"Don't buy anything from this horrible company. I ordered two Burr Brown OPA627's. They billed me for them, but said that they were shipping OPA27's, which is an inferior product. They then said oh sorry, we are shipping you the product you ordered and it will arrive in 7-10 days. Almost 3 weeks later it arrives but a pin is broken off. When I tell them that it finally arrived, but it arrived damaged, they say thanks for the update, and nothing more. These people should and will go out of business."

I paid a ridiculous sum of 44 dollars for express shipping to get my order in 3-6 days. It has now been 10 days and they haven't even shipped the order. They answered the first e-mail I sent saying one item was back ordered. After telling them to cancel the one item, they stopped responding to repeated e-mails but billed my credit card anyways. They have NO PHONE NUMBER to contact them. I filed a complain with consumer reports just now. Watch out for these scam artists and their fraudulent tactics! There are plenty of better sites to order the same supplies from. "
"Well packaged order FINALLY arrived almost 3 weeks after ordering. After a week I emailed asking about order status and they quickly responded that one item was backordered. They're 'locations' are a little misleading as the package arrived from Thailand! Will order from again, but well in advance. Don't expect quick shipping! "
"I have purchased a couple of times with very positive results. The pricing, product range and web site are all realistic & competent.
Shipping has been good on small orders of shelf stock, but I have a current order worth hundreds of dollars for a bulk quantity of relays, and they have stumbled. Delivery has always been around 7-10 day in the past, but this is now nearing a month, and to be expected, the delay is attributed to the upstream suppliers. However I have deaadlines too, and recent mail enquiries correspondence has not been getting replies which discourages me.
I know the stuff will come eventually, but I am going to have to order from a second source if no clear delivery target is provided within the next couple of days.

"Placed two orders in May. One came, the other is still in USPS limbo. If this one package could not be delivered to my house (for some unknown reason), they should have received it back by now. I've contacted Futurlec multiple times, and they do not respond to my emails.
If you must order from this company, use a traceable method, and make sure you get the tracking information.

"Ordered a bunch of parts worth around $60 on the 13th of May. Got an auto email from them that the order is being processed. A week later I got an email from them saying that the order has been shipped and that it should get to me within 3 days. Sure enough it was there 2 hours earlier than the scheduled time. Thanks to Fedex. Parts were as described all good. Very happy! Got parts in exactly 10 days from placing the order.
Two complaints: Firstly I had paid for 2-3 day shipping - came to $16 - which is not bad at all from Thailand. Nevertheless, while the parts did get to me 3 days after they shipped it, it took them a whole week to process my order. Secondly, they never personally communicated with me in between and let me know that it was going to take them a little while to ship the order. If they had done that I would have been "Very Satisfied".
In short expect slow shipping and great prices."
"Every time I've ordered from this site, I've experienced HUGE delays between placing the order and receiving it. It is now the 28th of May, my order was placed on 21 April, but I still haven't received the items ordered.
DO NOT order from these people if you need your items in any kind of timely manner."
"I purchased about $93 online on the 14th and received no response on the 16th so I emailed and asked what was up.
I was informed that they were waiting for 2 items and I had not heard anything on the 19th so I emailed again.
Today on the 20th I received an email stating that the order was ready to send. I then received an email stating that the shipping was now going to be $47 and not $16 as I authorized. They asked me to authorize a charge of an additional $31 on my card.
I sent an email asking why and got no response. I now know I received no response because they're not open now: they're in Thailand.
So in effect, I ordered $94 worth of parts and then paid extra for faster shipment, then got a delay which I was uninformed of for out of stock parts. So now they want triple my shipping charge after the fact after having to wait for my parts to come into stock. Not only this, they have no contact phone and from the timestamp on the emails, they're open at 4AM pacific.
Eventually this situation was amended. They have good quality products at low prices. As everyone else has said, do not order if you need your parts ASAP."
"I have placed many orders since I first posted this message. I just placed another yesterday. I had a problem with an item I ordered, they responded in 1 day to my e-mail. So they definitely write back. My order will be here around 10 days from now.

If you need it faster, order from another company, but you will not find a cheaper price than FUTURLEC(I have looked).
I have made many orders from Futurlec over the past few years and never experienced a problem. I live in California, and it takes 10 days (almost to the day) to get the order. The shipping cost is very low, about $6-$9 for a $100.00 order.
They have a very good selection of items, and I've never seen a cheaper price. I buy there first, then use one of the other big supply places to get the items not carried by FuturLec.
I noticed that most of the negative reviews were from years ago. Maybe they had problems back then, but I haven't had any trouble in the past two years. Someone in another comment implied all good reviews were written by FuturLec employees....I definitely don't work for them. And yes, I would recommend them to a friend.
Usually the online inventory is correct, but there have been times they were out of parts. If you don't get your order in 10 days, write them an e-mail. You order might be held up while they wait for parts to come in. I did have that happen once. They usually respond within 1 day by e-mail.
Big Reminder!! If you don't hear from them in 10 days-send an e-mail! For some reason, they don't tell you if they are holding your order while they wait for parts. It may be weeks waiting! I just write and tell them to cancel anything not in stock and send the order out now."
"I almost placed an order with Futurlec, but then decided to look up the reviews on the web. After reading the horrid reviews, I decided not to use them. Then I saw how much more certain items cost on the DigiKey website, so I decided to take a risk and order the items that were A LOT cheaper using the Futurlec website. I kept my order to $40 to be safe, and kept monitoring my credit card to make sure it was not compromised (as some others claimed in their reviews).
My order came in just fine within the 7-10 days they promised. The order was sent from Thailand (only $6 shipping). There was no fraudulent activity on my credit card. The prices are excellent probably because the labor is so cheap in Thailand.
I intend to order from Futurlec in the future. As long as you can wait a week or so for the parts, then it is a great and cheap place to find components."
"After reading the reviews here, I was skeptical at first, but did not have that big of an order (21 different components of various numbers) to be overly concerned. So I gave them a try.
I received my parts from FUTURLEC today (4-28-08). The parts were ordered on 14 April, shipped on 17 April and arrived today 28 April via Air Mail. I do not think that was too bad considering the on line orders are apparently received in NSW, Australia, then filled, and shipped in Bangkok. The package also had the customs declaration on it as well. Very well packaged. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones.
If you are not in a hurry, seems to be a good source. While their web site is not straight forward, The information on how they are organized is there. They do need to improve their communication skills because my one email to them a week ago was not answered. They do say to allow two weeks for receipt after shipping notification is posted.
We all want to take the time to complain when someone does us wrong but few take the time to pass on the good experiences as well. Hopefully, others will have as good of an experience with this company as I did. I plan to use them again.

Same story as many others here. Ordered some components. Got no verification, but my account was charged (almost immediately) . I've written, and they don't write back. It's true the prices are great, but that should be a warning to all of us.
After some consideration I suspect that many if not all of the positive or not so negative reviews here have been written by the staff Futurlec. Do yourself a favor, order from somewhere else. Futurlec will take your money and run."
"After an initial delay of 2 weeks (no response, no parcel), I sent an email to their "contact us" email address, and then everything was quick (well, 2 days email turnaround time): they confirmed the order is ok and 3 (out of about 15) pieces are not on stock. I asked them to wait until end of that week and then send whatever they have (the main parts were already on-stock). On Tuesday next week they sent out the parcel without the one missing item (a US$5 jumper kit). The main parcel arrived the expected 1 week later, and the jumper kit arrived another one week later (today), completely unexpected and at no additional charge for mailing this last piece."
"I placed an order with Futurlec on 11/27/07 when I check the order status at their websitte claims that it was shipped on 11/30/07. It is now 1/2/08 (33 days later) and I still haven't received my shipment. I emailed Futurlec a number of times and they haven't responded. There is no phone number to call for customer service. By the way, they billed my credit card immediately when I placed the order. I am totally dissatisfied with this company. They may have the lowest prices, but if you never get your order it doesn't matter."
