"All too often I get a response that says my offer is too low, even though I find the product at only ~20% difference than my offer. Or I'll get a counteroffer that's higher than what I can already get the item for.
I've even provided screenshots for the pricing I was seeing, and it doesn't make any difference.
The vendors seem to go off of retail price, so unless there's already a massive sale at their storefront, they often don't offer the best pricing.

I still try from time to time because you never know. I have got two good deals (both on LG TV's) from this site, but nothing else has ever been successful.

If you don't want to hunt for good deals though, this is a good site to use. They do offer lower pricing than what you would typically pay at a local store so if you were going local to buy say a 2000 TV, this site can save you some money. But, if you actually look around for better deals you can typically find better pricing elsewhere, it just takes a little more effort. So, decide what's more important to you, time or money.

A good example would be my most recent experience. I put in a bid for a @2000 TV that was on sale direct from the manufacturer for $1000.
I put in a bid on greentoe for 900, to see if they could beat the price. They sent me a counteroffer of $1,249. An online retailer was selling the TV for $1,300 at the time. Plus, I would have got cash back if I bought it there, so the pricing was a wash.

But all that said, if time is more important, then go greentoe. If money is more important, you might want to look around."
