"I'm not usually the type of person to write reviews after a successful service but i feel as i need to share my experience due to the amount of negative reviews this company has. It was my fiance birthday on the 14th of may. I decided to surprise her with a gift, we live apart i am from australia and she is in romania. I discovered giftnideas after a google search of sending gifts overseas. They were slightly overpriced, way too expensive but still. any man is willing to pay the price as long as it makes the special one happy.
as i was on checkout i thought it was suspicious we can't pay via paypal, even when i was purchasing it. my bank sent a confirmation text if i want to send this amount to this seller (lowkey thought it was suspicious). It never did that before when i do other online shopping or online purchases. when i made a successful payment i decided to check the reviews of this company, after reading and reading my heart just sank. I was scared, nervous, anxious. I decided to contact the live chat support for reassurance instead it led to making me feel worse. They were not answering my questions via chat. I asked them 3 times "will my gift be delivered to the given address" followed by an order number. The agent simply replied "answer your call" like 3 times.
i got a call from some international number and i answered, She said my order will not be processed until i verify a few things which was last 4 digits of my credit card number, The name of the receiver and my name. I thought it was really suspicious cause firstly the agent did not answer any of my questions via chat (maybe they didn't want any evidence against them??).
i was annoyed cause usually when the order is processed, it should be sufficient for them to carry out the service. not tell me i need to verify myself. and they didn't have the courtesy to ring me, i rang them at first for reassurance reasons. also not to sound racist or stereotypical the agent was indian so i felt i was being scammed (I had a bad experience with indian scammers). I was reading countless reviews hoping for a positive one so i feel slightly better about my situation. I didn't wanna ask for a refund cause i didn't want to act rash without evidence and i have thought about cancelling my order and ask for refund before the scheduled date for the gift to arrive many times.
Every single day, since i put the order which was 11th of may and scheduled for 14th of may. i kept contacting their live support chat team. Their live support team ****. they kept replying slow and kept repeating things like they write whatever they are scripted to say. it felt more like i was talking to a robot, not a human. Even though this was meant to be a surprise, i was feeling nervous and feeling like i was being scammed i told my fiance about it that she should be receiving a gift and if she doesn't receive it on the day please let me know,I was a bit disappointed about telling her cause it was meant to be a surprise but due to the company negative reviews i had to break it to her. i explained her the situation and she suggested we should take legal actions if its not delivered and not refunded but i'm not opening a case over $100. i'd just rather not buy from them again and not deal with all that drama.
On the 14th of may, I kept asking her every hour if she received it but she received a call from the delivery company that it will come at around 5pm. At that point i started to see the light at the end of the tunnel and i was feeling slightly better. In conclusion she has received the gift on the scheduled date and it was exactly as on the picture. even though the surprise was ruined she was still happy with it.
For the new customers that purchased from this company i'm sure you are here to read about other peoples experiences. This is my experience.

"Ordered cake for husband birthday 2 days in advance, didnt arrive on the day. Numerous calls - the 02) number for Australia isnt even connected, emails and live chat. Was told it would get there. Only got there next day. I guess considering other's experience at least it arrived. Asked to speak to manager numerous times - phone call got cut off and then they never answered my return calls.
Poor courier didnt have a clue either - i bet they bear the brunt for this unprofessional company."
"Ordered a gift basket for a last working day of a colleague, 2 working days in advance. Received the e-mail confirmation, all looked good. Got a weird phone call at midnight the day before delivery, someone asking my full credit card details (which of course I didn't provide), whilst the gift was fully provide. The individual didn't identify them as being from this company, and was very rude. Eventually I understood they attempted to verify the delivery (which was already fully confirmed online, and paid).
Day of delivery, item did not arrive. Phone numbers of CS don't work. When I contacted through live chat I was told "the order is on it's way, and will be delivered soon" .By 6 PM, still no delivery, and contacted again via live chat, and was told "it will not be delivered today, maybe tomorrow".
Of course outraged, and I demanded a refund. The live chat employee told me this would be processed within a week. almost 3 weeks further now, still no refund. Every time I contact them, they come up with another excuse, and tell me the refund will take another week or so.
Have of course cancelled the transaction with my credit card company as well. However did want to share my experience, as nobody should use this company, it's an obvious scam.
Anyone that is scammed by these people, please file a complaint with BBB (consumer council) in Texas - https://dallas.app.bbb.org/, and through the online scam reporting platform https://www.econsumer.gov/en. You don't have to be from the US to complain, the company's head office is in the US, therefore the complaint will be reviewed by BBB. If multiple complaints come in, both econsumer and BBB can determine if they are indeed malpracticing, and would be able to file criminal charges against this scamming company."
"Ordered a $100 gift basket for my family over seas, card went through, I got a confirmation number and then the following day received an email asking for the front picture of my ID card as well as my credit card to "verify who I was". Of course I did NOT do this and immediately tarted a chat on their website with someone. They assured me it was okay and not to worry and that they would note my complaint. I expected my basket would arrive to my family Christmas Eve as I requested and paid for....today, day after Christmas, I get an email saying "Dear Customer,

Immediately demanded a refund, Bank could not refund it, customer service of giftsnideas chatted with me twice for over 30 min. Very unprofessional, no refund, stated their policies. These state a total different procedure as actually exercised. Terrible experience and a total scam. Instead of ice-cream cake, flower bouquet and quality chocolates for USD 150 !! you get cheap cake, flowers from the street vendor and Bulgarian chocolates! Stole USD 150.00!"

"I can't say for sure that these folks are scammers, but I can tell you that I was lied to and that their service is extremely unprofessional. All the emails from them go directly to your spam folder - which I only discovered once I contacted them via online chat. I placed an order for 2 items to the same person - one item was never delivered and the recipient was never contacted. I was told her number didn't work, which was total BS because the deliverer of the other item did contact my daughter. However, rather than delivering that item, they gave her the address to pick it up. So, instead of a nice surprise delivery of a gift, my daughter had to take the metro across town to pick up her own birthday cake. And, I was charged an exorbitant amount for an item that they never even tried to deliver. Stay away! Don't trust them.
