"My past and ongoing experience with merchant was over some "alkaline" batteries they were selling at $6.99 for 48 pieces of AA or AAA supposed alkaline batteries, I bought 1 set of each and when they arrived, they were in fact Super Heavy Duty batteries, in other words a completely different chemical make-up to true alkaline batteries. These batteries {Heavy Duty} function well in clocks and remotes but do not even power up in some electrical devices, digital cameras for example. I proved this by personal experimentation with not one but three different cameras. I just thought they made a mistake and sent me Heavy Duty batteries instead of the advertised alkalines, so I emailed them and several days later they replied that they were in fact alkaline as told to them by the manufacturer. {Batteries are labeled "Great Value"), in addition they said I could return them at my expense if I sought a RMA authorization. I then replied to them that these were definitely not alkaline and explained the chemical structure difference as I had obtained from Wikipedia. in addition I asked them to provide me with a contact point on the manufacturer level because they said they had spoken to a representative of theirs and I wanted confirmation, maybe the manufacturer had manufactured alkaline's but erroneously labeled them Super Heavy Duty, those mistakes happen. I have since sent them an additional two more emails seeking clarification on this issue and besides the one initial reply to my complaint have received no further communication from them. I have held off writing any reviews either for the product or the supplying vendor to this point, but I can no longer, hence this review which I will duplicate to them if they seek a review of their performance. I will be taking this issue further as they continue to advertise these batteries quite prominently and I am sure I am not the only dissatisfied customer on this obvious scam to unload inferior products on an unsuspecting public."
