"Filling out the form was easy till you got to the point of start date of business. Then the text did not explain the start date accurately. We only needed the number based on a student intern that worked for us for a 3 month period. In order to process this students payroll needs we needed an EIN# to complete the necessary tax payments for this student. This had nothing to do with a start date of our business. When I posted the start date of our business which was in 1974 the system kicked back that we would be liable for taxes throughout though years. That of course is not the case. Our dates for the student were May through August of 2014. We likely will not need that number anytime soon if ever again. Perhaps you could add a further explanation button for other options such as ours. "
