"When I found the monitor I wanted to get at Frys for the best price available I jumped on it. The deal had been going on for only 2 days, but the stock seemed to be low at every store.
So I decided the best thing to do was to go into the store and see if I could find the display. I spoke to an employee at the Burbank store who said there was exactly 1 left. Well he looked up and down the aisles and couldn't find it. He also said there might be a demo unit or something and they could take a pitiful 5% off.... (5% really...????) But he never did find the Demo unit.
Flash forward 2 days. I decide to try and order the same monitor for store pickup this time. I figured maybe they'll be able to find that 1 unit, or something. I get a confirmation that it's ready and then 25 minutes later a phone call / voicemail from Mark. He tells me that they have an incomplete one that was a demo unit with No Base. I'm intrigued, so I call Mark back and am told by another associate that he is with a customer and they would have him call me back. The other associate did not take my information and didn't try and help me with the display.
So I"m sitting here wondering if Mark is going to call and decide to look around for the monitor again. I find they have some in stock at the Anaheim Store and the Oxnard Store. Each of those is an hour drive for me, so I see the option to have the Display shipped to me.
The good news is that I finally ordered the display for shipping. Hopefully they actually have them in stock this time! I also was able to use a promo code for No Tax (That's a good deal!) and shipping was free. So in the end If its all good I'll be happy, but it shouldn't be this hard.
One thing that happened to me is that it rejected my business bank card 4 times. It just wouldn't take it and said there was an error without any reason why. I was able to use my Personal Bank Card and it went through without a hitch. How strange! But hey that's Frys, what do you expect for a store that is full of Aliens and Spaceships. "
"Why not add PayPal as a method of payment when checking out? For many of us, it has been a reliable and trusted method of payment - on and off the internet. This is not a complaint - the store may have business considerations of which I do not know or understand and I trust in your judgment here.
