"Prior to purchase, I contacted Gempler's via Live Chat with a phone call follow-up to verify some things about their service as well as the product I wanted to purchase. I was a little hesitant to order from them because of the many bad online reviews. Customer service was very nice on both accounts. However, they told me two things that were incorrect. First, they told me that the product I wanted didn't contain something that I was looking for. Supposedly, they went back to the warehouse to verify this while I was on hold. However, the product did contain the part I wanted for the product so I'm glad I didn't make another order elsewhere for that particular part. Second, they told me that my order would ship out the day that I ordered, and it would be with FedEx so that I would receive my order in just a couple of days. However, my order didn't ship for a week. This was disappointing as I like to support honest companies for future business. This company could have just told me the truth. Lying doesn't help the company's reputation. After the silly lies they told, I think this company drop ships their products just because it's obvious (1) they didn't go to the warehouse to check the product and (2) they didn't FedEx the same day I purchased. I would have even been fine with that, but it's disappointing to catch the lies. "
"Bought a tank sprayer online thru them as a 3rd party on Amazon. The photos they used showed it on an Atv appearing similar to mine. Once I received it I realized it was way larger than I thought. I initiated a return and then discovered I was going to have to pay the return shipping (very expensive). I called Gemplers and their customer service is worthless to say the least. I learned a couple of expensive lessons one of them being never shop at Gemplers again! Buyer BEWARE!!"
"I ordered a sprayer pump online. Got a confirmation that day and a shipping notice the next.
I got a call from customer service telling me that fed ex wouldn't ship it to my Po box. I told them that I won't use fed ex because they ran my wife off the road. I advised that if there wasn't another shipping option I'd go elsewhere. The lady said she could mail it economy n it would be here in 5-6 days.
Today was day 5 and I didn't have any confirmation email. So I called before going to the Po box. I was told that parts were out of stock and I definitely wouldn't be getting part by day six as promised. Also didn't know when part would be back in stock. I cancelled order.
If I knew I'd be treated this way I would have gotten a new sprayer at Lowe's first of the week. My work would be done and I wouldn't have so much extra to do this weekend."

Leaving for a trip and I made a shipping error where the package would arrive after I left. I made a call to customer service and they went above and beyond what they had to do to get me the raingear I needed in time for my trip. I will be spreading the word and using Grempler's in the future!

"I made an order on 27 March 2017 and got an order confirmation email. In a week after that when I called their customer service I was told that my order was canceled. I have never received any notifications from them regarding this cancelation."
"I ordered some replacement parts for a pruner through Gemplers recently. The prices seemed good and other online reviews for them were almost uniformly excellent. I carefully ordered the parts I needed, directly copying the numbers on a Gemplers-supplied parts diagram, that was linked to with a title that was exactly my pruner's size.
But when the parts arrived (pretty quickly and well-packed), they were the wrong size - for a shorter model instead. I thought it would be no problem to have Gempler's send me the right ones, and expected that would be a simple free exchange (I would even have been OK paying for return shipping for the wrong parts, even though their own website was the source of the error). But...nope. No way. Gempler's customer service admitted that "yes, looking at the website, we can see why you would have thought you were ordering the right parts". But they then shifted blame to the manufacturer ('It's just their generic parts list"), and then blamed me (!) for not calling them on the phone before I ordered - as if picking up the telephone is what everyone does when they buy something online.
Their only offer was to "allow" me to return the wrong parts, then buy the right ones from them at full retail - and pay full 100% shipping both directions. Of course, I could've done all that *anyways* by just sending the parts back with their standard return form and placing a new order, without even contacting them . So basically offering nothing at all that I couldn't have already done. Understand, I wasn't looking for the sun moon and stars - I just wanted to get right parts, but thought it wasn't right to be asked to pay for shipping three times (which was way, way more $ than the cost of the parts themselves!), because of a website error. Nope - total Gempler's stonewall. ("That's not our policy and we cannot change it".)
I might be old-fashioned, but this isn't the kind of customer service I expect from a store - even if they hadn't been at fault, but _especially_ when they were. There are other retailers online that I will choose from in the future, rather than Gemplers, But hoping if you do order from them, you have a better experience than I did."

"I recently ordered a chainsaw safety helmet from Gemplers. There was a defect in the product, so I called their customer service the day after I got it. I feel they completey took care of me, and I it didnt take more than two minutes of my time on the phone with them. Not only did my customer service representative seem to be concerned about keeping me as a satisfied customer, I actually got someone on the line that spoke good english!!! With this kind of customer service, they will most definately get alot more of my business!"

"I ordered a lawn roller from this store on Monday. Didn't hear from them for two days. I called and the lady was really nice, friendly even. She looked it up and said the order had just shipped. She said I would get a confirmation and a tracking number which I did the next day. The same day it arrived. I just wish these stores would email you info on when to expect a package in a more timely manner.
But all in all buying from Gempler's was a real pleasure. She even wished me a great day! A couple days later, I received the invoice by snail mail. Would I order from them again? Definitely."
