"Thanks a lot gocybershop! I got exactly what I wanted in a very short amount of time. My expectations were exceeded. I am very pleased."
"EDIT: The CD disk does not work, I am waiting for a response from Go cyber shop before I determine if I''m going to change my review!
Excellent! Gocybershop shipped in around 9 business days to me in newfoundland canada(Which is good). The fliptop and swap magic both work perfect, though the disks had a few scratches(Not alot), but that was because of the little cases they were in. Gocybershop was cheap and had great professional service, Received my tracking number in little time and I would definitely buy from them again. AND I ordered 3.6, and the DVD disc was that, but the CD disc was the newer 3.8 coder version which is much better!"
"If you have had a negative experience that was similar to mine (read below), then you should consider the following to resolve your complaint:
1. Using a charge back to obtain your full refund (talk to you bank 30 days after your shipment is supposed to arrive, which depends on the type of shipping you got, ie 3-5 b. days)
2. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Ontario (use their postal code to find their local BBB and previous complaints).
3. Understand your consumer rights (http://www.gov.on.ca/mgs/en/ConsProt/STEL02_167849.html is a good place to start)
Complaint:
Ordered an nme2.0 mod-chip that they were claiming was "in-stock!" One week post-purchase I sent an email inquiring about the chip. After a few days I was given a response that they were expecting the chips in "any day," and that when they received them, they would ship it off to me. Week three I inquired about the nme2.5 which nme had just released... GCS claimed that they had these chips "in-stock!" on their website and I was informed by email that this would be the chip they would send me.
Week Four: received a general email stating that the nme2.5 did not pan out as originally planned, and that they would send me an nme2.0 a month later (week nine?)... Alternatively, they would be willing to give me a coupon (for use on their site) or that I would get a free flashing for my xbox by sending it in(Which I can do myself for free, and at this point I wouldn't trust these guys with my toothbrush let alone my box). I asked for a refund, and they told me that they would have to charge me 25% for a restocking fee. Sorry, they actually said "Cancel fee" (which isn't in their policy as much as they argue on that point with me).
To that affect, HOW EXACTLY do you charge a RESTOCKING FEE for a piece of kit that you don't have IN-STOCK!!!! I guess by "Cancel Fee," they actually mean "I want to keep the mark up on this product fee."
Long story short... I processed a charge back in accordance with my consumer rights (which they tried to fight, and lost), and I recieved my full funds back.
So I guess thanks goes to my Credit Card company for facilitating that little legal-necessity.
In addition - read "Vicman Linares" review on p.5. GCS writes back mentioning "GO CYBER SHOP honesty and integrity has never been questioned by any LEGITIMATE, RATIONAL or LOGICAL customer." Thought that comment was moderately misinformed considering the amount of complaints found on many sites, and the few satisfied don not seem to stay that way for long when most realize their merchandise is defective

"Placed my order (first time) for Swap Magic disks and a Magic Switch v3 tool on Sunday night, it shipped out Monday, I received it Tuesday. Packaged extremely well. Only problem was that I ordered a Magic Switch but received a Slim tool...still works but I wanted the magic switch for the extra piece and matching color."
"I had already deleted the email with my invoice number, but I purchased two Xecuter 3 CE's from them on Mar 23rd. I emailed them twice and got prompt replies both times (once on Sunday). They had the chips in stock and shipped the next day. I got an email confirming my order and an email with shipping information including a UPS tracking number. Honestly, nothing phenomenal, just a pleasant online buying experience. What makes them noteworthy is their responsiveness which is above average to excellent and the fact that in comparison to most gaming mod vendors, they are superstars."
"I have ordered many times and they are perfect everytime. Great customer communication. Reputable and prompt. Only a bit more expensive, but you get what you pay for."
"I am very impressed with the service. Here is what happened. They sent the wrong order so I called the next day to solve the issue. They immediately took care of the situation. I would shop again. And big thanks to Jeremy for resolving the matter professionally. Cheers! "
"Gocybershop is great. I ordered a Swap Magic and PStwo slim flip top cover on tuesday december 11th at around 7:00 in the morning and paid for one day shipping since I wanted it fast. I got a notification that it shipped at around 7:00 p.m. the same day.
By around 11:00 in the morning of the 12th, i had my package!
These people rock!"
"Hey there, I had a great time shopping with gocybershop, the customer service was fast, the package got 2 days late cause of damn UPS but when I told them to issue a tracker, gocybershop did that within 2 hours!! awesome experience, you have to try them out :)"
"I ordered a Solderless Xbox Modchip from Go Cyber Shop (order date listed below the review is only an estimate since I don't have the invoice at hand), paid by Money Order (dated 14 May 2004), and received the chip, but I was unable to get it fitted correctly and decided to give up on it rather than continue to fiddle with it and risk scratching the motherboard. I emailed Go Cyber Shop, explained my problem, and they agreed to let me return it and apply the value of the chip toward a soldered chip installation. I sent the solderless chip back, they emailed me to say they received it in satisfactory condition, and asked if I'd like to send my Xbox to them for an installation. I placed an order, packed up my Xbox along with enough payment to cover the difference in price, and sent it to Go Cyber Shop. Several days passed, I heard nothing from them, so I called on the phone to ask if they'd received it and was told that they didn't have my Xbox and didn't know where it might be. A few more days passed, and the package was returned to me marked as "refused." Apparently the Canadian Customs agency makes some distinction between a declaration of "item sent for repair" & "returned item" and had tried to charge Go Cyber Shop a tax or duty on it. I decided to just redeem my second Money Order and have the Xbox modded elsewhere rather than try to send it to Canada again and take another chance with their Customs agency. I called Go Cyber Shop and they verified that they'd refused the package. I asked if I could just have a refund for the price of the solderless modchip, then, and the customer service rep told me "I don't know." "I don't know"?
So, what am I to do, at that point. I placed an order for a different item and sent an email explaining that I'd like to apply the value of the modchip toward paying for this new order. No response, the order was never filled. I emailed again, and asked for a refund again since the matter of exchanging the solderless chip for a different service/item was not being resolved in a timely fashion. Still no response from Go Cyber Shop, and furthermore while this was happening, they overhauled their website and my account & orders were no longer listed on the site.
I have not bothered trying to contact Go Cyber Shop, since then. Perhaps I gave up too easily. At the time, I'd had enough of calling, emailing, and getting no answers. I was just reminded of all of this tonight (a year-and-a-half later) while cleaning my desk, as I found my original receipt for the Money Order I'd used to pay for the solderless chip. With "Payable to: Go Cyber Shop" written on it. As far as I'm concerned, they still owe me approx $50-$55 USD as they never provided an exchange or a refund for the modchip which I returned and they accepted."
"Had a few minor problems at first(item was backordered but not listed as so on the website),but they restocked quickly and got me my order.
Major props to their customer service though, they respond very fast.
Product arrived in perfect condition and works perfectly.(Swap Magic 3.6+Fliptop)"
"Ordered a Magic Switch Pro v2 on Thursday, November 17. The site had said they'd receive the shipment on November 18 (I was on backorder). After a few days, still on November 18. I emailed them and was told that they hadn't received the switches yet, so I was stuck practicing a little patience. On Friday, November 25, I got an email from UPS with my tracking number. On Monday, November 28 (Today), 2005, I now have my product. Order was correct, and works flawlessly. They were quick to reply to my emails, and I would definitely reccomend this store for your modding needs."
"My order was placed on a Saturday morning for a Magic 3.1 modchip for the PS2. After checking many online sites, including one I often use (also based in Canada) Easybuy 2000, and the price of this site was better (even though Easybuy offers express free shipping).
Minutes after my order was placed, I got my automated response from their system in my email saying it's ready to process. Being the weekend, I had to wait until monday until any realy activity happened.
Sure enough, on monday I woke up and got a personalized reply from GoCyberShop!, including the location it's being shipped from, approximate time of arrival, and etc... This email also included my tracking number. About 1 hour later, UPS also sent me an email, confirming my tracking number.
Right away I was pleased to see my order is well under way in the fastest time possible. In my email it said shipping is being done from Thailand (I picked the cheapest shipping) so I was expecting a 7-10 day wait, as on all my other orders from across the sea. Tuesday, 6pm, my package is already here! I was stunned at the delivery speed... order placed on Sat, processed on Mon, and here the next day.
Not only this, but I opened the package, and to my surprise, they even included 25 tiny wires and soldering materials! All other sites forced you to buy these on your own.
This is an excellent company, and it shows even by the fact that they take time to reply to comments on this 3ed party site. Highly recommended."
"I ordered from them yesterday, and I had asked that if the item was out of stock to please cancel my order as I will be departing on vacation. Sure enough today they e-mailed me saying that it was indeed on backorder and went ahead to cancel my order as I had asked. being my first internet shopping experience, I am very pleased that as soon as something was wrong they listened to what I wish to be done about it. "
