"I am a graphic designer who has used GotPrint since my college days back in 2006. I cannot possibly tell you how many orders I have placed. I can say my orders have been on point 98% of the time. Most of the time it wasn't on point was because of my own error and when I discovered that I owned up to it. However there was one order that something went wrong with their press. They were quick to make good on it. Very quick. I have taken GotPrint with me every company I have worked for, every non-profit I designed for, and every side job I have had since 2006. They are great."
"We are a tax-exempt 501(c3) charity in Texas. I tried to set up a tax-exempt account. Following instructions from Got Print staff I completed and scanned a tax-exempt certificate. I did not have the information to complete the name and address of the seller on the Texas tax-exempt certificate, so I left that blank. Every business we have ever submitted a certificate to has filled in that information. Not GotPrint! They refused to fill it in and told me I had to re-do the certificate with information they sent me. So I filled out a second certificate, signed it, scanned it, and emailed it to them. Time passed . . . . Finally, I called to inquire about the status of my request and was told that I had made one typo on the form and that they could not accept it. Instead of typing Fernando, I had typed Fernanco. They refused to correct the typo because, according to the GotPrint representative on the phone, it is illegal to change the form once I had signed it. I was told that I had to start all over again by submitting a third certificate.
This is a lot of ignorant, bureaucratic nonsense. There is absolutely no reason why they couldn't have filled in the seller information in the first place or corrected the typo (if that was so horribly important) in the second place. I have never, in the 25 years I have worked with tax-exempt nonprofits encountered such stupid, hard-headed, uncooperative behavior. Whoever is making up the rules needs to be fired. This is the epitome of horrible customer service.
As a result, the charity does not have a tax-exempt account at Got Print and, instead of the money going to help injured, orphaned, and sick wild animals, the money is going to paying unnecessary sales tax."
