"I ordered sunglasses, returned per their guidelines and policy, (too small) never received a refund, instead I received multiple conflicting emails. Some say was refunded and gave a fake tracking number. I was for Ed to open a PayPal
claim and was told I would not be refunded until I closed the claim. They convinced PayPal I was claiming defective which was not the case therefore PayPal did not back me. Continued emails were sent and received until I called them out on scamming me. No further replies to my emails and no refund received. Beware of you have to return an item.

WORST SERVICE IMAGINABLE

"I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A NEGATIVE REVIEW BEFORE, BUT THIS IS SO BAD !
3 WEEK DELAY IN SHIPPING. COMPANY WONT ALLOW RETURN BECAUSE PAST DEADLINE.
OVERSEAS ‘CUSTOMER SERVICE’ SIMPLY READS SAME SCRIPT REPEATEDLY NO MATTER WHAT QUESTION ASKED.
SENT BACK SUNGLASSES REGISTERED MAIL AND THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF RECEIVING, DESPITE USPS CONFIRMING DELIVERY.
INCOMPETENT AND DISHONEST.
LOST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS NOW. DONT BE SUCKERED INTO LOW PRICES.

Hope not a scam…

"I bought Versace eyeglasses on Glassesonweb.com because it said nothing about out of stock or “back order”. Had that been the case I would have never order! Slow updates on where my product is at, I’m only “updated” when I call constantly asking where’s my glasses.Another “two weeks” I “might”get my glasses shipped to me.
I hope this isn’t a scam, my lively-hood is based on how I look & I legitimately can not see. I’ll post an update.

The worst pair of glasses I have ever bought

"The screws fell out a few months later. The left lens had the sweet spot (focus point) not in the center where my eye needs it to be. It was off by 1/2 inch, giving me blurry vision instead of sharp vision. "

Terrible experience ordering glasses from Glassesonweb

"Awful experience from the get go. I thought it was a canadian site as they listed as .ca and shipped from Canada so I thought the price on the frames I was after was legit. I found out later (once it was too late to cancel) that the prices listed on the website were in USD not CAD. That wasn't listed anywhere.

I receive the order after no emailed receipt or any verification that the order was even placed (outside of my bank statement). The lenses look like they are about to pop out of the frame!

When I contacted customer service they claimed it was my fault for not ordering thinner lenses for my really heavy prescription. Which I've never had to do on other online glasses ordering site, my prescription is only -1.75. They told me to ship the frames back to them, at my cost, and that they would exchange the lenses for thinner ones at my cost (although there would be a tiny discount for the newer lenses).

I really couldn't believe they shipped the glasses as they were in the first place, with the lenses about to pop out of the frame.

I asked to return the glasses altogether as I didn't trust that they would do a good job on the lens replacement and I couldn't believe they were charging me on something that wasn't my fault. And they are requiring I pay for return shipping, pay a 15% restocking fee and there will be no refund on the lenses.

What a money making scheme! Can't recommend enough, avoid glasses on web!!

Shoppers beware Scam

"I ordered eyeglass frames. After 10 days I was told they no longer carry these frames and the charge to my credit card would be refunded. Money was never refunded. I don't think this is a eyeglass company just a front to steal your money. Scam"

Do not recommend

"Purchased coach frames. Was told they are refundable which was important because you have to try on glasses for fit. When I went to return them I was sent a long email which included a $15 restock fee and $9.95 shipping fee. The lack of transparency means they are not trustworthy. Shipping also took 10 days."

Charged but never shipped!

"Purchased frames with expedited shipping (2-3 days). Waited a week and nothing. Couldn't find a confirmation in my Inbox, so I searched my gmail account and found a confirm email but also another from two days after the order stating they were discontinued. They charged my credit card the day I submitted the order, and never reversed the charge when they failed to ship the product. Very deceptive.
I also suspect that they know how to format the email to avoid it appearing in your main Inbox. I've never had that happen before and it seems too convenient considering the facts.

Horrible Company

"Terrible Company!!
Terrible Company!!! Don’t order from them. I made to orders, paid extra 16$ for 1-3 days delivery and 5$ for 2-5 days delivery and the orders came 9 days after I ordered. Now I want to return them I they will charge me 15% (re-stocking fee)of the amount of the frames and they no refund shipping fee and taxes!!!!!

Bad service if I could rate negative 10 I would

"I still have not received my order and I ordered the fast shipping. I have contacted them and have not received any response. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you are looking for a company to get glasses from, please please please do not waste your time and money like I did. I will wait a few more days and then guess will just order from someone else."

Ten weeks for Delivery

"The Kate Spade frames I ordered were cheaper here than anywhere else, but they took months to get here. It turns out that their brick and mortar location is in a tiny small rural town in New York. It took days to get the package to a major post office and then because of the way it was packaged, the label came off and the post office lost it. About ten weeks later the post office found it and mailed it to me--which was still faster than Glassesontheweb.com would replace the product. After about 6 weeks and as many emails, they promised to send me a new pair...but then they said it was on backorder...yadda...yadda...I don't think I would order from them again."

Shoddy scratched lenses and a one-year old who can't see.

"We received our daughters glasses almost two weeks late (about 4 weeks total) and the lenses were scratched and did not fit properly into the frame. One lens was also larger and irregular shaped versus the other.

We immediately contacted the company for an exchange and the only option presented was to repurchase the glasses, or send in the one's we had and wait for a new pair. Now we are faced with our 1 year old daughter not having any glasses after trying them for a few days and now going without for up to an additional 4 weeks, or just eating the extra cost for these and going to a reputable eyeglass provider.

I spoke with customer service and asked them to send us new lenses and we would return the old ones once we received the new ones, this way our daughter wasn't without glasses for the time it takes to send us new product. She refused repeatedly, said it wasn't an option and she was the manager and would not approve it, over and over.

We read a few reviews of a similar nature prior to our initial purchase and took a chance - our feedback now would be to believe them. This company does not care, fails to ship on time, sends a poor quality product, and does not stand by their service.

If I could give them less than a star I would. DO NOT BUY from this vendor.

"I waited too long to ask to return my frames as I wasn't happy w/color. It was over a month or whatever. I was refused return/refund or any exchanges. I think I was sick or something which helped me put off my return. Product was great quality. Service for me very unsatisfactory. I now have frames I still love, but don't look good on me. I had to purchase different frames @ eye doctor."
