"If you have a problem with your order then you are out of luck. The company has zero customer service. Amazon, Walmart and many other stores sell Visa Gift Cards, just buy one from them."
"GiftCards.com is good, but https://berrycards2019.weebly.com/ is the better service for Gift Cards."
"I ordered 50 custom company cards in November 2017. In November 2018 I had 10 giftcards left, but was told they are expired and only had a 1 year validation period, but I didn't know that I wouldn't be able to get a refund for the remaining balance of my money which was $160 because the cards value were $20 a piece. I called the company and was given some lame excuse about I should've known better. This is horrible, basically they stole $160 of my company money. They were not just satisfied with my company paying them over $300 to have 50 company giftcards made, they decided to steal my companies money. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I will keep you informed. 01/04/19"
"Its so bad it cannot even be real it must be a scam site deisgned to steal credit cards numebr and personal data .... you will never get anythign you buy ... beware "
"System is designed to steal you money. We received an electronic/emailed gift card that is solely to be used for online purposes. We were told we did not need to activate it, yet I could not use it until I called to have it activated. After trying to use it and failing multiple more times due to lack of address,I called again. There was an address on the account which was neither mine or the person who purchased the card but they are not permitted tell me what the address is. After having to guess the information linked to the card, I still could not make the purchase I had been working on for several days. Another call revealed that I cannot simply list the card as a form of payment but have to use exactly the amount on it. Due to the credit card version of the gift, we are unable to use it as a gift card. Uploading GIFT CARDS for online purchases will ping back a prompt to pay the remainder. Using a CREDIT CARD for purchases greater than credit card balance will ping back a credit card denial. In this way, you will never really be able to use the entire amount on the card and must make smaller and smaller purchases."
"Twice in the last month I've tried to purchase egift cards for my family. Each time I tried to pay with an American Express Card (an option offered on the site) and each time it was rejected. However, each time I was charged $1.00.
This seems like a scam. I can't believe Visa or MasterCard would allow this service to represent them.
DO NOT PATRONIZE!!"
"This gift card was given to me in the amount of $100. Over the course of several weeks, I made several purchases from a craft store of flowers for my niece's wedding. My niece changed her design idea a couple of different times so I had to return items/ repurchase/ return all. During the original purchase, I had to use my own credit card. The store allowed refund on only one card. Believing the bulk of the expense to be on this gift card, I had the returns refunded to it. The giftcards.com company blocked the use of the card because of the amount refunded discrepancy with original purchase amount. I found this out by being publicly embarrassed - twice. Twice because, I submitted all receipts to the customerdocs@bhnetwork, waited a couple of weeks, then tried to use it again only to be publicly embarrassed AGAIN. It has now been nearly 3 MONTHS and I still do not have access to MY money."
"Twice, I tried to order a card through this poor excuse for a company. The first time, it canceled my transaction immediately. Claimed it was a billing address error. Funny, it's the same address that works perfectly well with every place I've patronized...no issues.
The second time, it took the better part of the day before a cancellation notice came through. That nearly cost me getting a birthday gift to my son. Thank God for Amazon! That's where I ended up purchasing my gift card and guess what? No issues with my card going through at all!! GiftCards is useless and poorly run. Avoid it!!!"
"Site promises your gift card will ship next day. So far it's been 7 days. I contacted customer care. The rep emailed me back and said the gift card would be arriving in another 10 days. He could not provide a tracking number. I'm just confused. Did the gift card ship internationally? Next time I'm sending an ecard that will arrive instantly. "
"I tried 5 times to order a Virtual Visa card. Each time the transaction was cancelled, even using different cards. The reason was something was different than the statement. I took the information RIGHT off the statement. Very frustrating. I even called customer service and they wouldn't give any information why they were cancelled. Very frustrating."
"Very happy with the service provided by Heather! I purchased 4 $100 Macaroni Grill gift cards on Saturday then used it that same day for my parents 50th Anniversary. I printed the e-gift cards that was emailed to me and took them to Macaroni Grill. Everything went smoothly. Thank you giftcards.com. Saved me $133 and my family was super happy with the dinner."
"Macys. petshop, Walmart said it didn't work, machine doesn't take it. Only Boscov said ok.
Update:
Update: Customer service got back to me right away so changed 1 star to 3 stars. If you buy something and cost is more than the card value the cashier must input the card for the amount on the card. So you got $25 on the card and you try to buy something for $172, the cashier has to know the value on the card and enter $25 for the card and you pay rest in other way. Some places like Boscov don't have a problem but for stores who do the cashier/manager has to enter it this way for it to work. Still its a little bit of a PITA."
"I ordered a virtual gift card for Mother's Day on 8 May. After hitting submit, my credit card was immediately charged but the virtual card was not delivered to my recipient's email. I thought that was a little odd because most virtual cards are delivered immediately, but decided to give it 24 hours before taking further action. The next evening I contacted GiftCards.com via telephone and got a call center. The guy on the line that did not speak very good English explained that the card would be delivered within the next hour because my information was being verified by a third party. I asked to explain what information needed verification and if I could speak with the third party to find out what was taking so long to deliver the virtual card. After many frustrating minutes of back and forth, I asked to speak to a supervisor but he wouldn't provide the supervisor's name that I was going to speak with. Finally after being placed on hold for approximately 20 minutes, another individual that barely spoke English explained he was the supervisor and verified that a third party was reviewing the information, but couldn't explain what they needed to verify. He promised the card would be delivered within the next hour or he would submit a "request" to have the $4.95 service fee for the purchase refunded. On 10 May, I again contacted GiftCards.com and reached another person that could barely speak English who again explained my information is being verified by a third party before the card that I paid for two days ago could be delivered. He said that I have two options, continue to wait and said that he thought the card would be delivered by the end of the day or to cancel my order. Again, I asked to speak with a supervisor but was placed on hold so long that I finally gave up. As of now, my virtual Visa card has still not been delivered, the refund of the service charge was never credited, and I still wait. I am afraid to cancel the order because of the customer experience experienced so far, I think that when I do, the charge will never be returned and I would be out the amount I have spent."
"I ordered several cards to hand out as rewards at our company.
When I ordered them I read the FAQ about expiration dates and saw they would replace gift card when it expires. When I tried to get some cards replaced I was told to read the fine print further down. The "reward" cards are different even, no refund for those. Turns out the cards I ordered were reward cards and not giftcards, although VISA has refunded Giftcards.com they will in turn not refund me and just referred me to their deceiving terms and conditions.
I'll be getting my gift cards somewhere else going forward where the rules are clear and they don't rip customers off with confusing terms. "
"Sad to share a terrible experience. I ordered a large gift card for a friend on there wedding for a future getaway. It never showed up. There were a number of "I'm sorry's," but no action. I missed the wedding despite ordering it 3 weeks early and picking the expedited shipping. I was the best man in the wedding and was hoping to offer a very unique gift package. Further, I went to Efrain and he told me that he would have the order resent on the quickest shipping method, only to have him call back later and tell me there was nothing they could do. Buyer beware. "
