I just got these to do some 3/0 wires of my RV. The first cut was to cut an old lug off. The old 3/0 wire looked swollen and did not even want to go into the cutter although the cutter is made for 4/0 wire. Cutting was kinda hard and after that cut it was clear why. The swelling of the wire was caused by oxidation so I had just cut through tough copper salt. I was a bit worried that I might have dulled the cutters. I then cut a new 3/0 wire and this was like cutting butter with a hot knife. No problem, nice clean cut. "

"I purchased TEMCo's Hammer Lug Crimping tool through Amazon. This a perfect crimper for a DIY'er. The other options seem built for a more professional environment. I just needed something for out in the garage to crimp a few power cables for accessories on my truck and camper. I've already used it a few times and found it very easy to use and very well-built. The tool is a welcome addition to the tool box for sure. If you needs are like mine, I can't recommend it enough.
