"Be VERY careful if you choose to purchase with this company. I took advantage of their 'Buy 100 wristbands and get 100 free' offer which they say is for 'today only' but in fact has been running every day for at least the last 3 weeks. I only wanted to spend £50 initially but was convinced to upgrade to over £100 to take advantage of this offer as the price per band made it worthwhile. However, when I received the order, there were only 100 bands in the package.
I contacted the company straight away and was informed in a very brief email that I had opted to receive a USB stick during the ordering process instead of my 100 bands. Why on earth would I knowingly opt to receive a cheap USB stick I didn't need in lieu of 100 wrist bands with a perceived value of £60?!! I argued that the ordering process was extremely misleading and that I had assumed the USB stick was offered as an additional gift during the last stage of the ordering process but Mike -who seems to be the sole operator behind the company - absolutely refused to discuss it with me and maddeningly kept emailing back to say "that is what you ordered and that is what you got".
I have been purchasing online for years and have NEVER experienced such atrocious customer service. Mike would not accept a refund of the goods, categorically refused to send me the additional bands and would not even meet me in the middle with a partial refund. He just didn't seem to give a damn.
The most insulting thing about this whole miserable experience is that Mike has effectively acknowledged that I was right about the misleading ordering process by making changes to the site a few days after my first complaint (I have screen shots of the site as it was before) yet I have received no apology or compensation for being a victim of their lack of transparency. Judging by the other reviews on this site, I am not the only one.
As for the bands themselves, they are disappointing. Yes, they arrived on time and yes, the colour and printing is fine but they are more flimsy than I expected and don't hold their shape.
If, after having read all that, you STILL choose to purchase from this site, make sure that you have the extra 100 bands in your basket when you finally confirm your order (they are now highlighted in bright pink so you can't miss them) and don't be duped into accepting their 'gift' of a memory stick, lighter, fork, cup or pen as it will be sent INSTEAD of the bands. Why anyone ordering 200 bands for the price of 100 would actually choose to forgo the bands for any of these paltry items is beyond me - I have my suspicions but will let you work those out for yourself.
On a final note, when I received my order confirmation from the company, it came with a discount code for leaving a '5-star' review on this site. I have never been offered a 'bribe' like that before and it seemed odd to me then. Now I know how this company operates, it doesn't surprise me. Yes, I am very happy to leave a review but it certainly is not going to be 5 stars."

"I am totally disgusted by the treatment from gowristbands. I went for their offer of buy 100 wristbands get 100 free with this they also offer a free gift. What you dont realise that if you select the gift they take off your extra free 100 wristbands! You dont realise as it is done very cleverly that when you click the gift, the extra 100 is removed. You dont realise and next you have delivered 100 bracelets with a ub memory stick. I contacted them but they said whatever was on the order form was all i was allowed. I offered to send back the ub memory stick but they refused. This order was to raise money for my charity.if i could give it 0/5 i would. i woundn't recomend this to anyone."
"I ordered wristbands for our charity event when I was at a fundraiser abroad. When I got back to the UK I called gowristbands.co.uk to enquire about the delivery date and I was shouted at, short of being called stupid and hung up on! Our stall, volunteers, and equipment are all paid for and ready, but we don't have our promotional merchandise. Today I found out I could have received the order yesterday, had I received the correct customer service. We now can't raise the awareness that the kids we work with so desperately need, we also spent money that we now can't use utilise until next year and had volunteers miss work etc. I am furious at the disrespectful manner in which we were treated. I would NOT recommend this company to any friends, family, associates and business links. "
