"I ordered a Pooch Pal dog crate mat. Unfortunately because there are no instructions included in the package, I did not know that it only works when there is a weight on it. I thought that the one I received was defective because it did not heat up when i plugged it in. I had no problems in returning it, and getting a replacement. By trial and error I discovered that it only works when there is a weight on it, such as a dog. It must be a safety feature. The pad itself seems to be well constructed. I put it in the crate in back of my truck, and i placed a throw rug on it to protect it. I was told that this is perfectly safe, and it is not a fire hazard. "

"The book we received fell apart when we tried to read it. The spine holes were miscut. The pattern is NOT easy to follow. Have not yet watched the CD - HOPE this will explain the pattern better. I spent extra money for the CD so hope it helps because the pattern book was not worth the money it cost. "
