"I placed an on-line order for a GPS device for golfers for my son's birthday. He gave me the specifics of which model he wanted and even gave me the link to GolfTech.com. The device was supposed to be express delivered.
On the day the item should have been delivered, I received a call from a man who stated he was with GolfTech and that they "value their customer's security" and that in order to verify that my order was legitimate, he had submitted a small debit amount to my bank card. He said that I had to call my bank and find out what the small amount was, then call him back to verify the amount. He said they would then either refund that small charge or charge the rest of the amount and then process the order. By this time, I stopped listening to his ridiculous protocol (if it is even real.) The card I used to place the order was an actual credit card, not a debit card. I was having the item shipped to my son (same last name) in another state. I canceled the order and ordered through Amazon.
I will not be ordering from GolfTech again. I do not understand the benefit of this verification procedure. "

I finally was able to do that and SYNC the GPS unit, but now the software won't even open up. I decided to return the unit before using it, and find out that it cannot be returned per the company's policy. Wish I saw that before ordering. The GPS unit takes too long to locate the course(s) I want to play or are in the area. "
