"Over the years I have shopped and spent thousands of dollars at Goody's (and Stage stores.) I like shopping there and usually find unique items although I feel the prices are higher than most. I recently did a consolidation and paid off my Goodys account and had planned not to shop there because of the higher prices and I didn't want to be tempted to use my card. When I received the 20 dollar gift card I decided to go do some shopping. I didn't find much I wanted or needed for Christmas but did purchase a pair of tennis shoes. I ended up paying only 68 Cents which was a great deal but later found I couldn't wear them. I brought them back to exchange for other items and was told I would not get credit for the gift card toward the exchange. The clerk was nice about it when I told her this was not right to give someone a gift and then take it back. I brought the shoes back unworn and was going to purchase other items but did not when my gift was taken back. This is such poor customer service. What is 20.00 to this company? Others I have told about this agreed it was very poor customer service and commented that may have something to do with why they keep going out of business. Also, the coupons and sales are sometimes so restrictive it makes them difficult to use: use this one this day only, this is not good toward that purchase, can not be combined, not good on doorbusters, can't use with that coupon, have to use your credit card, and on and on. I am about to forsake shopping with you at all."
"Our Stage Store in Jefferson City, TN is a great store to shop at. Friendly associates, lots of nice choices to make and great prices. Have not ever had a bad experience since I've been going there."
