"The Gampepc rig I bought in 1999 was a pentium 500 MHZ with 512 megs of Rram. The rig lasted for 6 long years. The first 3 years or so as my primary gaming machine and then the last few years for internet surfing. I had no problems with it either even with it being overclocked.
Thnaks to the reliability of this GamePc, I purchased a new 2.4 GHz AM2 AMD rig which will arrive soon. Hopefully, it will last as long as my first one."
"I tried to contact this company a few times. They have an answering machine instead of people answering the phone. They never called back even after I made a couple of phone calls.
Update: I guess the only way to contact them is through email. They replied pretty quick when I emailed them.
I am still waiting on the video card I ordered which has an ETA of 7/28/04."
"I bought a Shuttle small form-factor system with Fedora Core 1 Linux installed. The system was expertly built, and Linux was configured perfectly out of the box. Ordering and shipping were easy and fast. Their support staff was able to answer all of my questions."
"This has been my second dealing with GamePC, and they've constantly amazed me with their fast build and shipping times. Usually, they're have everything built, tested, and shipped within 48 hours of your order. Great selection of parts and reasonable pricing to boot. Highly recommended."
"I ordered and recieved a mother board from GamePC. I had problems with the board from day one, but wanted to make sure it wasn't something I was doing wrong, so I tried differant CPU's and memory from friends machines, but to no avail it was unstable. I even contacted Asus's tech support who told me to RMA the board back to the retailer. When I explained this to GamePC, they said sent it back. So I did. When they got it, they said there was nothing wrong with it, and refused to run the progams I told them made it crash, not only that, they would not call me or give me a number I could call them. They just sent the board back to me against my wishes, and closed my "case". I contacted my credit card company who issued me a refund right away. Now GamePC seems to want to deal with me again, but refuses to pay for the return shipping of their defective board. I have already paid once to ship the board to them, and will not pay again. Once again after many back and forth emails, they will not call me, or give me a number to call them. Their 1-800 number is a joke, they never return the calls. I will never buy from them again, or recommend them to anyone ever!"
"E-mailed sales asking some basic questions about computer cases (aluminum or steel?). Got a useless response. E-mailed again asking for a useful response, got one, ordered product from them, picked it up a few days later. Great e-mail response time (I always got a reply within 20 minutes of sending a message) and very helpful once pushed a little. They are a bit pricey, but I would buy from them again."
