclusive to the manufacturer) cannot start the order due to the manufacturer not letting them know when the frames will arrive. This is the lab that does work EXCLUSIVELY for the manufacturer. The same one that won't give them any information. So the comapny (FramesDirect.com) lays it off on the lab who lays it off on the manufacturer who doesn't respond to either of them. Great system. Unless, of course, you actually want the product you paid in advance for. So, no updates on status (like they promised) until the PRODUCT ARRIVAL DATE COMES AND GOES! So they ask if you want to cancel. In a tone and manner that says between the lines: "I don't give a _______ (insert your imagination here) if you cancel or not because there are 10 more suckers behind you that will buy and at least 5 of those deals will actually go through". So you cancel, expecting a refund of your $$$ that they have floated for 2 weeks. They neglect to inform you that (after speaking with my credit provider) they will hold the charge as LONG AS LEGALLY POSSIBLE. About 2 months. So these _________ (again, insert expletive here)keep your cash, earning interest and providing nothing other than smoke and mirrors. My advice? DON'T EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, EVEN IF IT'S FREE!!!"
