"Just stay away from this website! After you place the order, they will tell you that one of the items in your order is discontinued and ask you the pick another frame or color. Then they will make you the wait another 10 business days in order to process the order. Then expect another a week to ship your glasses to you. Either you will wait for weeks to get your glasses or go one of the local shop to get it in a couple of days. And they are extremly rude on the phone."

"Framesdirect.com was very easy to work with. I only have a couple of complaints. I for one have always liked to recieve surveys after purchasing a product, especially if it's an online vendor/retailer. Framesdirect did not send one to me and it didn't set well with me. I feel as though they didn't take interest in my purchase and being a valued customer. Secondly, as a courtesy Framesdirect should include glasses cleaner with every pair ordered. Just as a thank you of sorts. Other than that, I have had the worst time keeping these lenses clean, not certain if it's the actual product used, but I haven't had this much trouble keeping my glasses clean since I started wearing glasses. It's a pain!"

They have no communication with suppliers, orders sit for weeks, you have to hound them only to find out that the frames you ordered are backordered or discontinued. If you want to receive your eyeglasses in a timely manner, go to a local optician. These folks do not have a clue."
"I've ordered two pair of eyeglasses through FramesDirect.com. Both orders were placed the same day.
One pair (Hi-Index lenses, Progressives, Transitions lenses) came through flawlessly - they were perfect in every way.
The second pair (RX sunglasses with progressive lenses) started out well. They arrived first, but the lenses shipped were clear - no sunglass tint! I've had to return them to FD for correction, and I'm still waiting after a month (time from original order date) to get them back. They were to be shipped to me by overnight - that didn't happen...
The staff with whom I've spoken at FD have uniformly been friendly and helpful, so that's great! I guess there are still some hitches in their order processing/quality control process.
