Poor customer service. Wrong part.

"Purchased a "XBox Power Supply new1.6". When recieved was not for a 1.6 but for the previous 1.2-1.5 models. Contacted support and they said it was correct for my board. I provided xbox community info showing that its not the right psu. Claimed all the info i gave including pics of my psu with his psu, videos of it not working in a 1.6 but working for a 1.2 and in his counter video he used to prove i was wrong used the correct 1.6 psu i needed and not the one i was sent. When pointing this out he claimed i didnt know what i was talking about and quoted his so called "experience" repairing them. This was the only time i have had any shop try to tell me they all use the same psu. But in the videos he is clearly not using the same psu he sent me."

"They don't offer refunds or returns when there is problems with their only shipping provider, UPS, so you basically can kiss your money goodbye when they mess up the custom forms or something happens (lost, stolen, seized). Anyone outside Canada should avoid them at all costs! You will lose your money or spend 8$ on shipping to find out it will take MONTHS to arrive when they advertise 3-5 days. They also have hidden fees so they never bill you the amount they say (I had 5$ hidden fee) which is very much a scam. Don't do business with them, you will regret it."

"i ordered the x360 usb pro from the website, at first i thought the business was shady because the website still had some of the original content from smart template (lorem ipsum etc) but they had products listed and a phone number to call, so i called and got some great info. the guy i talked to on the phone offered some great info and advice.

the order was shipped the same day i ordered it, and i got it the next day with standard shipping!

i would def buy from these guys again, my xbox 360 rocks because of them!

"I've read the negative reviews about this store, and I can't say I agree with any of them. I ordered something less than 24 hours ago, and it already arrived. Not only that, it absolutely was new, not refurbished like another reviewer mentioned. I also received great customer service, and probably had the smoothest online transaction I've ever had.

I'd highly recommend this store for both prices and customer service. Ignore these other morons.

"I live in the same town as GCS and so i visited their store to get an R4 card for my DS and i checked their web site the morning before i left and the item was listed for $16.99 now if i wanted to wait for the item i could have purchased the exact same card online from a different vendor in Hong Kong for $8.60 plus free shipping but i was in kind of a hurry so i went to their store and proceeded to buy one and the guy charged me like 26.99 plus tax for the card and when i asked him why it was so much more he said that i had to pay for the shipping which was 9.99 but why am i paying for shipping when i am picking up the item myself it makes no sense to me so if you live near GCS be prepared to pay like 10 bucks more for anything you are going there to pick up "

"I pre-ordered a psjailbreak when they were first announced from GoCyberShop in August. Years ago I pre-ordered an X3 pre-mod, and it was shipped a couple days later after inventory arrived at retailers. This situation was a little different though, as psjailbreak kept delaying the shipping date to resellers. Gocyber emailed me almost religiously and offered to refund my order multiple times as the rep told me they had yet to receive a firm date from the manufacture.

Last week I got an email saying they received inventory, and upgraded my shipping option from ground to overnight for free.

While the manufacture kept delaying the shipping date, gocyber kept me in the loop. I emailed them about purchasing another (for a buddy) and was told it would ship within 24 hours as they're in stock.

All the other sites are still trying to collect preorders, while gocyber actually physically has them.

"These people tried to steal my money. I ordered an xbox 360 250gb drive. I live in the same province as the gocybershop (GCS) and expected the drive that was "In-Stock" to be received well within a week considering I got the 'Express' shipping method. However, 5 weeks later I finally received the product. I was annoyed about this, but just happy to have the product considering I could no longer use my xbox in the same capacity since my original hard drive packed up. Giving props to GCS since the product was extremely well protected from shock. However, when I finally got through the packaging it was obvious that the drive had been some way tampered with. There were pry marks on some of the plastic and the entire drive itself was in relatively dirty condition and looked used. After dusting it off, I plugged it into my xbox and turned the power on. You could hear the unit power up, but it started to make a continuous clicking noise like clockwork and you could hear the drive winding down every few seconds. When I tried to view data on the hard drive the xbox stopped working and I got the red ring of death. Luckily unplugging the drive solved the red ring of death. Thinking that the connector of the drive did not properly engage, I tried attaching the drive again with no resolve. On a third attempt the drive stopped making the clicking noise and instead sounded like something inside was jammed.

Calling GCS the next day and talking to "tech. support" they accidentally slipped that the drive was refurbished but that it had been tested and deemed to work normally prior to being shipped. At this point it sounded like they were just making excuses and giving me the run-around. After about five to ten minutes of arguing I was told to send the drive back and that I could expect a full-refund. But after waiting several weeks after they received the shipment which I tracked I still had no refund at all. So I called them again and was told that they had a no-return, no-refund policy for specific hardware, and the HDD was under this policy. At this point I was baffled and the person who said his name was Jeramie and sounded very much like the first person who had promised me a full-refund weeks prior told me that they did in-fact receive the product, but at this point they claimed that they had no responsibility over it. They went on to say that I obviously tampered with the drive which they were now claiming was brand new when they originally sent it to me and that not returning my money would be protected by their policy if I were to attempt any legal action.

After being extremely... annoyed and upset by my conversation with GCS I went on to do more research which is when I happened across one of the below negative reviews and realized I could instead opt to charge back through my credit institution under the allegation that I did not receive the product that I had ordered (a refurbished HDD vs. what I had expected was new) and that they did not honor their return policy for defective hardware.

I guess a long story short is that reading reviews, and not just one but many forums along with viewing the companies BBB report allows you to make a more informed decision about whether or not to purchase from a "company" (I am actually convinced that only one person runs this operation). BTW - The company currently has an F rating by the BBB, and in case you think this is scale from A to Z, then you would be mistaken. Like school, an F is as low as you go.

Also, I would like to mention that during the interim of receiving, returning and finally obtaining my full amount of money back for the faulty or poorly refurbished product that I had done significant research on this company. It seems that the company has changed its name at least three time (probably due to bad reviews or significant BBB allegations) and that there are floating reviews that seem like damage control on every site. Seriously, what person goes to ten different sites and copies and pastes the exact same gleaming, star-bangled review just above a negative review.

One last thing... When GCS received their letter from my credit institution stating that they would be forced to reverse the transaction, I got a message on my answer machine saying that they intended on fighting the decision and that this would result in further legal action and that I had to call my credit institution to drop the charge back immediately or face a collections agency for the money I owed them. Obviously this was a baseless claim and no further calls were received. Unfortunate, considering the satisfaction I gained from hearing an agitated and almost crying Jeramie sternly threatening legal action.

"I ordered a Modbo 4.0 PS2 modchip received it quickly and the price was great.

I received it and no diagrams or anything came with it but was able to find many diagrams online on different sites and was able to get it installed. My PS2 recognized it fine and the chip works however once it was installed my PS2 all of a sudden would not recognize PS2 Mem. Cards only PS1 cards. I looked around online for help and could not find any so I contacted go cyber shop.

I was informed that they had not heard of the problem so I would have to search around forums online for help. I told them I found it odd that a tech support dept would not offer any help with trying to figure out the problem and that I was very unhappy with their service. I was informed that no company will offer tech support for a $14 product. I told them I would never again purchase from them and their response was "good" and then they disconnected from me.

This company has they WORST customer service and tech support I have ever dealt with in my life. I have been working in customer service for over 10 years and never would I tell a customer "Good" that they were never going to shop with me again. And regardless if a product purchased is $500 or $5 they should still offer support for all of their products and not just "Sorry havent heard of that problem go figure it out yourself".

Their products are inexpensive and I had no issues with shipping but if you plan on having any sort of communication with their cust. serv. or tech support after purchasing I strongly suggest using a different company.

Also after looking at the Better Business Bureau I see they have a rating of "F". They have had 3 complaints regarding refunds and product issues. 1 of which they have not responded to (which is what gave them an "F".) I also have filed a complaint against this company since after several attempts of trying to call them instead of going through their live online support I can not reach a person.

"Before placing my order I called to see if a human would pick up and they did. Very polite and helpful in regards to some of my questions. Feeling confident with this business, I decided to give online shopping a second chance.

I placed my order, no probs. Was very pleasantly surprised that not only did they send me the confirmation in my email account but tracking references too.

Knowing that UPS is semi decent at times, I was not only anxiously awaiting my new toy to arrive, but was more than willing to do future dealings with them.

That changed when I open the package (03/09/10). Yes, the merchandise was neatly corded and everything was in the box that it was suppose to be, one thing threw me for a bit of a loop. It looked like this item had been previously used.

At first I shrugged it off, thinking they might have tested it before it left the shop. Not the case.

The guns barrel is scuffed and a little grimy (suggests more than testing), but I decided, meh, so long as it works I'm still satisfied.

I follow the instructions to the letter, hooked up the LED sensors and no power. Check the instructions again to see if I missed something. Sure thing I had to mess around with the USB settings in my device manager to up the power useage so the device would work.

Not so. Even after rebooting the red LED would not go on.

OK so I thought, I probably don't have enough juice over all to power it with the USB port. Looked at the manual again, it requires 600mA 5v. No worries, I have tons of universal adapters. Still no red LED would come on.

The gun itself seems to function, the LED sensors not at all.

I left a message on their phone (after hours) and gave them an ultimatum (sorry guys, I've been ripped off by Costume Hut in the past). If Go Cybershop replaces what is broken I may very well be inclined to deal with them in the near future.

These guys are very polite on the phone and understood where I was coming from. They have sent me the replacement as promised. Hopefully it functions.

I did apologize over the phone but they completely understood my reasons. Will I do business with them in the future? Yes. And thanks to the guys at Go Cybershop I have gained some more confidence with online shopping, but it may only be exclusive with them.

Thanks for keeping your end of the bargin, we need more people like you out there.

The gun died and was deemed defective. I sent it back on Friday, no emails from this company since. So far this purchase has cost just over $100 CAD with only a $10 discount WOOPIE!. I'll change my review when I've heard about the replacement, until then, I'm not so sure about this company anymore.
