"Initial call was for a guest checkout purchase that they cancelled with no notification. Reasoning provided by support - the guest checkout site is not secure! So transaction was denied.
Instructed to submit new order as a "Google User", order fails again, instructed to enter yet another bring up the concern that I will have duplicate order they guarantee this is not the case. The extra order will cancel in 24 hours.
36 hours pass, check the status of store orders, still have two.
Call support again with previous Case# and request that they address the two orders as only one is required they say they can't do anything just refuse the duplicate on delivery. Protest as I do not want two charges on my account and have to deal with an RMA, told there is nothing they can do. This issue is still pending and have not received any of the product.
So....my son had ordered the same product on the same day and paid separately. His transaction went through and said that it was out for delivery on December 28th. We made sure someone was home but no delivery came.
His order did arrive today, Dec 31 sent him a text and although happy his order status was still at Dec 28th. Took 2 hours before it decided that it should change the status to "Out for Delivery", not "DELIVERED", Lol
Clearly Google Store for Canada requires an overhaul judging by reviews I have found online and I am afraid that I will be charge for 2 items, need to file a credit card dispute and still have residual fall out.

"My wife bought me a pixel 3 XL as a gift with my credit card on her account directly from google. Now all concerns with the purchase require a three way verification and google will not respond. The phone is OK, but the customer service is non-existent. The trade in was not as promised and I was not informed that it was possible to receive the phone back if the trade-in amount was not acceptable and no response after weeks of calls."

"Bought a pixelbook from google store. Brand new laptop arrived with broken key that depresses but doesn’t release on left side. Google store say only way they will ship a replacement in less than a week is if I accept a refurbished unit!!! Also, horribly vague delivery time of 6:30 am to 10:30 pm and you must be home to sign on delivery. Package came very late when my kids were sleeping."
"I ordered a couple Google home mini's (paid for them) and got a free one through Spotify. Delivery for the first has been delayed twice and keeps getting pushed further back. The shipping was already slow and it's made slower because it keeps getting delayed. I am not confident I will ever get them. Each order has been a month out before delays."

Delivery was promised November 29. I got an email saying that they shipped my order December 3rd delivery for the 5th. On the 7th Google Store sent me an email that OnTrac couldn’t deliver and my order was returned to Google Store. They said that they would refund my money and I could reorder with a different address, but I wouldn’t be able to get the Black Friday price. "Had a Spotify code for a free mini. Their web site screwed up and cancelled my order after accepting it. I had 3 chats and was told they sent the problem to the next level because no one knew what happened. I was told to be patient and someone would get back to me. Eleven days later, and no response, I called to talk to a live person. He also had no idea what happened, but put the onus on Spotify saying their link must have been bad. GOOGLE refused to do anything. Sometimes even free isn't worth it. So, I'm off to Amazon to get a couple of Spots. No way I'd ever reward Google for this kind of treatment."
"Like many others, I also wish that zero starts was an option. Purchased a Google Home Mini on 11/18, contacted customer support on 12/4 after receiving a notification that my shipment had been delayed (order was still in "not yet shipped" status). Used the call-back support feature and never received a call back, and chat took far longer than it should to connect with a representative. Customer support agent was not helpful, and would not transfer me to a supervisor. New estimated delivery date is 12/17, nearly a month after the order was placed, for an item that seems to be in stock at every retailer I check, despite the customer support agent indicating that promotional orders had overwhelmed the system and had caused delays. So, Google puts their own product on promotion, sells a bunch, and then cannot fulfill their customer orders in a timely fashion. This was my first time shopping through the Google Store and it will be my last. Its incomprehensible that a company as large as Google would have this much trouble providing adequate customer service. A disgrace. "
"I don't have enough hours to talk about how horrible Google Home is to work with. I too called and was told 50 minute hold time. I've now been on hold for two hours which is perfect because I've had time to write, survey, tweet and review how horrible Google Store is. Save yourself the headache and skip Google Store at all costs!"
