Weak customer service in parts

"Ordered part online to give them some time to pull. When I arrived , I was notified that there may be 6 hour wait for online orders. They may not have the part, there’s only one guy and a bunch of online orders that need to be pulled. Nobody was aware of my order yet. I asked what is the difference if I just walked in here now to get the part since it was a serpentine belt and a standard stocked item within a dealer. They told me the price would be different. I didn’t care about the price and asked if I could just buy one now. I am fully aware of what standard stock parts would be available.The guy finally rang up my dad Who was visiting and needed the belt before they left to go home. After ringing up the transaction, we stood there and he forgot to even go back and get the belt. Very awkward and disappointing experience from my favorite brand local dealer.

We got the belt and left. Felt this needed to be mentioned. I was going to buy a shirt and possibly a hat, but did not want to inconvenience anyone any further.

I understand the 6 hour window of pulling online parts , but I am not seeing the problem of going back and grabbing a belt to give to us. We would just pay the difference. We wasted more time discussing why he could not get the part then just walking back and getting it. My whole family is a Toyota family and we expect our customer service to be as reliable as a Toyota.

"This has to be the absolute best Toyota Dealer on the East Coast. John is the most professional sales person I have ever dealt with. He explained every aspect of the 2020 Highlander after the sale. This aspect is often disregarded by many sales persons at other dealerships, especially Nissan. If you want buy a car that will not lose half its value within a year after you leave the dealership then buy a Toyota and furthermore go see John, he will not try to baffle you with his BS or dazzle you with his brilliance!"

Great service

"Ordered some large parts for local pick-up. Staff was very helpful and even helped me figure out how to load items into my car (which was really too small for the job)! One small part was not in yet so they offered to ship it to me at no additional cost. Would definitely buy from again and recommend their parts department!"

"Found the part thru F. Anderson Toyota, ...great price, web site was fairly easy to to follow....placed order. They immediately contacted my of the order, status of order and when to expect deliver.
F. Anderson did every thing you could ask for .......no problems, a great dealership, every Toyota Dealership.......should be doing.

Rear view mirror

"After waiting 3 and half hours the week before for them to attempt to repair the driver's side rear view mirror they told me they would have to order a part. A guy in the parts department called me and said I could order the part online and save a lot, which I did and saved about $250. Parts called me and said part was in. Made an appointment for that afternoon. To it in and two hours it was fixed. Good job.
