"They sent me the wrong part even with the corrrect vin then charged me to ship back. they have zero customer service skills. I have been chasing the for one month now to resolve this issue. "
"Ordered a few things from these idiots before I read the reviews. On the website, a "head gasket" said it "includes intake and exhaust gaskets and head bolts". Head gasket showed up but that's it. Also ordered rod bearings. Description said "includes upper and lower bearing for one rod". Ordered four of them for four rods. What shows up? Four boxes, each containing four sets of bearings. So now I can rebearing 32 pistons. Cool. Refund for the extra bearings I paid for and don't need? How about those other gaskets and head bolts? Pfft... Yeah right. No one will answer the phone and no response after two weeks to any of my emails. Shoulda just paid the couple extra dollars and got it from Amazon. "
"Probably an 'OK' source if you know exactly what you need and do not require any assistance.
Otherwise, you're screwed.
Impossible to get a hold of via phone.
Zero response from email inquiries, AND contact form inquiries via their website.
I sent them an insurance estimate for >$15k in parts for my 2018 Z06 and did not even get a response.
I can only imagine the nightmare of ordering something and having to return it.
This business grew out of a local dealership's part's department and obviously they have no experience in how to scale an internet-based business. If you call the dealer, they say they cannot help."
"Returned a faulty part that did not work. Was told that it had to be reviewed for warranty. That was several months ago. E-mails now go unanswered. You can't get to a person, they just send you to their website. Wish I would have read these reviews before I spent the $150. Hoping I can save someone else the hassle. "
"Parts were on hold for more than 2 weeks every time I called to check on status they wanted more money to ship out. This is a corrupt internet company look at the rest of reviews stay away avoid the headache. They intentionally mean to steal lady said "I didn't know you had already talk to someone about price increase"??? Seriously? "
" GM Parts direct promised me a delivery time/date. This was a part for a customer's car (at a repair shop). Before GM parts Direct's part arrived: I secured a part from another source, installed it, and delivered the completed vehicle to my customer. GM Parts Direct, then refused to refund my purchase price and shipping.
They did this to an Auto Repair Shop! You decide.................
"
"My son ordered a headlight for his car and they sent the wrong one and they wouldn't exchange it because we put it on the car then had to get it inspected just to find out it was not the right on. DO NOT ORDER from these people. The catalog called for one part and they sent the wrong one. I want my $1000 dollars back."
"Web site not working properly..took my order but gave me no confirmation just another blank page to enter again..and again.....
Called my credit card company and they advised approvals were mounting up to the seller at my demise....
I have emailed GMPartsDirect also know as (Flow GM Auto Center in Winston Salem), called multiple times, left messages over and over again......
They still aren't responding to any thing...Will be contesting the charges to my credit card account......
There is some issue they blame in a post about Address Verification System (AVS) causing the problem.....
IF SO, REMOVE IT AND QUIT CHARGING PEOPLES CREDIT CARDS OVER AND OVER AND OVER......
Since they haven't the courtesy to respond in any manner, I plan to files complaints with The Attorney Generals Office, The Better Business Bureau, General Motors, and others.......
DON'T BE SORRY......SHOP ELSEWHERE !!!!
There are hundreds of complaints on these rip off people.....
I notice their 5 star ratings never have anything written and are repeated over and over everyday.....
Wonder what employee is doing that for them......??????"
"I was about to order a part that weighs 3 lbs. with dimensions of 54 x 14 x 10 inches. The shipping charge came up in my "cart" as $73.63 for UPS standard ground shipping. I went to the UPS website and entered the information double the weight and a couple of inches each way to allow for packaging and was given a quote of about $17 from their location to mine.
I emailed their customer service and asked them to review the shipping crate and received a reply stating that the shipping rate is right with no explanation of how they arrived at the amount. They proceeded to ramble on about how low cost their products are compared to a GM dealership so apparently in their logic that justifies pocketing an additional $56.00 and writing it off as a shipping expense. "
"This company is a TOTAL SCUM. They are not affiliated with GM by any means. DO NOT get tricked. Their customer service is useless. They will not disclose all of the cost associated with your purchase. Later when you try to sort out the order they will play STUPID as if they don't feel is their mistake.
AVOID BY ALL MEANS."
"My order was placed on August 9th, 2018. The estimated shipping time for special orders is 7-10 business days. After 20 business days had elapsed, I used their online support system to generate a ticket that said the following:
"Just curious as to why it’s taking so long for this order to ship. Your website lists special orders as shipping in 48-72 hours and that they may occasionally take 7-10 business days. This order has now been in progress for 20 business days and I would like to know a more detailed status other than the order status page that lists the ETA as N/A for every item."
A few days after I generated this ticket, the order had shipped. I received the order VIA UPS on September 17, 2018. Here is where it gets absolutely ridiculous. The following is an additional comment that was added to the same support ticket noted above.
"A portion of the order arrived today, however, several parts were not included in the package but were listed as complete under the order status page. All of the parts that were ordered had this tracking number listed on the order status page. My credit card was also charged for the entirety of the order and only half of it arrived. L"
This additional comment went without reply for one day until I was finally able to reach someone by telephone. This person said they did not know why my entire order was not delivered and that they would contact a different department and get back to me by the end of the same business day. The following is the first response that I received from anyone at GMPartsDirect.com.
"Thanks for choosing GMpartsdirect.com.
I sincerely apologize that there is an issue with your package. Please thoroughly check the box and email us a list of the parts missing. If you could also send us pictures of the box and its contents it would be greatly appreciated."
Simple enough. (Pictures omitted)
"This is a list of the parts that were not present in the package. If you do have the parts, is there any way they can be expedited to me? This entire experience has been nothing but terrible. From the day I ordered the parts until the package was shipped a total of 34 days elapsed. The to add to the nightmare, the box didn't even have all of the parts in it that I ordered. Then to make matters even worse, I created a support ticket about an updated order status because it was taking excessively long compared to your 7 to 10 business day shipping estimate for special orders, and that support ticket went without any response for 8 days until I was finally able to get ahold of someone on the telephone, after which someone finally acknowledged there was an issue and replied to the support ticket. Worst customer service ever...
Crankshaft Seal 25193519 1 $5.73
Top Nut, LEFT 11517996 2 $5.68
Filter 13503675 1 $13.75
Applique, RIGHT 95991483 1 $21.32
Front Cable 13409686 2 $30.50
Wiper Blade 95161606 1 $8.27
Wiper Blade 95430139 1 $8.27"
The response to this was something that I do not even know how to explain. It appears to be the beginning of a blame game where UPS is at fault and not them. It also places the burden of proof on the buyer, after already sending the requested photographs.
"When the package arrived, did it look like it had been re-taped by UPS? It is possible that due to the weight of the package it opened during transit and parts may have been lost.
It is also possible we may have placed more than one part in the boxes that were inside your package. Please thoroughly check each box if you haven't done so already.
Once the backordered spring arrived to our facility your order was packed and sent out that day. We have looked through our facility and cannot find any of the parts that were missing from your order.
Get back to us when you are able to so that we can proceed."
No more BS.
"Here is a photograph of the taped edge of the package that arrived to me.
(Photograph omitted)
Here is a photograph of the shipping label stating that it weighed 28 pounds as well as the tracking number that is referenced in the screenshots of the tracking information from the UPS website.
(Photograph omitted)
This is a photograph of the order number on the outside of the box.
(Photograph omitted)
This is a photograph of the box that arrived to me, with the parts that were inside of the box removed from their boxes. The shipping boxes were flattened and placed inside the box with all of the packaging materials that were originally included in the box.
(Photograph omitted)
The parts that were in the box are: the two strut mounts. Four springs, two front, two back. And the interior door handle.
(Photograph omitted)
This is a photograph of the same box above, sitting on a scale that says its weight is 27.71 pounds.
(Photograph omitted)
Here are two screenshots of the UPS tracking information that confirm the boxes weight as 27.70 pounds.
(Photograph omitted)
I am unsure of how much more proof is required that the entirety of my order did not arrive in this single box. The weight that YOU specified as the shipping weight when the label was created matches the UPS tracking information. This clearly indicates that there was nothing removed from the box after if left your facility and further clarifies that the parts were never in the box when it shipped. This is not a UPS shipping issue, this is an issue with your distribution facility. Whats even more disturbing is that you cannot find the parts anywhere around your facility. Please advise on how to proceed..."
Their response:
"I have credited your visa for $****.****, the sum of the parts left out of your package."
I do not believe I should have to pay the shipping expenses to ship items that were never shipped to me. You'd think that anyone with any form of customer service would refund the shipping difference as well...
"You can also credit my credit card the difference between the shipping prices for the products I did not receive. I went ahead and did all of the work involved in that for you as well.
Here is a screenshot of the shipping estimate for the parts that actually arrived to me next to the price of shipping I paid in order to receive all of the parts. The difference between to two comes to $8.49."
This ticket was closed within the same hour it was updated without any acknowledgement from anyone regarding whether or not the additional $8.49 I paid to ship the items that were not even shipped to me will be refunded to my credit card.
From placing my order to not receiving my entire order and then trying to get the money back I spent on the parts that I did not receive, a total of 41 days have elapsed. This website is an absolute embarrassment to e-commerece everywhere. Use them when you do not need anything for at least a month and a half and then after that period of time, only half of your order will show up."
"
9/10/2018 3pm I placed an order Your site says things typically ship with in 24 hours.
9/12/2018 8:30 am I checked order status as I had not received a shipping notice. At that time the status fields were blank and "ETA' is all "N/A'. Per the instructions on the website I open ticket.
9/12/2018 9:07 am I receive a response that one part " is on back order from General Motors with no estimated time of release" At what point was someone going to tell me this if I hadn't opened a ticket? This would have been good information to have TWO DAYS AGO. Now it's two days later and the car is still not any closer to be repaired. I'm also told 2 other parts are not correct for the car. Despite those parts being suggested BY their WEBSITE.
9/12/2018 10:02 am I reply to the e-mail "please cancel the order and refund payment". THERE HAS BEEN NO RESPONSE.
9/13/2018 8:30 am I call 1-***-***-****. It rings something like 10 times then is finally picked up by an automated service. Says to wait. Cycles a few times then puts me in a voice mail. I leave a message.
9/13/2018 9:03 am. I try to leave a message using the contact us on the website. The contact us via e-mail doesn't work says "required fields are bold" but won't send the mail. I use their e-mail address. STILL waiting for them to cancel the order. Wasted days and my time with nothing to show for it."
"Immediately after ordering i realized that i did not need these parts, and wanted to cancel the order. There is no option to cancel the order despite them taking over a week to be shipped. When they arrived, i filled out a 'return form' from their site, and never heard anything on it. Then did more searching on their site, and there is a "ticket" system for these returns. The one i submitted didn't show up on there, so filled it out again. Then over 2 weeks, still no response from them, then they simply closed my ticket without a word or response. No options on their site to give out their direct #, everything via email. Finally saw a phone # on the bottom of the webpage, called it, and no answer, after a few tries it went to VOICEMAIL, who the f- has voicemail on a customer service line. I would prefer to wait until answered. Filled out another return form online (3rd one) Left a message and will see if i get any return call. I would highly recommend NOT buying from this site. Order from Amazon or any other distributor that is able to get your parts.

"Purchased a tonneau cover for my GMC Sierra All Terrain X. One webpage said it would fit. The VIN was “unable to be verified “. I ordered anyway, since the first page said, “This item will fit your truck”. It didn’t.
I called the phone number given him multiple times and left two messages at two separate times. No return calls. I emailed the company and after being ignored again, I emailed with a NC Atty Gen threat. My email was finally replied to.
The reply had the approval for return a full page down, after they listed the reasons I shouldn’t be approved. After flipping out for denying my return (didn’t read to page 2), they emailed again to let me know I was in fact approved.
Now for the real kick in the groin... I have to pay to return the items AS WELL AS no refund for the original shipment! I basically paid $125 to find out it didn’t fit.
If you’re going to use a big name (GM), act like a big company. People screw up, on both ends. The customer shouldn’t have to lose twice for an error on both ends. Go elsewhere, pay the extra price for buyer security."
"Stay away. They won't help you with anything after the purchase. No one answers the phone and they don't respond to emails. They sent the wrong parts and I can't get a hold of them to return the parts. Shocked that a company like this still exists."
