"I purchased a key from GamersOutlet (I've used these guys a ton in the past). When I went to activate the key it stated that it was already in use. I sent an EMail and received a response almost immediately asking for more information. I sent the additional information requested and less than 5 minutes later had a new key and issue resolved. "I bought a Windows 11 Pro key from Gamers Outlet. I am running Windows 11 Home edition. I am completely up to date on my OS. They sent me instructions on how to upgrade:
1. Disconnect from internet.
2. Go into settings and change activation key. Enter generic Windows 11 Pro key - VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T (this is a known key).
3. Follow the prompts, staying disconnected from the internet (it's supposed to install Pro files at this point, but doesn't).
4. Reboot PC
5. Reconnect to internet
6. Go into settings to enter new purchased Pro activation key.
It does not update with any Pro files at step 3, so when I reboot, my system still shows Windows 11 Home with the same activation status I had before attempting the upgrade, so I cannot supply a new activation key. I try anyway, because why not? Of course, it doesn't work.
I had an email chain with Gamers Outlet, explaining every step that I did, that I followed their instructions to the letter. Each time I responded, I got a new person offering to help me. They asked me for screen shots of the error messages, which I provided. With each response of mine, I got a new person. Frustrated beyond belief, I went through the steps yet again, probably for the 7th time, and this time I took screen shots of my progress at each every step and sent them the images (no, I did not allow any personal information they did not already have). The last two "geniuses" that helped me merely provided me with the instructions I first received on how to upgrade. At no time did anyone that helped me indicate in the slightest that they were reading the email chain, to see that I was doing exactly what they told me to do. The last person who responded to me, as I said, just gave me the same instructions I was given to begin with, with no acknowledgement of my message that included all the screen shots proving to them that I was doing everything precisely as instructed.
Either they are completely incompetent, or at that point, sensing my frustration, they decided to play stupid and trigger me so that they could get their laughs in for the day. Regardless, it was absolutely the worst, most inept, unhelpful customer service I have ever received. It was only a $5 purchase. If they had made an earnest effort to help me, I would have a totally different attitude, but nothing in their interaction with me indicated that anyone was actually interested in solving my problem.
I have no doubt that the activation key is legitimate. The issue is that I cannot get my computer to the point of being able to use it.
Do not trust this website under any circumstances. If you have a problem with their product, you are on your own to solve it."

I asked Gamers Outlet for assistance and was given instructions on how to first upgrade Home to Pro with a temporary key. The response came within 10 minutes of contacting them. The computer ran a few updates and rebooted a couple of times. Thereafter Windows indicated Pro in the about section and was asking for a new key. I inserted the key that I purchased from Gamers Outlet and it worked perfectly. I paid C$6.22 + C$0.71 transaction fee. This is completely fair in my opinion. This is also my very first time purchasing from Gamers Outlet and the positive reviews that I read online are spot on. "
