"Did not get a response about my unlock code for Bell Canada iPhone 4. I had to contact them to find out what was happening after a week and they sent me back an e-mail saying my code could not be found and asked if I would like them to look at a more comprehensive server!!!? Why wouldn't they just use this first anyway? I said yes, then they sent me another e-mail after a few days asking the exact same thing! "

"Sadly, GSM Liberty could not honour their guarantee of a lock code for my Motorola Atrix.
On the front page of their website, you may enter you IMEI code and their "system" will tell you if 1) they can unlock your phone, and 2) how long the wait for the unlock code will be. When I did this it indicated that I would wait 6-10 minutes. 14 hours later I still had not received the code and so I began attempting to contact GSM Liberty customer service. I wrote "attempting" because in all of my efforts I was never able to communicate with a single, living person.
Over 3 days later I received an automated message indicating that an unlock code could not be found for my phone, and that they were refunding my expense.
I believe that they trap potential customers on their front page by indicating that they can find a lock code in a short time. Once you've paid the story is completely different.
I've indicated N/A for Customer Service in this survey because it was Not Available to me. I was never able to communicate with a person, and for all I know the entire operation could be completely automated and run from some person's laptop in a cyber cafe. Who knows!

"GSM Liberty, successfully unlocked my Canadian (Bell Canada carrier), Samsung 551 (GT-5510) smartphone the first try. Very helpful chat customer service. I watched a video on youtube before attempting to unlock the phone which also really helped. It is important to know that you should not let your previous carrier become in-active before switching. Only try the unlock code once too. If for whatever reason it doesn't work, it is better to tell GSM Liberty than to keep trying. You only get 5 tries and the phone will then be hard locked, and may never be able to be unlocked. So only use the code once. Once unlocked, the phone is now unlocked permanently and you don't need to ever unlock it again. You can switch SIM cards and travel with the same phone in different countries. The cost was good, I paid 29.99. It is also important to turn off your wifi and uncheck or turn off, your airplane mode if it is on, before unlocking the phone. OVERALL, I would totally recommend GSM liberty, and will use them again in the future. I would suggest to GSM that they should post the code that you can dial, to check if you have successfully unlocked the phone. I found it in a video, but I don't have it with me right now. "They stole my money. I requested a code, paid with PayPal and selected a carrier based on the current company I am with now, after few minutes I retracted and sent them an email indicating what my current company was and which that company from which I got my phone was. I thought that was enough to change my order.
2 days after, I received the code, and none of my indications was adopted. In other words, they just ignored everything I told about changing my carrier before sending me the code. Of course I use the code and find out that this doesn't work. I contact customer service and they tell me that this is my fault for not choosing the right carrier, even though I alerted them about that change (several times) few minutes after clicking the PayPal button.
That's stealing money online, I am really upset with this company, the code didn't work and the only thing they say is that it is my fault."
