"So I thought this was going to be a PITA, however this may have been the singularly easiest business/government related thing I have ever done.

I filled out this form (I think it was only one page long) online, with easy to understand questions, in the time it would take me to wait on hold to talk to my bank (or about 15 minutes). I then got my EIN by email before the next business day (I selected the option to receive it in 1 business day).

My only complaint would have to be how expensive was (minimum of $130), however I think this is just a one-time cost. And honestly, for how easy and painless this was (I was expecting it to take far longer to fill out the paperwork, and at least a week for the number to arrive by mail), it was worth it. "
