"Horrible service
Horrible service. Beating customers out of money with trumped up fees. I used FreightCenter to deliver something to another state and they contracted the service to SAIA trucking. They asked me did I know the weight of the item I would be shipping so they could determine the quote and I did because I had weighed it myself. I took the item to SAIA myself to save money on them having to pick the item up. I personally watched the warehouse supervisor put the item on the pallet, wrap it, and weigh it and was given the official bill of lading which had the description of item, weight, and signature of the warehouse supervisor. SAIA did an excellent job. The item made it to the destination on time in excellent condition. 2 weeks later FreightCenter charged my credit card saying the item weighed more than the weight I had given originally. But as I said before, i had weighed the item and watched SAIA weigh it and it was the same weight i had given FreightCenter, not to mention it was the same weight on the bill of lading that I had which was official and signed by the SAIA warehouse supervisor. FreightCentrer said I had to file a dispute and I basically just sent the picture of the bill of lading showing the weight I had given them was the correct weighr. Weeks later, they informed me I had lost the dispute ( not surprised) because they had a different weight from the SAIA warehouse where the item was sent that was more than the one in question. So they made their decision using the evidence more favorable to them. Imagine how many customers they use this on. Lots of extra money huh?"
"Absolutely Horrible, first they show up with the wrong truck & equipment , then they no show, then they no show again with no communication at all!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!!"
"Love love love this company. Much better than any other company I have used. Thank you guys. "
"This was the worst expierience shipping somthing ever! Please think twice before you try this company.
First, Our pick-up day was 12-7- from 3pm to 7pm. I waited untill 6:30 to call and freightliner said they could not reach them after hours. I called the local roadrunner office in Romulas Mi. and they said "they had no order,...then durring out call the order popped up on her computer. After I had called Freightcenter, they just put in the order! So, Roadrunner set it up for the next day. I went home after waiting three hours in the ice cold. The driver came promptly at 3:30 and my pallet was put by my guys into the side doorway of the building(blocking it completely, so he could grab the pallet easy (5 feet from the truck) I had paid extra for "limited access and Lift-gate pick-up. The driver never set foot into my building! After the delivery was made, I received an additional bill for $143.00 for INSIDE pick-up charge! Which puts them way out of the ballpark on pricing. Yet, the pallet was picked up OUTSIDE under cameras! Thank goodness.
Not an honest company, very sorry. None of my facilities are allowed to use either of these companies!"
"Mike B is my rep and he steers me in the right direction. Luckily, my shipments are pretty standard and pre-packaged from the manufacturer. It's still nice knowing they check the details for anything obviously wrong. I couldn't run my business like I do without them! "
"They make it easy to ship out freight the few times I have to every month. Friendly too."
"My personal experience of working for FreightCenter was amazing. Getting to know other employees was an amazing experience and learning from everybody’s different points of view was so interesting. Everyone was very open and honest, and it was a very friendly and professional work environment. I really liked the professionalism of the company and the technical side to everything. The CEO has a lot to handle, but he is doing an amazing job and can run the company so smoothly even given the technical difficulty, in general, of logistics. I couldn’t imagine being in his shoes!
Also, the pay was exceptional and the incentives for doing a good job were great. Had I stayed, I was on track for an amazing promotion, but sometimes life gets in the way. But I was given so many opportunities to excel and encouraged by my coworkers to do my best and think outside the box. I really am going to miss working there.
"
"i love it thank you so much for the great rate."

"If the trucking industry wasn't hard enough to start with these guys are completely incompetent. I have had them straight up just say they cant help. They make tons of excuses. No email return when someone goes on vacation leaving jobs not even posted to the board (their only job). I cant believe they stay in business. I ask for a manager and no managers are available. How I actually ask is this "IS there a manager?" Guy on phone "yes" then it is silent for a while.... then "oh you want to talk to a manager?" I have never seen a larger group of more incompetent people. I was trying to track down a small shipment on the site it always said at pickup in the progress bar. It didn't change until it was delivered. It skipped two other stages. Then they said it would be delivered on the 11th it wasn't until the 13 (normal for freight) but still. I email to ask about the shipment, when i get a email back its a template that was sent to every customer that had emailed him. Better off going through a carrier directly or one of their competition like freightquote.com"
"WARNING: THIS COMPANY IS A MESS
Everything went great, or so we thought, until we got a bill for nearly $600, a week after we had already received our shipment. One of their representatives gave me an incorrect quote by over half in which he estimated the weight of my shipment. I later come to find out he shouldn't have quoted the weight in the first place. After waiting over a week to hear back from customer service, I got an apology, saying that they had reversed half of the charge and would work to return the second half.
Another week passes with no response. I call again and again. No one knows whats going on and I have to explain the situation again. Now I'm told that I an responsible for the second half, in spite of the previous customer service agent acknowledging that it was their fault.
So I explain this to my credit card agency. They say this is a common bait and switch and they are happy to remove the charge. I then call FreightCenter and talk to a manager. They apologize, say that customer retention will be calling me and that they acknowledge the removal of the charge. Of course this never happens.
And today I get an email from them demanding the remaining charge with interest.
This company is a complete sham. I have been lied to over and over. I have been told the issue will be resolved over and over, only to receive a threat to go to collections. I cannot express the frustration and disappointment I have experience from FreightCenter's customer service team. "
"They could not find a ruck to pick up our (2) light poles
Then they would not refund the entire amount"
"I compared rates online with several services such as Fedex and the Post. Limitations on weight restricted me from using their services. After setting up several accounting with freight companies I decided to try a freight broker. FreightCenter helped me identify which carrier would be fit my needs. They should me the cost savings offered from all their partner carriers and the service times I could expect. The billing was easy and the transaction went flawless. Thank you so much. I look forward to shipping more with your services in the near future."
"Here is how this crooked business robs you and ties your hands as a consumer. They "remeasured my package and suddenly claimed that the width was 44 inches instead of 18. They also changes the freight code resulting in an additional $300 of charge that appeared, without my permission, on the credit card statement. Their customer service department is pleasant enough, but they take no responsibility for this fraud. They pass the buck and say that it was their subcontracted shipper that remeasured it. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS. "
