Several negative things...

"Several negative things about this company. I do not recommend at all. I ordered a gift card for my nieces bday and I accidentally put my address for both payment and mailing. No way to change this on website, which is not current for technology now, and so I called immediately after I ordered, and they said there is no way they can change this.
Really? That makes no sense that really should not be hard to do unless the product has already went out of course. I will never use them again. Also, deceiving that it is not Visa itself since that is what I googled and the ordering process is not intuitive or s clear as it should be. Not up to par to most online companies.

"Impossible to redeem these on their website, and the phone number only gets you to a recording that gives you the balance and no customer service to help assist in redemption of these. Avoid this scam and the bank that operates backing this bogus gift card site."

Unauthorized charge

"I purchased 2 gift cards with PayPal but was giftcards.com also charged my bank account the same amount. So I was charged double. Giftcard.com won't release my money back to me as of yet. I have bought from them a few times with no problems until now. I am posting this review on every review site I can until they release my money that the never should have taken in the first place. "

Deeply Dissatisfied with Customer Experience

"We have been a loyal customer of Giftcards.com for over 5 years. We spend thousands and thousands of dollars year after year with them. We use the gift cards for our customers and employees. Very rarely do we have any issues. Recently a customer of ours thought he lost his gift card, he then found it but noticed it had expired. He was very upset. I asked if giftcards.com would please cancel and then reissue a new card since it was never used and it's very rare we have requested something like this. We understood there would be a processing fee. Then today I received an email stating that my case request was denied. I am asking them to reconsider and reissue the unused gift card we purchased."

"have purchased a card but cannot redeem online. called their help #, but only option is to check balance or check purchases. The back of card shows a 19 digit #, but online check only allows for 16 digits...waste of time and $$... "

Corrupt. Stay Away!

"I purchased a gift card but the recipient was unable to accept it. When I tried to log in to giftcards.com seeking a refund, I was blocked, claiming incorrect credentials. Wrong! I tried the password reset option 3 times but never received an email... using the same email they had no trouble reaching right after my purchase! I can only hope the bank will return the favor and bail me out."

WILL NOT SHIP YOUR ORDER

"This company is absolutely a joke. I'm placing a review on any website i possibly can, people deserve to know they can't count on this company with their order ESPECIALLY NOT during the holiday season. I've been told by their website due to covid everything could take longer to process which i just think is ridiculous to begin with, this pandemic is worldwide but it is not a new thing. It has been going on for a while now and will be going on for a while afterwards. There are billions of online and offline companies that have been able to adjust their practices as needed but they still handle customers orders with care within a timely manner. I got something off of etsy the other day and it got here in 4 days. And that wasn't even from a business like this that's just shipping out from someone's home! Giftcards.com also wanted to give me an excuse that due to a high volume of orders from a promotion they were doing, it could take longer. Which one is it? They just find any excuse under the book to not ship your order out. If you can't handle a high volume of orders then why are you doing a promotion?! None of it makes sense. My order was placed on December 8th for over $300 worth of physical gift cards. My order has said "processed" NOT "processing" for about FOUR whole days now. I've contacted support and was even informed that "my order is complete and processed and i'll be notified when it ships out." THEN WHY IS IT JUST SITTING THERE. For four days? If the order is complete then ship. It. Out. It's a very simple concept. The customer service is a joke as well, the most they can do for you is track your package and give you basic information that you already knew. They have no one to transfer you to, no one to ask questions, they have NO information about your order or why it hasn't shipped or anything. However the only solution they offered me was that I could refund my order and place one for e-gift cards in order to be able to get them instantly. That's not what I wanted, I wanted physical gift cards or I wouldn't have placed the order for it. They are playing around with my $300 and it's not cool. Odds are i'll cancel and order egift cards from another place so i don't have to give these people my business ever again considering now it's too late for me to get physical ones delivered. We were supposed to play the saran wrap ball game, this has actually completely ruined our christmas. PLEASE IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT IT, DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE. GET YOUR CARDS FROM A WEBSITE THAT WILL ACTUALLY SHIP OUT YOUR ORDER."

Fraudulent company. Don't waste your money!

"I purchased a $500 gift card for my dad's birthday. Card cannot be activated as it is not in their system. I sent numerous messages to the company and wrote on their social media. All without a response! Phone system will only put you through to a live person if you have a valid card, so I couldn't even reach anyone. They stole $500 from me and ruined my father's gift! Complete scam!"

"I thought that all gift cards adhered to Federal Law by not having an expiration date. My mistake. Giftcards.com has found a great loophole! Glad I spent $2,215 that I'll never see again!

STAGGERING INCOMPETENCE; CARELESS DISREGARD FOR REPUTABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES

"I have been trying to activate a $200 gift card that expires in 2021. After excruciating painstaking efforts, I am informed that my card is invalid due to inactivity and that money has been given to the state. I am to file a claim with the government to get money out of my card.

• Reaching customer service by phone is impossible because my card is “invalid” and the automated answering machine hangs up on me for that reason.
• The live chat service defers me and says someone will call me.
• I resort to emails and have exchanged 30 (yes, THIRTY!) emails with them.
o Many of their emails state that they have tried calling me: but got no answer, yet my phone shows no record of their calls.
o Their numerous robotic emails 1) state that more information is required, but they fail to say what information is needed. 2) state that they did not receive a response to their message, although I have promptly replied to all of them.
o Although my name, email, and other information remains the same, they have assigned me not one, not two, but THREE different case numbers.
o My requests for information in contacting a supervisor is completely ignored.

The staggering incompetence of this company is impressive and their blatant disregard for standard, honorable business practices is astounding. I am utterly amazed that this company is in business at all. And to those at Giftcards.com? Message received: You are in the business of plundering gift cards and the joke is on those of us who buy and receive them! Ha Ha.

"I accidentally deleted my email before activating my card and they conveniently can’t find the order even tho I gave them all the information. Beware you may lose your money. Find another way to gift your recipient."
