"Im glad I saw this web page before I went to spend my hard earnd cash at a place like Genesis Camera thats sounds like it's ran by a bunch of crooks and scam artist. It's good to know there is other people out there that are helping other consumers from running into the same problems as they have just from something as simple as taking time to write a review. Genesis Camera is one of those places that could use some secret shoppers that work for date line. Call up a news channel/paper some investigative reporting can go a long way.

"I purchased a S1 camera for the price of $2000, I rcvd the product and within 3 wks it failed to work. When I called the store I was told I had purchased an overseas model which they would have to send back to the far east... It is now almost a year, no camera.. no refund.. and impossible to contact! I have filed reports with BBB, that does not help as they tell me the company is no longer... yet they now operate as Genisis .. formely 645AF.com.

"I wanted to purchase a Nikon D-70 camera body as packaged and contents listed on the Nikon and other vendors web sites. Nikon list the body only packaged with all necessary items, battery, battery charger, etc but not the flash card. This vendor told me that the body only did not include the battery, battery charger, etc. I ask what do you do take the items that come with it from the factory out of the box and sell them as accessories. The response I got was the camera does not come with the battery or battery charger only the camera body. I declined to purchase from them. I had purchased online and was sent an email to verify by calling them. I called them thinking they just wanted to sell me other accessories. I am glad I called and found out what they were going to send. I canceled the order. I consider when a vendor list a product as they did then that product is packaged as the Manufacture list it and what its packaged contents are, anything other I consider false advertising. Check what you are getting before you buy."
"I had horrible luck with this company. They promised me a ship date for a digital camera that I purchased and did not meet it. I called about once every other day to get a status of the order, and every time I called, they gave me the runaround. I then received a Customer Satisfaction Survey from them and gave them a bad rating. The Customer Service manager called me the next day and chewed me out for giving him a bad rating. I did finally receive the camera."

"This is the worst thing I have ever experienced. These f.... liars owe me more than $7000, I have ordered 11 Olympus C5050Z digicams, 3 Palm Tungsten T and 1 Palm 515. The only thing I have ever recieved was 3 Olympus Digicams, they have kept the rest and my money. Now I am pressing charges aginst the liars, for fraud on the internet. "Horrible people -- I specified and question as to the origin of the D100 I bought -- I did not want a grey market camera -- theye swore it was not and would not be. yet when I tried to updata the software "NIkon View" which requires a serial number- the Nikon web site would not let me, and I tried to call the Genesis Camera people and the 800 number would not work.

"I ordered a sony Digital CD cameria on July 17th and was told it would be sent in 3 days before I went on vacation. They charged my credit card 975 $the same day. It is now August 8. My vacation is over without digital photos and I still do not have a camera. No phone numbers are working. I contacted my credit card company and a fraud investigation is being instigated.

"Ordered Canon A70 on 7/21. Was told on 7/25 that they had received "a bunch" of defective A70s and that new shipment would be received Monday 7/27 and priority shipping for my inconvience. Phones not working, no response from Email querys and of course my card was charged in 24 hours and I cannot cancel order to go elsewhere."

Ordered an "in stock" camera via their "DigiOnix" site. Called 5 days later, and found it was *not* in stock. They tried to string me along with "oh.... I think those are coming in tomorrow" lie. I cancelled. At least they refunded my credit card, which they had charged right away. Basically, they lied to me twice. Stay away! "
"I placed an order on Friday May 16. I was billed a day later. Almost a week later the product was not shipped and I had already been lied to at least three times I cancelled the order. Amazingly - not - almost three weeks later they still have not taken the bill off my credit card. One day to bill the card and three weeks and counting to take the charge off. This is a company that no one should deal with."
