"Our original order for a sectional was placed on 7/23/2013. On 10/9/2013 the loveseat portion was delivered damaged with a broken back. We immediately contacted Furniture Barrel and followed all of their procedures to get it resolved. We have now had a total of 3 repair technicians to the house and still no resolution. The last appointment was on 5/16/2014 when the technician told us the loveseat couldn't be repaired. I have since e-mailed Erick at Furniture Barrel 3 times, called twice and filled out a customer contact form. The company has not called me back regarding this situation. This leaves us with no solution for a couch that was damaged on delivery 8 months ago! In 3 weeks it will be a year since we initially placed the original order. Yes, the price is good, but BEWARE!!! There is no direct phone number to the company and you will only get an answering machine. This should be your first indication that there is a problem.

"I purchased a leather sectional through Furniture Barrel because it was the best price I could find on the Internet. I had questions, and they were answered quickly through emails and Internet chat. The sofa arrived in perfect condition with no problems. Three weeks after delivery the surface of my couch was accidentally damaged, and I contacted Furniture Barrel to see about purchasing a replacement cushion. I was contacted immediately by customer service, who told me the damage might be covered under warranty, guided me through the claims process, and ordered a replacement cushion cover at no cost--all in under 24 hours. I could not be more satisfied."

"I first ordered a sectional sofa from a company in PA called Furniture XO. Despite multiple promises, that sofa never came. It took months to get my refund, but after involving the Department of Consumer Affairs and threatening to join in on another pending lawsuit against THAT company, I finally got my money back.
I then ordered the same sofa, but in a better color and for $20 less, from Furniture Barrel.
Furniture Barrel gave me excellent communication and customer service all along the way. The sofa had to come to my East Coast state all the way from the West Coast, but it arrived in great shape and in under 3 weeks. Tracking information was available all along the way. The delivery company even went beyond what was agreed and placed all three pieces of the sectional in the room for which is was intended.
I am 100% satisfied with the service and product I received from Furniture Barrel. If I need to buy furniture again in the future, I will check with them first.

"On 4/14/2012 I ordered a sectional couch from Furniture Barrel for $1000. It was delivered with water damage to one side. Furniture Barrel agreed to have the couch repaired but it took until 10/5/2012 for them to get the material and technician here. When the tech opened the material package, it was the wrong part. I had to take 4 hours off of work for this repair and Furniture Barrel expects me to wait more time and take another half day off work for the repairs. I called Ashley Furniture, the couch brand, and they said most parts are in stock and arrive within two weeks. Why 6 months? Ashley said that would be because of the retailer (Furniture Barrel.) I asked for a replacement or cash in lieu of repairs and Furniture Barrel wont respond. Their delay appears intentional and they refuse to contact me unless I contact them first and push for a response.I purchased and paid for a new couch six months ago and still dont have one!"

"Don't waste your time or money!... I have wasted over 2 months and about $1400. So they dont listen. 1st time they tried to deliver the couch was while I was at work.. I had specified when I would be off work at 430pm and they delivered it 10 am... 2nd time was a saturday... I sat around and waited for them but they never showed. I called again stating the time i got off work and set up another delivery. 3rd time they delivered at 10 (again I was at work)... but I had my sister come in from another state to be there for the delivery since they can't get their time right. I finally get home excited to see my couch for the 1st time. It was perfect except the material wasn't the right type. They says its microfiber... but it feels like suede.. and since I have been sleeping on microfiber for the last 6 yrs... I'm pretty sure I know what it feels like... (so pretty much they called me stupid... rude as hell). I email them and call them back trying to get help... (again its been 2 months) but nothing gets resolved... material is so uncomfortable that I have a blanket over it. so I finally get an email back and they say shipping will be $700 for return shipping... I orginally paid $1400 for the whole set so not sure why I'm paying the price of a couch to get rid of it. Especially when their website http://www.furniturebarrel.com says FREE shipping. Not sure when FREE became $700... guess I missed that memo. I finally give up... I'm not wasting my time with ignorant people any more. I am really hoping I can sell it locally or on ebay..."

Living set arrived today, furniture is beautiful & as promised. The only complaint I have is the delivery company took FOREVER ... My furniture was picked up in California on 3/9 and Arrived in NJ on 3/23 & finally delivered on 3/26 .... If you don't mind waiting for your product Furniture Barrel is the way to go !!!

Dear Friends at Furniture Barrel:

I thought you would like to know that I received my Furniture Barrel Order #10008 (an Ashley-Warren Brown Full Sleeper Sofa) last night, as promised and as scheduled by your delivery partner, HomeDirectUSA.

The sofa arrived in perfect condition . . . not even a scratch. The HomeDirectUSA delivery "guys" were most professional:

1. The HomeDirectUSA warehouse staff called me to arrange a delivery date. The delivery men also called me several times yesterday, to confirm that they were "on the way."

2. The sofa was unpacked and set-up (meaning the delivery men had to attach the sofa's "feet," which, for some reason, were not attached at the factory).

3. All the shipping debris (shipping carton, plastic cover, etc.) was taken away, and the delivery area was thoroughly cleaned.

In summary, my experience with yesterday's HomeDirectUSA delivery was outstanding.

As a vendor, Furniture Barrel did an excellent job for me:

1. shipped my Order #10008 very quickly, with only a couple of weeks' waiting vs. other vendors, which estimated waiting periods up to several months for this particular sleeper sofa.

2. offered a highly competitive purchase price. Only Amazon.com offered a comparable price.

3. partnered with a most professional, reliable delivery service, HomeDirectUSA (see above).

I would recommend Furniture Barrel, its delivery partner, HomeDirectUSA, and the sofa which I purchased (an Ashley-Warren Sleeper Sofa) to anyone/everyone.

"We received excellent service from Furniture Barrel. Our furniture arrived in perfect condition. I knew there was a possibility all the pieces would not be available since we ordered a discontinued bedroom set but the optimism and respect I received from their staff was the reason I chose their business instead of our local Ashley Store. The shipping did take time but it was still reasonable compared to our local store. The shippers were effecient and respectful. We will definately be making more purchases from Furniture Barrel in the future."

"I was pretty nervous after I ordered from this vendor since I had read so many bad reviews. I will say that it did take quite a while to receive our furniture (4 weeks), but otherwise everything went very smoothly. The price of the bedroom set was almost $1000 less than anywhere else (even with paying the extra $$ to have the delivery crew set up the furniture, which was well worth the price). Ordering online was simple, the customer service was not bad. (had to leave a message when we called, but they did call back within a reasonable amount of time) Delivery is through home direct USA. I knew ahead of time that they were a little inflexible about their scheduling, so what we did was when we knew the furniture was in, we scheduled delivery for a week and a half out when we knew we were already off for the day and it wouldn't matter what time they came. They called us the evening before and gave us the time frame of 11am-3pm and showed up at 1pm with 30 minutes notice. The men delivering were friendly and quick.
All in all, I realize that not everyone has had as good an experience as we did, but do know that people are more likely to write reviews when they had a bad experience than a good one.

"Ordered a bed in October and was charged on 10/18/2010. After a dozen calls the bed finally arrived in January 2011 - damaged. They screwed up the replacement shipment as well and were unwilling to take away the damaged bed. They only refunded my money after I disputed the charge on my credit card."

"I ordered a couch, loveseat, and chair on 1/5/11. The furniture barrel website says "ships within 1-2 weeks", well it is 2/15/11 today and I still have not seen my funiture, nor do I have accurate tracking information. But they sure had no problem billing me 2,400 dollars though! I am at this moment sitting on hold for over 25 minutes and I cannot get an answer as to what the problem is. Yes, they are cheap-but believe me here is the reason why! Do not order from these people! They are not honest! "
