"After I ordered online yesterday, I got an email informing me to pick up at the store.
1. They never informed me there was something they didn't have enough inventory. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been there (wasting time to pick up).
2. After they made this mistake, I showed the man in the store "Your order is ready for pickup!" and told him there was a mistake since the items in the bag didn't match with my order. Then, he just told me in a rude way "go to call the customer service". I said, "this is caused by GNC, not me. It should be your job to contact them to find out what is the issue". Then, he went away and didn't apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.
3. Then, I decided to cancel the order and contact customer service to cancel the order. The person replied "I have submitted a request to attempt to cancel your order, this is not a guarantee"! It is ridiculous that I ordered it yesterday, and I cancelled the order due to their problems inside GNC, and then they said they couldn't guarantee the order could be cancelled!
4. They wouldn't give you your reward points automatically for stuff you purchased, unless you contact the customer service, and then they will add it for you.
Be CAREFUL! Due to the facts, I WOULD NEVER trust their products. Just look at the poor management and poor customer service! Will you trust a business like this?
I wish I could give a ZERO star!"
"Waited 40 minutes to speak to a representative about creatine. They asked me multiple redundant questions and made me repeat myself multiple times about a simple product. On top of this they required me to give them a full name, email, phone number just to ask a simple question. The geniuses didn't give me a callback number in case we were disconnected. In fact i'm pretty sure the person on the phone just muted me and hung up. They seemed to be talking at a snails pace as if they were on some sort of horse tranquillizer. Don't even bother calling their phone number just walk into the store. Terrible service. "
"I have purchased items from GNC many times in the past. Lately, the items are very close to expiration dates. This past order had one item that expired one YEAR ago and one that expired one month prior to receipt. I called them and they requested pictures of the expiration dates and lot numbers which I immediately emailed to them. This was over 2 weeks ago. They stated that I would have a refund within 5 business days. I recalled them today and am on the phone over one half hour getting many excuses but no explanation and now they want me to send them my full bank statement. That is none of their business. The bank confirmed to me that they have not received the credit and there is no way that I am sending my bank statement to some customer service agent in the Philippines!! Stay far away from GNC at all costs."
"I highly recommend not to use gnc or one in flower mound tx they don’t put your point on will try to sell you anything they will send you tons of emails with discounts and when you go to the store you won’t be able to use them. "
"The health care products I bought at www.gnc.com from December 19 to 20, 2019 will be returned to the seller on April 6, 2020. The seller received the goods, but the money will not be returned to me. Now is the seller money does not return to me, unscrupulous business, goods also took the money also took, I am the consumer is not guaranteed, angry people"
"For the past few years, I have been a regular customer at GNC and despite my status of “Pro member” there, it did not prevent me from getting stolen.
Recently, GNC offered me a reduction on my protein purchases if I subscribed to a regular purchase plan which is without commitment and I free to choose on what delay I want to receive my products. I bought two MassXXX and subscribed to receive the next orders in 90 days.
Surprisingly, less than one month GNC after made a debit on my account. When I contacted by phone to complain, the company made it clear the error surely comes from the store at the time of activation, and can do nothing. In order to find an agreement, I asked GNC to redirect the product to another address because I was on relocation process and I won’t be able to receive it. I also promised to take it back to a to any GNC shop, but obsessed with money, the company did not cooperate under the pretext it cannot afford to change the destination of an order , while FedEx said otherwise and was waiting for their authorization. At that moment I understood that GNC was ripped me off.
While I continued to request refund for this product that I neither recovered nor consumed, a customer adviser made me understand in a barely veiled speech that I will not come out a winner given the balance of power which plays in their favor.
I fought with TD Bank, supporting evidence (copies e-mail exchanged with GNC) on the case, but unfortunately I made no match for these two giants.
Thus, I make myself the spokesperson for all these clients abused by GNC and at the same time call others to be cautious about this company which keep stealing money from its clients without any consideration or scruple. The more you trust them, the more you expose yourself.
A word to the wise, however!

"I visited the GNC in Charleston WV at the South Ridge location today. I was helped by Rachel and she was very helpful and knew a lot about the products I was interested in. I will visit this location more in the future. Thanks Rachel your awesome!"
"I purchased Pro Performance AMP Amplified Gold Whey 100% Protein Vanilla Ice Cream Flavor (891g) from a GNC store in Robinson Bacolod. It was on sale for 1,700 PHP (32 USD) from its 3,300 PHP original retail price because, as the saleslady explained, it was a new product the company is promoting. When I opened it at home, my wife and I were bothered by a foul smell that came out of the container and a rotten milk/egg like smell filled the house. At first, we thought that the smell was strong because the product was new and we just opened the sealed container. The following day we prepared two servings after our workout at the gym, although the smell was still strong compared to other whey protein products we previously consumed. As soon we drank it, we felt uncomfortable and both the smell and the taste were nauseating and made us feel rather sick in the stomach. We questioned if this how the product is supposed to taste or it is perhaps damaged. The next day I decided to try it again—my wife didn’t have the stomach for it anymore. I prepared a serving with a colder water this time and the result was the same, nausea and feeling of disgust. We brought the container back to GNC Robinson and explained our concern. We asked to exchange it with another flavor or product that is less strong in taste and smell and more tolerable to consume. I also brought the plastic shaker I used for preparing the drink, which I already washed twice. I opened the cover of the shaker and had two staff smell it. They agreed that it was, as we described, disgusting! The foul smell had also filled up the store upon opening the container. After a long wait at the store for the management in Manila to receive our complaint and make their decision, we were asked to wait for a day before we receive the reply. We left the product with the store manager for testing as she requested and left. The following day, I received a text message from the manager saying: “Good afternoon, Sir. Sorry to tell you that we cannot give a replacement of your whey protein upon the decision of our head office. Thank you for your kind understanding.” I replied thanking her for the updates and informing her that they can keep the container. We were disappointed and opted not to bring such nauseating and malodorous product back home, and to let the store deal with disposing it rather than us. After all, we lost the money we paid and the time we spent going back and forth to the store and waiting for managerial decisions. For the past many years, we have enjoyed the quality, taste and benefits of pure protein shakes from different companies and at lower cost. We learned a valued lesson: To shop somewhere else and to not fall again for GNC’s persuasive sales schemes. "
"I waited almost an hour on online chat for help because every time I tried to place an order it wouldn’t let me, who I spoke to told me to close all apps and retry which I had already done multiple times,so I asked him if he could place my order which he did but it took forever and after all was said and done I got a email later that some of the items I ordered would not be mailed because they are out of them but when placing the order with customer service he never said that they were out of stock and sent me an email of all my items and charged me for them, so needless to say I was disappointed with the whole outcome of my time online trying to place the order on my own and getting no where and then waiting a long time to chat with someone and spending quite a bit of time with him and then to find out I wouldn’t be getting something was very disappointing. I will not order online from GNC again and not sure if I’ll go to the store for my supplements and post workout drinks or go to another company ."
"At a GNC store they charged me for a membership that I didn’t want. The employee said he couldn’t reverse the charge, that I should call to customer service. I have call them 7 times, a machine answers and apologizes for not attend. This service is horrible.

"I ordered from the Canadian website yet was still charged in USD without any warning, and ordered over a week ago and still no sight of my order. will not waste my time ordering from here again"
"Shame on you, GNC.com
This review specifically relates to the GNC.com website. This was my first and last time ordering on GNC.com.
The experience was gobbsmackingly frustrating. I ordered Isopure 7.5 lb pound protein powder. The process of ordering was fairly seamless. I added the product to the cart, checked out, and received a confirmation. Easy peasy...right? Not so much.
Here's where the fun begins. Twelve hours after placing the online order, I received an email that stated (paraphrasing) that the ordered was cancelled...no reason, no explanation, no nothing. So, I called GNC Customer Service. I was advised by CSA that the order was out of stock, and that there was no comparable product. And to make matters even more rich, GNC sent through a payment authorization to my card which will sit there for three to five business days before it is released. Therefore, I essentially paid for a product that I was guaranteed not to receive. Hmmm...
As I explained to the CSA, it is a lousy business practice to not have a "real time" inventory control system. And it is even worse to tie up a customer's funds with a bogus preemptive authorization. Just do what Amazon does. Query the customer account to make sure it is an active account, and then prior to shipping, bill the customer.
I am really annoyed. I could have used that money, that GNC ****, for an immediate purchase for another bill that I could have paid. Really, really bad business practice. I filed a complaint with their Consumer Affairs Department, and received a voicemail from a CSA Supervisor, not a Consumer Affairs representative explaining the same policy. I guess the customer is not worthy of a simple higher level, or escalated return call from someone who care. They are not getting the point. The point is to reevaluate their programs/policies to balance the customer experience versus the business requirements.
I guess none of it matters. I will not be ordering from GNC.com ever again. I don't need my money **** with nothing to show for it.
Think twice before you use GNC.com"
"My order was cancelled without any reason. The site still shows the items being in stock so either they cannot update their inventory or decided not to honor the buy one, get 50% off offer. Either way it reflects poor customer service so I will not purchase from GNC again."
"Avoid shopping on this web site as GNC.com staff and supervisors will do nothing to fix and address an issue?! An online web site order placed on 03/17/2016 for one (1) order totaling $139.71 was charged to a credit card and debit card for $139.71 each and on top of that I CANCELLED the order with a Customer Service rep on 03/17/2016 at 9:49 pm EDT and my credit card and debit card due to an inept online web site ERROR is still reflecting as pending on both accounts for one (1) CANCELLED order. I have filed a BBB complaint to date over this. Save your time, money, aggravation and credit card/debit card account integrity and do not shop online!!!! GNC.com makes claims that they value and respect their Customer-IT IS A BIG FAT LIE!!!!"
"I placed an order on October 5th, estimated arrival was the 10th. I kept checking and there was never any updates for the shipping. I checked today because today was the day was supposed to be delivered and now its not till the 13th. Was only one state away and it certainly shouldn't take that long to ship one little bottle of supplements. Now days when you order online you get items in one to two days most of the time, I would think a few days should be sufficient. Little disappointed."
