"I returned an item and failed to put my return slip in there, but used the UPS slip. Because I can't find my UPS slip they are refusing to give me credit. When the item was received they should be able to tell who the customer is by the UPS slip. When I inquired via email thinking it would be simple they customer service reps were clueless and didn't even try to help."

Since this was a tool made by them and with the free trade agreement in place making such a purchase should have no import fees (or so I thought). Actually there were no export/import fees but the UPS shipper that I thought had been paid added a surcharge for doing paperwork! And they did it after they already had my purchase in their hands. It seemed like they were holding my tool hostage.The added charged amounted to over 40 dollars Canadian. Watch out for those UPS fees."
"I've ordered 4 items from this company this past year. Everyone of them has been backordered. Now I got a notice that they're FINALLY processing the other half of my recent order (which is over a month ago) and my credit card was rejected. It's the same card they processed the original order with and there's nothing wrong with my card. I just used it online twice this morning. I cancelled this final item and will not order from them again. Totally incompetent."

Garrett Wade Company has a suede leather child's work apron I just bought and I know she'll love it and pass it on to her child when the time comes. "Last purchase from GarrettWade was in 2011, purchased a super heavy-duty shovel and thought we better buy another to have on hand in the future if for some reason something happens to the old one. WAS DELIGHTED to find GarrettWade is still in business and the product is still available!! So we purchased that and another garden item and amazingly, even in the midst of a pandemic, everything arrived in a super timely manner and was exactly as the prior item purchased years ago-!!
Several of our other gardening items have recently failed after many years of hard service and we have been met with great disappointment to find the Companies are OUT OF BUSINESS and those awesome products are gone and only cheap China crap is available-! "Nothing is good or correct when you deal with Garrett-Wade company. Avid it in the first place.
First all, the deal they offer me was 2 for the price of 1. I only receive 1 item. Honestly I could catch it , cause the e-mailed receipt show only one item. I assumed falsely they were honest.
Shipping: They charge over $ 12.00 for small, 2 once package. They tax the shipping cost , although they shouldn’t ? Only companies located in the state of Illinois charges tax on shipping in the USA.
These guys are a rip off from the start to the end. Avoid them.

"I ordered a couple of their impact drivers and they took over a month to arrive. Apparently, they were back-ordered, but no one bothered to communicate that to me. I reached out to customer support and requested a refund of my shipping because it took so long and they said there was nothing they could do. The products themselves are cheap feelings and I'll be surprised if they last a year. I won't be ordering anything from GW again."
"I placed an order in January 2019 using gift certificates to pay for the merchandise and gave GW my credit card number to pay for the balance of $17.60.
GW sent me an email receipt confirming that my MasterCard would be charged $17.60.
My credit card statement came and showed that GW had charged me $52.70 instead of $17.60.
Their management team is 'researching', but haven't refunded the $35.10 difference. I will probably have to get my credit card company involved, because every time I communicate with one of their customer service representatives I feel less and less sure they'll actually be honest and correct their mistake. GW should never be trusted with your credit card number. If you have to buy from them, send a check."
