"I've been a customer of gotprint and have referred many people and businesses to the company for their printing needs. I've always had a good experience and always rave about the company. After my last experience, that ends today. I place an order of upwards of $500 for a new set of business cards for a new company I'm working with currently. The paper type was not illustrated when selected, the proof was not an actualization of what the card printed would reflect. The entire order was not correct once it arrived. Never on my screen or in the proof did it show an unreadable text so small that I needed a magnifying glass to read it and I am in my early 30's with no vision issues. I would NEVER approve such a small print if that was shown to me on the proof. There was a border color that was also there which was not shown when picking the paper and not in the proof either. I went back and forth and all they offered was a $100 discount on my next order. Meanwhile, what I was shown was not what was printed and therefore, unable and useless to the company I made these for. I will never use gotprint again and will not refer them to anyone. After being a LOYAL customer for 10 years, I would expect that they would take responsibility and honor that the customer is always right.

"Hi there! I am a beginner-ish designer & I called in with a question. I’m working with illustrator & the customer service rep was talking to me about making sure document was the right dpi. I told him I was using illustrator & so I thought vectors didn’t have dpi. He disagreed with me (politely). Doubting his advice to me, I called back spoke with someone else who walked me through my questions and confirmed that as long as the artwork is the right size, there’s no need to worry about resolution while working in illustrator. The first rep was telling me I need to convert vector into a raster in illustrator then check image size. It was all a little confusing "

The reason your files were checked in the past was because you selected our Manually Processed PDF proof method, which means your files are checked and you're sent a PDF proof that you must approve before they hit the press. "It was easy to design the card on line. Then placing the order was easy too. They actually beat the planned delivery date by a week!!!

"The center black layer inside these 38pt cards (thick) is nice, but I will have to spray "coat" them with some sort of clear semi-gloss before I can really even use them. The clarity, registration, and card cuts are fine, but the printed surface ink is "flat" and dull with absolutely no sheen at all. I didn't expect them to be glossy, but I also didn't expect them to be dead flat either."

Unfortunately due to the CMYK combination, alongside an uncoated stock, the finish can appear to be a little flat. If you are ever looking to make your colors pop, we do recommend ordering a stock that contains UV lamination, in which will ensure to make your colors pop!
