"I ordered a Xenium Modchip w/ solderless adapter on 4/26 for $67.68 (#86734) and paid via Paypal that same day. A week passed with no change in my order status. They then sent a short reply saying the item was now ETA until 5/7, even though it was instock when I ordered it. I waited until 5/10 when the ETA changed to 5/14, at this time they added a little insert on the item description page, way down and buried, that they could not authenticate the modchip and thus it was now being sold as a clone! This info was not there when I had ordered it! Fake modchips do not work and can seriously damage your console. I cancelled the order on 5/11. According to their own policies they would reply and process the cancellation in 48 hrs. They ignored my cancellation request and shipped out the fake Xenium modchip on 5/14! The customer service person I ever talked to just sent me a reply saying "Send back then" When I asked if I would receive a refund he replied again saying "I will see what I can do". When I received the modchip I checked it out and was able to determine that it indeed was a fake. I promptly repackaged the item and mailed it back to them via USPS Global Priority Mail that same 5/17. A week went by and it was supposed to have gotten to them in 4-7 bus. days but they kept telling me "Not yet" when I would ask if they had received the item back yet. On June 5th I come to find my USPS Global Priority package back in my mailbox with a "Refused/Return to Sender" stamped on it by Go Cyber Shop on 5/21 nonetheless, even though Marni kept telling me they hadn't received the item! From the item description changing after I had ordered it, to the order page update taking forever to change, to the shipping issues, to the cancellation process they ignored, to the customer service that would only give me short and rude 3 word replies Go Cyber Shop is THE worst online purchase I have ever had, and I've bought items online for over 10 years now. If anyone from Go Cyber Shop reads this I want my full $67.68 back. I paid for an authentic Xenium and you did not sell me one, you sold me a fake. What you are selling is junk and is guaranteed to fail. Read what the official maker of the Xenium modchip "Ozxodus" has to say on cloned aka fake Xenium modchips.

If you had taken the time to read my post you would have noticed that when I originally ordered the item you were NOT selling it as 3rd party but as an original at the time, that is what I ordered and a week after I paid for the item you CHANGED the description to read that it was now a clone, this was and still is buried on the item description page, just because you added a little "(clone)" to the item name now doesn't mean it was there before. I paid attention to the item name and description page when I ordered it, you CHANGED IT AFTERWARDS, that is FRAUD. Second I did indeed fill out the cancellation form 3 days before it said it was shipped. You even admit it in your response and then contradict it with the next sentence. If you can't find it in your archives that's the fault of your webpage's cancellation form not mine. Also it would have been nice if you had decent customer service that would have informed me as to which way to ship back the item instead of just saying "ship back then". Your policy page said not to ship it via UPS, I did just that and shipped it via USPS with a lable reading "returned for refund" just like your policy page indicates. Lastly what you sent me is indeed JUNK, IT WILL screw up my Xbox and you are just trying to BS customers, those in the modchip scene know that fakes have a 90% fail rate they will fry the Xbox's motherboard. Also your claim to sell the clone cheap is bunk! You sold me it for $60.00 that's actually more than what official resellers sell Xeniums, hardly a deal! Go Cyber Shop runs a shoddy business just by the way you threaten and speak rudely to your customers. The HORRID 4.46 out of 10 you're rate proves my point!

I never tried a credit card charge back I only asked my bank to call your company on my behalf, you want me to again resend the item back to you just so you can refuse it again and waste more of my money, I'm looking at losing more than half of what I paid for the item just to get some money back, since this FAKE Xenium won't work!

Go Cyber Shop just called my home and left this exact message on my voice mail: "Hey Vicman I hope you don't have any pirated software laying around you ****!" He's now resorted to phone harassment which is a federal crime punishable upto 5 years in Canada. Would a good company do something like this? No way. I now have proof and will be contacting the authorities shortly.
Also their local BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU gives them a horrible rating.
They have also deleted my user account so I can no longer look at my order details! GO CYBER SHOP CANNOT BE TRUSTED!

We upgraded this ungrateful customer to FASTER, MORE EXPENSIVE UPS shipping at OUR EXPENSE, unfortunately before the cancellation request. He DID NOT use the order cancellation form found under 'Customer Service' - 'Contact' - maybe this could have been prevented?

We informed the customer if he wasn't happy, it was unused to send back for a refund, less restocking fee. He NEGLECTED AGAIN to read our return policy and FAILED to fill out the proper forms for the return.

In response to your accusing, one sided response - Our reputation proceeds the very few unhappy people who seek out to blab anonymously on the internet hiding behind their computer. You've PROVEN to future customers that your a difficult customer to begin with - even your credit card agency DENIED your charge back claim as they could clearly see you did not follow or READ the return instructions. You have a lot of nerve ACCUSING us of fraud when you attempted to get your money back from your credit card agency and keep the goods. Also, 56 postings out of over 150,000 served is not bad, nor are all the posting deragatory remarks.

We stand by our RETURNS POLICY - return as per the policy and conditions, and you will be refunded - it's that simple.

We are now purchasing directly from the Xenium manufactuer and are now listed as an official reseller.”

"This is my 3rd order with Go Cyber Shop! and every time I call them or send an e-mail they reply to my need....

The 2 last orders ship very quickly and was received within a 3 to 4 days.....

Only the first one was delayed due to stock problem... But 2 week later the device was home even if it was an import from Japan...

also the lady was quite nice to me when i got a question for her on the phone...

"I ordered a 2.3 Lite Modchip on Feb. 13th. I figured it may have been on backorder, as these chips sell out quite frequently. I was willing to wait, since it is a very good chip. However I was pleasantly surprised that it came on Monday morning (I had ordered on a Friday). The delivery was swift, and when I called in with questions about the chip, they were knowledgeable and only too happy to help. I will definitely be buying from them again! "

"I ordered two items, a Saturn Action Replay Pro and a PC Comms Link. The Action Replay arrived on time, but I was told the PC Comms Link wouldn't be in stock for another week. Go Cyber Shop charged me for both items nonetheless. I asked again 16 days later, and again the answer was "another week". Then they stopped responding to my emails altogether. In February, I managed to get a response that they'd cancel my order and "forward it to accounting", but 2 additional months passed with no refund. It wasn't until April, after I posted this review, that Go Cyber Shop finally refunded me (although 60 cents short of what I'd paid).

The legal length to which Go Cyber Shop has now gone to silence me, and cover up its own conduct, is both unsurprising and consummately telling. Your apology was posted, as requested, to the following URL which has since expired.

“This customer has been refunded in FULL for the backordered item.

Unfortunately we received the royal run-around from our supplier is Asia. However, this is no excuse. We have dealt with this accordingly by refunding the customer and discontinuing the product altogether. As well, there was a mixup in paper shuffle and feel that a FULL refund should be sufficient.

Currently, this customer has started a website posting slander (it has been altered, but we have original postings) about our company and we have obtained legal council.

As well, for reference, we did refund the exact original amount billed in CDN funds for this item. Since Neill is obviously new to the world of business, he needs to understand that the foreign exchange fluctuates. We post on all our credit card sale invoices that we bill in CDN funds.

It amazes us that a customer who was notified that this hard to find item was backordered and then refunded in full when these items never restocked (the supplier never came through) would go as far as this when we corrected the problem - upon their request to cancel. We did not ignore any emails.

This person is "allegedly" one sick, self-indulged, adolescent, immature, exaggerating, insignificant, mentally crippled individual with too much time on their hands. Attacking our company as a whole for an unfortunately poor situation is immature and childish. Good luck in all your future endeavors.

FYI, GO CYBER SHOP has an honest and solid reputation with over 150,000 satisfied customers since late 1996.

Apparently Neillparatzo thinks that he has all his bases covered, and that he can sit and hide behind his keyboard. In fact, this is much more serious than he is aware. By his constant continuation to slanderous postings and persistence to have the final word proves our point.”

"I ordered a xrgb-2 plus from Gocybershop, but it turns out that the item is not in stock (as some of the other reviewers have said, the website does not tell you whetever the item is in stock or not). I cancelled my order immediately after I found out that the item is not in stock, one of their workers reply that the order cancellation will be forwarded to their accounting (this was on Feb 23). I waited for a week, no refund was made to my bank account, I sent email to the accounting, guess what? no reply, I thought they might be busy, so I waited another week, send another email a few days ago, this time the auto-reply replied that they will process the email within 48 hours at most, but guess what? no reply.

Gocybershop, if you are reading this, please email me, because I really want to solve the matter peacefully, but as for now, I am NOT RECOMMENDING Gocybershop to anyone.

"After reading some negative ratings of Go Cyber Shop I had to add my thoughts. My order was not without problems and some are the same as others have talked about here. The end result though is that I waited and worked with the Seller as much as I could. The problems with my order was because they have several email addys and the right one was not the one PayPal sent to. That is a mix of problems on their end and PayPal's end but something simple that is being fixed as I type this.

I was able to talk to Jason and Jeramie on a Friday and early Monday and within the two days they got this solved. Waiting a few days to resolve an issue is not too much for me to have to go through on my end and that is the reason I am writing this review. TOO MANY of the reviews here are from people who wanted something done within a day or less and the world does not work that way. Be calm people and try to give the Go Cyber a chance to do what is right before coming here and blasting them. I have noticed that each negative review has a answer from Go Cyber that leads me to think they did all they could to get things right and with me the same has to be said.

"I placed an order with this company on December 29th, 2003. Apparantly, normally 'ships in 24 hours', but here we are more than 2 months later and still just 'order received'.

I've made international phone calls to this company just to get fobbed off with 'it'll be sent at the end of the week', and my emails are ignored.

Don't go near these guys, looks like i've lost my US$300.

Update In Response to Feedback (9th March):

Quoting the email I received:

"... PLEASE NOTE that all high value Credit Card orders such as PlayStation 2
and XBox Consoles will be required ADDITIONAL CONFIRMATION INFORMATION to

copy of your credit card (front and back), driver’s license, invoice and
note authorizing GO CYBER SHOP! for the amount of charge for the items you
purchased. Our credit card processing company requires this information to

Reading this, I got the impression that the ADDITIONAL CONFIRMATION INFORMATION mentioned was something that would (in time) be automatically provided by the bank, and that providing it myself would serve only to expedite the process.

It seems obvious now that the ambiguity of the message has lead to a misinterpretation on my part, but why was this not explained to me previously when I have phoned? I was told each time by your staff that the Playstation 2 was out of stock, and that my order would ship at the end of the week.

It is a nonsense that after expecting my order for 10 weeks, and after numerous unfruitful emails and phonecalls, I finally receive a useful response on a complaints messageboard. Couldn't this have been explained to me earlier?

I will email the necessary information within the next few days, and expect my order dispatched in earnest.

"Worst internet buying experience ever.
Ordered an act labs force rs combo wheel. The day i ordered item was in stock. 3 days later they contacted me telling me item was not in stock and i should have to wait a week, although they took the money from my account and removed the item from their site!!! A week later they told me i should wait another week. I canceled my order and although i was told i will receive a refund i never got it. I have filed a claim through paypal and hope to get my money back someday. Communication was good with Jeramie and Marni but this did not produce any results, did it?
I think it is not luck that they have so many dissatisfied customers, where there is smoke there has to be fire.
First and last time i bought from them.
***EDIT***
1 day later, they did refund my order. Maybe they are a bit slow on proccesing all these orders and cancelations. Maybe gocybershop needs an extra department of cancelations because as i have seen more of the complains are on lack of speed on proccesing the cancelations and people are afraid that they might loose their money. Therefore this has not turned out to be my worst internet buying experience...

The warehouse notified our office of this product being out of stock, we updated the site and contacted this customer. We then refunded upon the customers request.

We do hundreds of orders a day and have been in business since late 1996. The few 46 'ratings' in over 6 months doesn't even add up to one day of sales. Nearly all complaints on this 'ratings' site is customers failure to read postings and policies. Unfortunately and realistically you can not every person happy – they post here.”

"This is a ver Bad company. GoCyberShop take my money without stock to deliver. It's take 2 month before advise my on out od stock instead the continu to offer these product on their site. When he credit my, he charged my for item not shipped. I lost 40$, just an off to forget about it. They don't answerd to email, we have to fax for get finally someone. Very bad service. Muy kids dosen't have his christmas gifts on time, too bad."

“We had posted on the repective product page that the item was out of stock. We shipped the items when the restocked, as posted.

Unfortunately we are not the manufacturer and we were at the mercy of their production and distribution - which took nearly 2 months.

We have since had the 'availability' on all product pages 'bolded' to stand out and be less likely to be overlooked by others.”

"OK, I order from them on Dec. 22 2003 and I still havent receive from them. I send Paypal and they received. I check the status on their site and it says new. A few days later when I order, I notice that they will be close during that week and into Jan. So i waited and waited until they returned. First, I emailed sales about the status of my order and they responded that i should contact shipping. I emailed shipping later but no respond. I emailed to orders which handles the order cancellation, I said i want my order to be cancel if they havent shipped my order yet. Yet, still no responds. It was on Jan. 16, they sent me a email concerning about my order which stated "We regret to inform you that there were some problems processing the order you placed on 12/22/2003 1:44:57 PM. Please contact Customer Service at ....". I check the status on their sites and it says, Please remit payment/reorder. I called them multiple of times but the machine keeps picking it up. Then the I emailed them one last time. I actually got a respond saying that they need my order number but i posted on the same email that i sent earlier. So, I reply back with my order number but a few days later, no reponse. And now still waiting......."

“We did not receive the automated PayPal payment notification from PayPal.

We have confirmed the payment manually, now that it has been brought to our attention. We have no email regarding a cancellation, only the customer name, order number to look into the payment.

The item was shipped:

We emailed the customer regarding the order concerns, the customer received our inquiry, and we staightened out the problem and shipped the item.... we would expect the same service. We have since hired more staff to handle call volumes.”

Wow, alot of posts here.
I realize snail mail is slow.Glad I made sure I did everything right.Proper payment method,with the correct information.Just checked on the product I purchased,shows "ships within 24 hrs".
Thats a good sign.Just hope my payment gets there before product goes back-order.
Will give awesome review if all goes well.

"IN FACT HERES IS A COMMENT JUST TO MAKE THEM MAD, WHILE WAITING FOR MY CHIP TO COME IN I WENT AHEAD AND ORDERED ANOTHER ONE FROM http://www.modchipman.com with a cooling fan and a usb connector, I ordered on a thur and recieved the following monday, all in mint condition, I also only paid for ground shipping, and the end price was still cheaper by a few bucks compared to the just the chip I bought form this company, ID seriously reccomend going through http://www.modchipman.com instead :P

From GoCyberShop I ordered on December 10 2003 /w overnight shipping B4 THERE WAS ANY MESSAGE ON THE SITE SAYING THAT THERE WOULD BE A SHORTAGE, today is Febuary 9 2004 and I have yet to recieve any items or recieve any feedback as to when I will recieve a refund Their Customer Service Is Extreamly RUDE, WHEN THEY RESPOND, and this JASON guy is the worst, DO NOT DO BUISSNESS /W THEM THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREAMLY HORRABLE

UPDATE-WITHIN A few Mins of posting this I did finally recieve an email with a tacking # and recieved the item 2 hrs later, kinda slow huh, i shoulda recieved this email 2 days ago

UPDATE TO COMMENT - When I ordered IT WAS NOT marked on backorder, as for the product page being updated I shouldnt have had to check back constantally on the site just to see when ill get my stuff, I did do this though for a while but the ETA changed so much the last one i read accually said, ETA-WHEN THEY ARRIVE, I NEVER RECIEVED ANY NEWSLETTER OR RECIEVED A PHONE CALL TILL YESTERDAY FEB12, I HAVE THE PHONE AND EMAIL RECORDS TO PROVE IT, AND NO I WAS NEVER OFFERED A SUBSTUTION OF ANY TYPE, this company is lying

NEW COMMENT FEB 16 - BUYER BEWARE, I just recieved another call from JASON, this time he is threatining to bring me to court for slander for saying their "customer service is a SCAM" above, I have edited it out now and if JASON still has a problem with it he can go ahead and speak with his lawyers, he also commented that, if I had any trouble I shoulda canceled my order, WHAT COMPANY SHOULD WANT U TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER, I was unable to cancel my order tho, due to my original acct being shut down, I had requested it shut down shortly after ordering so that I would be able to open one up with a more custom name, Stupid of me I admit, and they refused to refund to my new acct., which yes I do understand.

you ordered and XBIT that was marked on backorder - since December. They finally arrived, and they shipped out overnight. UPS 1z167rv06663801144 (www.ups.com) The respective product page was updated with an ETA, and a newletter sent out when they arrived. Prior to this we ran a newsletter and called customers to offer a subsititute product if they didn't want to wait for the XBIT until after Christmas. I think this was good customer service.

By posting we are a scam is ignorant and your only intention is to bash us. The repective product page also had the substitute posted under 'Product Alerts'.
