"Terrible customer service and it smells to high heaven. There are strange open jars with something squishy and stinky in them scattered around the store. I wasn't sure if I was in a Korean religious store or a computer store. They also quoted me $98 more than list price for a laptop video card. I will shop elsewhere."
"I buy plenty from them in the past and its mostly low quality, junk stuff.
Avoid them at all cost, these are a bunch of taiwanese selling mostly made in China product.
They can't speak english too well and the engrish grammar is just as bad as those are in India. I know there are a bunch of morons that live locally their that rather spend a little more buying from them for convenient reason, but what so convenient about driving 20-30min to get there???
These people are just idiots. They obviously are computer illiterate and know next to nothing about hardware issue... The reason why ginstar continue to profit! anyway I digress, screw them.
Ever since I buy from the internet, discount reseller right? My life has changed completely which made me realize how bad ginstar really is!
They ginstar only sell what they want to sell to you! not what you want to buy.
They have been in business for a long time since the 90, previous name was computer genius and they have operated under the new name ginstar just recently for the last 4 or 5 years.
This company is a major rip off, if you have money to blow plz blow it somewhere else.
If you think Best Buy is great well, god help ya because you are a fool to keep buying overpriced junk pc component."
"I use Ginstar's Marietta location. I usually buy parts and upgrade my own system. This time I decided to build one. I found the staff to be knowledgable, helpfull and friendly. Their prices are always the lowest I can find. I will continue to purchase from Ginstar. "
"Well, they did it again. >:/
I was in a rush, and had to grab some stuff for a LAN party, so I "pop" in Ginstar, only to have to wait in line forever, and when I said I wanted a Radeon 9700 Pro, the lady said "Tokae" and goes in the back, and pulls out this white box, and brings it up front, and I was about to give her my cash, when I noticed on the box it said "R7500" so I open it up, and low-and behold its a Radeon 7500, so I give it back to her telling her it wasn't the correct one, (yes she rang up 345 total with tax) so she goes in the back, and yanks a 8500, process repeats, 9000, and then a 9700 Gold, and she tried to charge me for the Pro edition, so when I tell her, in as simple english as I can, I want the next best thing, she says they are out of the 9700! Ahhh!!!!1 I just waisted 25 minutes. Everything worked out though, after I left, dropped in Tech.E's and picked up a 9700 there in like 5 min flat and it was cheap. I'm never setting foot in Ginstar again, Tech.E's has everything, in a nice showroom, and they speak English! Yipiee!
My Advice: Don't shop at Ginstar"
"I bought my system from their store in Marietta. System wouldn't load 2000. Kept getting error messages. Took it back and they kept reminding me they might charge me several times. Turned out they had to replace the memory chip"
"Have bought many parts in the past years from this reseller, but lately have gotten quite a few bad parts ranging from motherboards to modems. Their techs are unfriendly, and some of the sales staff will give you an attitude if you are reselling their stuff. Overall, they have lost my business."
