"I had ordered an OEM powercolor 9700pro but they sent me a 9700TX which is clocked at 261/261 default. I drove all the way to east LA to exchange it, and they gave me an OEM ATI 9700TX in return. So incredibly frustrated, i paid the extra for a RETAIL 9700pro and left, never to do business with them again."
"I've had mixed experiences with this company. On one hand, I purchased an MSI Ti4200, received is promptkly, and have been very happy with it. On the other hand, when I went to the section for MSI Nvidia-based video cards and ordered a Ti4400, it turned out that they were actually going to ship me a LeadTek. Since I caught this on the automated invoice, I was able to contact them and cancel the order. Although they did cancel the order, they tried to convince me to take the LeadTek instead, going so far as to try to convince me that it was 'better' (when I had already evaluated the various cards and had chosen MSI as my preferred manufacturer). So, to sum up - some decent bargains, but make certain you are getting what you paid for."
"I was hesitant at first to order from this company. I saw the price of the Abit NF7-S and it was about $15 than any other reseller so I wasn't sure if it was a typo or not. But I took the risk. Good thing too, I got the board when I was expecting to get it, and it was the right board. There was also free shipping, so it was a real bargain. I am happy with my order and hopefully they keep up the good work.
***UPDATE***
I had to exchange my motherboard because the Abit I received was defective. So I requested a RMA number, and it took them three days to e-mail me back with a RMA number. Then I send it back and Fedex says that they received it on a monday. I got no e-mail from them at all so I called them the next monday. They say that they received it on Saturday. I don't know why their service is so slow. I would probably recommend staying away from this company unless they start giving better service. "
"This is an epic tale of woe and dismay: one of many tears and anguish, and the fault lies solely on the wonderful "people" at gameve.com.
My story begins with a deceptively simple purchase of a video card, processor, and THE motherboard. Why do I refer to it as "THE" motherboard, you ask? The pain and suffering it has caused me more than warrants a "THE".
The video card, processor, and motherboard arrived in safe, pristine condition -- however, the motherboard was THE WRONG MODEL! "No prob!" I innocently thought, in naive foolishness, "I will call those beautiful people at gameve.com and get it returned! :)"
However, when inquiring about this order by phone, the truth bit me in the ass like a million rabid pac-men. The rudeness! The unprofessionalism! The emotional callousness! The larceny upon my soul...
But a few days later one of those gameve.com Satans answered an e-mail I had sent a week or so before. Yay! They agreed to do an RMA and to refund any shipping charges I incur sending this motherboard back, under the condition that the mobo I sent back was actually the wrong model. It was, and they shipped my correct motherboard a day or so after receiving the one I sent back.
Not too sad of a tale, you say? Why, if only the tale ended there. Unfortunately, like the labryniths of Hell, it goes on indefinitely.
A month and some odd days after placing my original order, I have not been refunded the money I spent to ship them the first (wrong model) motherboard. Even worse, the new ("correct") motherboard is defective -- the audio out port does not work at all -- and I have having a heckuva time trying to get some customer support from this company. Untelligible sentences such as "so, I do not understand which part that, we do not understand, sir..." do not help at all.
I have sent them a lengthy e-mail today and will update here with any changes in my situation, but until then, I will recommend that you AVOID this 'company' as if it were syphilis."

"Ordered a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro for $330 (including next day delivery + fast processing) and received the card next day as promised.
Very impressed as I tried to by from BuyXtremeGear.com first and after 2 weeks I decided to give up.
I'm glad I did as it was only about $20 more and I got it next day :)"
"Although feedback on the website was minimal, the order was processed and delivered as advertised and on time."
"Got order fast and as ordered with no problems."
"ordered here before with no problem.
The rest of this is dedicated to the person that posted before me. You obviously didn't read the instructions. Geil PC3200 and PC3500 *has* to run at higher voltage than 2.5. Anywhere from 2.6V-3 (read Geil's website). If you try to run it at 2.5V (the DIMM default) it will crash crash crash, usually. Geil makes great stuff no need to keep away from them. Maybe you should learn to read the instruction manuals or hire someone that knows what they are doing to do the work for ya. "
"On October 24th I ordered Geil PC3500 Platinum series ram. It came in a timely manner and was packaged acceptably. I had also received a motherboard from Newegg.com. I was having problems crashing and I thought it was the mobo...so I sent it back to NewEgg.com. They were very good about it and I explained it was the mobo or the ram and more than likely it was the mobo...no questions asked they got me another. There were no restock etc. fees. Get the new mobo and wala...it is the Ram because I also had to order some crucial just to prove it was the Ram since the guy at gameve.com said "How can you be sure it is the ram"...Anyway I got the new ram and found it was the Geil. This is on about the 18th of November...well within the 30 days of purchase! I send an Email stating I tried emailing Geil twice about this and yes my mobo is on the approved Mobo list and they to this day still have not returned one of my 6 emails!!! I get a reply to go online and get an RMA. I couldn't get it done on the site so I called a couple of days later. The gentleman said he would send me an RMA number in my email. He did not! I finally got a hold of someone and they walked me through online RMA and what I was doing wrong. By this time it is about the second of December...outside the thirty days. When they receive the Ram on the 8th of December they don't Email me until the 10th saying it is on backorder. I call up and ask since I have had to do so much monkeying around since you didn't believe it was the ram could you either refund me or let me get something more OR less expensive to replace since he said they would not get nothing in for about a week or so. I got a flat NO and said it is against their policy...spoke to the manager and he called me a liar saying no one would ever take care of this like I wanted which DOES happen at Newegg.com Nutrend.com and Google.com...all very good. I said I would pay or take a refund for either way they wanted to go being more or less expensive product to which he agreed plus a 8percent restock. I said you were aware within a month the product was not right. You didn't issue an RMA I waited and had to monkey around just to get the RMA and now wants to charge restock fee for something I paid for 7 weeks ago and have not got to use. He said I have no choice in the matter and should be happy I am not getting charged the full 15 percent restock fee.
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THESE UNPROFESSIONAL, MANIPULATIVE, DECEPTIVE individuals ever again. I do build a fair amount of computers for guys at work and will never recommend this place.
Many times I have seen Lawrence Lu promise that things are better now at GameVE.com, but I can not see from real world application how this can be true...All of you have been warned...stay away from Geil and GameVE.com
EDIT: I have been contacted by Mr. Lu and he was more than pleasant to deal with! He feels that it could have been a combination of the employees being confused/bad day perhaps. He reiterated their policies and sounded very fair to me. We actually had such a good conversation I ordered a Mobo, Ram, and CPU as kind of an olive branch (peace offering) type thing. I will update after some time to let you know the final result. Mr. Lu again was very pleasant to deal with. Mr. Lu so much wanted to make things right he gave me a good deal on the things that I bought...Lawrence Lu ROCKS!"
"I was a little leary of ordering from these people at first because their reseller rating is low compared to the companies I usually do business with but their price on the A7N8X mobo I ordered was $13 cheaper than Newegg with free shipping so I decided to try them out. There were no problems placing the order and getting confirmation of the order. It took about 36 hours for them to process and ship my order via Airborne, who is not my favorite shipping company, but Airborne did a good job on this order. I received my order today and it was well packed and the mobo box has all the parts that are supposed to come with the A7N8X. I would order in the future from this company if they are significantly cheaper than Newegg and keep the free shipping offer. There were no problems getting the shipping and tracking info from GameVE either as they emailed that info when the order shipped."
"They mailed me a cheaper model of the MSI(microstar) mother board. I originally ordered a MSI 6380E model with 3 memory slots, lan function and some other functions from the website, but they sent me a cheaper one with 2 memory slots and no lan function ! After I got the reciept from the website the first day, it was "msi 6380E ultra 2", but the written reciept mailed to me was "ultra 2-c (6593)" ! I guessed I saw a wrong one in the site or maybe I ordered a wrong one. But when I got back to the website to check. It was really 6380E there. I WAS NOT WRONG ! THEY ARE WRONG ! THEY RESPOSNIBLE TO UPDATE THE WEBSITE TO PROVIDE CORRECT INFORMATION ! You may ask me why I don't send the board back to the company and exchange for another. You know, at first you need to pay the postage for the mailing back, and also you will be charged about for 6 dollars for their postage(or free shipping deduction). These are total of about 10 dollars, and these extra total of 10 dollars will be added to my total cost... GEEEEEEEEE"
"Excellent Company. intially i was skeptical about the company since they had The cheapest price for a Geforce4 Ti4200. however, the website looked impressive and profesional so i went ahead and placed the order with them.
Two days since hte order i still didnt get a mail confirming the shipping so i emailed their support address about it. the website wasnt updated either. But much to my suprise, the next morning, i recieved the card at my place in perfect condition. I would definitely buy from them again."
"I ordered a GeForce 4 TI 4200 from them the evening 2 days before Thanksgiving. I expected some delay in my order because of when I had placed it(being so close to a holiday). Well, I didnt receive a shipping status message from them until Monday December 2nd and just to see where my package was I checked the tracking. To my suprise it was already in town and on the truck to be delivered.
True to their reputation, their packing isnt anything super(product box in a FedEx box) but I know for a fact that this is exactly how everyone receives it from their distributors so I had no worries. The card works like a charm.
As long as the prices stay competetive I would definatly do buisness with them again."
"In All Fairness feel free to do busniess with the company but beware"
