"Bought a PC from them less than a year ago and had to return it once via RMA because the CPU was faulty. The problem appears to be repeating itself. Unfortunatley, the company seems to have disappeared. The website is no longer accessible, and neither the 909 nor 866 numbers work. The ***-***-**** doesn't appear to be funtioning as it keeps asking for an "access code". This company is gone, and so is my money now that my PC no longer boots. I still had 2 years left on a warranty with these thieves."

"I have purchased serial times from those guy, never run into any problem. not only the sales are really helpful and knowledgeable, their support is great too. ( well, the down side of it is that they only work around the clock, no weekends.) keep up the good work!!!"

"I wanted an alternative to the major pc makers ,and after a long hard comparison I chose FREEWAYTECH as the vendor for my 4th pc.
The buying experience was very good,and the use of there website to construct my pc my way was a major plus,this company has improved greatly,from the previous evals I have read,they now have a tech support toll free# now =
1-***-***-**** and tech support is available 6 days a week mon thru fri 9 am to 6pm and sat 9am to 2pm ,all times are pacific time zone.
I dealt with a fellow named Gary for the sales end of things,very helpful and good email/phone comunications.
I dealt with 2 gentlemen in the tech dept,Kit/David both were very helpful and knowlegable in thier fields.
had a couple bugs in system but tech support resolved those pronto.
When i purchase another pc in the future i will definetly return to FREEWAYTECH for my purchase
sytem had a few extra upgrades at no cost and shipping was 2 days earlier than qouted :).
overall on a 1 to 10 this buying experince would rate an 8.5

"I placed two separate orders with Freeway and am generally satisfied with the machines I have received.

The only problem I have had repeatly was with Gary. He would out of habit say that the machine has shipped but never provided any form of proof in the way of a Fedex tracking number. In both cases the machines shipped several days later than when he said it would.

Also experienced several email bounces. I guess they need a reliable ISP.

"Buying experence was'nt bad, but if warranty problems arise WATCH OUT. Got lied to and a run around until asked for RMA to return system. Then said they would ship me parts that might fix my problem but if did'nt I would have to pay return shipping. Finally they said they would send a pick up order on the parts and when they received them they would then send me replacements. For a supposedly 3yr part and labor warrant I was to furnish all the labor and twiddle my thumbs while I waited on parts that "might" fix my system. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE"

"I really think that Gary has had a turn for the better. I was shipping to a secondary shipping address on my cc. He e-mailed me asking for me to fax a copy of my drivers license. I replied that the address was a secondary and to please recheck. Not more than an hour later, he replied, saying that the order was shipped out, I did not need to fax him anything, and that he was going to give me free shipping because of the delay on his part. Great customer service and prices, will definately shop there again!!"

"Tried to buy a barebones system, they said they had a problem with the address on my Credit card charge, called CC company who said they did not see a problem. Emailed Gary with new address info. He wanted a fax of my CC drivers lic. I got curious and checked this ratings board, saw how bad they were and asked by email (... Deferred: Connection reset by freewaytech.com.) went undelivered.
Called them and said cancel. They said OK. Then I received a CC company email that they had ALREADY CHARGED on the first day. VERY BAD Company!

"Unbelievably good luck with this company;
in 20+ systems ordered, have had one bad
strip of SDRAM, one bad power supply and
one bad motherboard (in different systems).
Prices are good to excellent for the
components, their "value" systems use better
than average parts for CD and mobo, only
recently (last couple of systems ordered)
I've been getting cheap SDRAM in the boxes.

RMA has been slow to issue numbers and slow to
exchange parts, but that varies with who handles
the call or email.

Gary and Eric are the sales guys I've talked
to and ordering has always been a breeze.

The http://www.freewaytech.com/ Web site
is definitely not one of the better ones
as of April 2002, but the staff that
answers their telephones definitely has
a clue.
