Fast Shipping, Quick Automatic Email Updates, Big Discounts on Scratched and Dented Safes

"I had been looking for a good price on a Liberty Gunsafe for some months, so when I stumbled upon on a couple on the scratch and dent section of gunsafes.com I took a chance and ordered one with scratches on the back, since no one would ever see the back anyways. I put in my order with a request to contact me before arranging shipping. and received a near instantaneous confirmation email. I have to travel occasionally for work, so I had requested they contact me before arranging shipping so I could make sure I was home during this time. A few days later I had the shipping tracking number, so I was annoyed they didn't contact me first like I'd asked in the order comments. The gun safe came in a few days before I left home for work however, so it ended up working out. The safe had no other scratches or dings other than those on the back that had been pictured on the gunsafes.com website since it was a Scratch and Dent Safe. Overall 4.5/5 stars, rounded to 5/5."

"After reading reviews about this company I began to become fearful I was going to be scammed.

To my relief, the company was upfront of how long it was going to take to receive my safe (22-24 weeks). I called the company after 12 weeks and they gave me an accurate timeline on when I can expect my safe. I received my safe at 16 weeks.

The safe arrived exactly when they said. It was not damaged and the delivery driver was professional and helpful.

If you don’t mind waiting a couple months to receive your custom safe, then the amount of money saved for a quality product is worth it.

Scammed

"I ordered a wall safe many months ago. I have called 3X only to be given new delivery dates each time.
I called to cancel the order, as the house is now built and the drywall is complete.
Twice now I have been told that the order was cancelled. NOT! They charged my credit card on the day I ordered the safe ( months ago) They refuse to do what they say

Dishonest scammers!!

Steelwater 16 Gun Safe - Damaged

"I recently purchased a Steelwater 16 gun safe. Unfortunately, when the safe was unpacked by the delivery crew, an inspection showed that it was damaged. One of the sides was dented and deeply scratched. The front lower corner also was gouged. Repeated attempts to engage with multiple points of contact with the seller (including customer service) yielded no response. I ultimately needed to dispute the charge with the credit card company. Total purchase price including delivery was over $1400. At this price, the lack of customer service is astonishing. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLER."

I don't know what everyone here is complaining about

"I placed an order last week and immediately afterwards found this site which absolutely bashes gunsafes.com. I felt sick to my stomach and thought I had made a huge mistake. I was absolutely wrong and I can't understand how not one person had something good to say about this company in the last year. I ordered on January 30 and even with the holiday and weekend I received the safe January 6. I got a call from the delivery company in NJ before the safe even left Ohio to schedule. The driver called before he got to my house and he was very professional and helpful. Packaging was perfectly in tact and everything was better than I could have hoped. The saleswoman I dealt with was excellent. It sounded like she may have been working from home due to covid but she was very helpful with deciding which safe to get (Snapsafe Super Titan XL double door). She even gave me a dehumidifier for free and a deal on a light. I can only assume many of the complaints were covid related since manufacturing and transport as well as sales, etc., etc. have been affected. I hope if you are thinking of using this company you read this and it gives you the confidence to give them a chance. I literally can't think of a bad thing to say about my experience. "

GunSafes.com & MesaSafe.com

"Ultimate Scammers!!!
Called GunSafes.com prior to placing order to confirm the safe I wanted was in stock. "Yes, we have 15 of that model in stock". "You should order now if you want one". And the scam begins...
Placed order same day. First thing that sparked my suspicion was my charge card was charged immediately. Normally, the charge does not post until an item has actually shipped.
Then crickets... No updates for two weeks. Contacted a few of their scam agents by the end of second week to start asking questions. Both Jeff and Mary gave me the "Yes, we have your order - Please be patient - Your order should ship next week and we will send you tracking info right away". Oh Joy, I thought.
Early the following week I attempted to help move things along by reaching out directly to the manufacturer (Mesa Safes). Spoke with "Travis"... What a super nice guy... and an even better scammer!
Travis said "I will get to the bottom of this - let me call you right back". I became overwhelmed with a feeling of relief! Now I will get some results! Travis is awesome!
My phone rings within 10 minutes. It's my new best friend Travis and he has great news for me!
"OK, I found out what happened". "Someone at GunSafes.com screwed up the order paperwork for a bunch of orders, including yours". "We have your order now and we have the safe in stock". "It will ship early next week and I will send you the tracking number". I thanked him from the bottom of my heart.
"I'm gonna keep an eye on this order for you", Travis replied. I was all warm and fuzzy inside by now because "Super-Travis" just saved the day!
I should have known that Travis would break my heart.
"Early next week" comes and goes... No word from Travis and crickets only more pronounced from GunSafes.com. I send emails to Travis at MesaSafes.com and various con artists at GunSafes.com begging for an update on my order. All emails go unanswered. (Predictable)
Tried calling GunSafes.com again. They really love the hold button over there. Initially got answered, "What's your order number?" "OK, let me check for you." Then I proceeded to listen to bad hold music for 30 minutes until I finally disconnected the call. I received this punishment twice!
I finally gave up on GunSafes.com and called Travis at MesaSafes.com. Travis actually answered to my surprise. At first, Travis pretended to not remember me. (Travis is so funny) Then he said, "Oh right, we spoke last week." Then my buddy Travis gave me the dreaded "OK, hold on, let me check on that for you."
When he eventually came back to the phone his happy news from the previous week turned out to be just a mirage. Travis now claims that when we last spoke he had two safes, but unfortunately now has none.
"We should be getting more in about another month", he tells me.
Et Tu Brute?
Even Travis was in on the scam. My dreams of a new gun safe were now officially crushed.
I told my former friend that I will be sending an email to cancel my order and request for a refund.
I sent my cancellation/refund email to every email address I encountered along my journey to being scammed. I also insisted that I would be contacting my bank and credit card company to dispute the charges.
I don't know if I will ever be able to get my money back, but I will die trying.
I absolutely hate scammers and if my story helps anyone avoid these BS companies that would give me a sense of satisfaction. Do your research on everything and after you've done your research do more research. The scammers are always out there waiting to prey on you. Arm yourself with knowledge and be safe!

Do not use Gunsafes.com. Spend your money elsewhere.

"I made a mistake. I purchased something from Gunsafes.com without truly looking into the reviews and experiences of its other customers. Don't do what I did. I purchased an "in-stock" safe as my kids are getting older and I felt I needed one. Six weeks later and both on their website and via their "customer service" agents the safe is still "in production". I have emailed, called several times and I have been told repeatedly "It's going to be shipping next week", for the last three weeks. Today I called and cancelled my order and was still being told "It could be shipping out next week".

In short - "In stock" - does not mean in-stock.
Any delivery date you are given is basically a fabrication.
Gunsafes.com is a 1/10 on customer service. Once they have your money they absolutely don't care about anything else.
Do not give spend your hard earned money with this company.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

"This is the worst company ever! We purchased a Liberty Safe in May 2020 and have not been able to open it yet! I contacted GunSafes and spoke to Thea to let her know we were not able to open the safe. She said I needed to speak to Liberty Safe's directly. I called Liberty Safe and worked with a rep for over 1 1/2 hours to try to get the safe open. We were not able to. Liberty suggested that they send a locksmith to drill out our brand new safe and install a new lock. I asked that they hold off until I speak with GunSafes since they are the ones who sold us the safe. (I really didn't want our new gun safe to be drilled out before we even used it.) Thea at GunSafes stated they would send pick up our old safe and send us new safe but we have still not received it. We haven't heard from ANYONE from GunSafes since. I have called numerous times, left messages and have not received any return phone calls.
I cannot belive this company is still in business!! What a scam. They sell you a gun safe that you cannot open.

Terrible Company

"This by far has been the worst experience i’ve ever had with a company. This company is a joke they don’t care about you once you get your item. I received a damaged safe was tricked into keeping it by them saying they’d send some some products for free of charge to keep it. Wow did i make a mistake... Amy Robinson the “general manager” guaranteed me that i’d be getting these items. it’s been a few months now and i haven’t received anything except some fake tracking numbers to make it look like it’s going to be delivered when it never really will. I’ve sent out many emails and made many calls to the customer service and i get the same answer of it should be delivered shortly. This company is an absolute scam i would never recommend for anyone to order from them. Do yourself a favor and order directly from the safe manufacturer since all they really do is make money off of being a “middle man” service. "

LITERALLY THE WORST COMPANY; 1 STAR IS TOO MANY..

"I ordered a safe from this "company" on December 30, 2019 and was told it would take 5-8 weeks to receive it. This is a surprise birthday gift for my husband so I am having it delivered to a family members house since somebody has to be there to sign for it. We are now going on 12 weeks since I ordered the product.
The same day that I ordered it. I received a text message from an Amy who said they actually had that safe in stock so it could ship right away if I wanted. I replied back and gave the ok to ship the one that they had in stock and I was told it would be about 3 days to receive it and I would get a phone call 24 hours prior to the shipping company showing up with it. The third day came and I didn't receive a phone call or text. My father-in-law was waiting at home to sign for it. I called the company and they said that it hadn't shipped. I looked in my e-mail and Amy had sent me a message and said that she had looked at it wrong, it had a different lock and it would take 5-8 weeks. That was not a big deal to me at first because I know that s*!% happens. So I waited and finally I decided to call and see where they were in the process:
3-3-20: I was told, "it will ship either today or tomorrow!"
3-6-20: still no e-mail regarding shipment. I called and was told, "it will ship Monday or Tuesday!"
3-13-20: Still no e-mail regarding shipment. I called and was told, "it will ship out next week!"
3-18-20: Still no e-mail so I called and verbalized my disgust and I was told I would receive an e-mail the next day.
3-19-20: Still no e-mail.
3-23-20: Still no e-mail so I called and requested a manager as I was going to cancel my order. I was told that the manager was unavailable and they would leave a message for her to return my call.
3-25-20: No phone call and no e-mail so yet again I called and requested a manager. They said she was in a meeting. She finally texted me and said that my safe has shipped and she will e-mail me the tracking information. I have yet to receive an e-mail.

A+ experience with their support and sales

"Unlike many others here, I had a very positive experience with the sale, and their customer support. My safe and accessories were shipped within the estimated time. One of the panels came slightly damaged. If one has ever gone inside of a UPS/FedEx warehouse or hub, you knowhow they throw around packages or a heavy item without any regard to the fragile sticker. In any case, they were ready and willing to replace the safe or compensate me via other means. More than reasonable!"

Save time and aggravation- go elsewhere

"My wife surprised me with the gun safe I wanted as a birthday gift. She also paid the $600 for in home delivery. Ggunsafes.com did not deliver.
TLDR: After I spent hours on the phone with reps from gunsafes.com and the carrier they chose to deliver the safe, after staying home from work after setting up delivery with the carrier, only to have it not delivered, I cancelled the order. Gunsafes.com had the audacity to tell me they would charge me return shipping on an item I never received. They ended up dropping it and issuing a refund in full.
The representatives I spoke with at gunsafes.com were very nice but, for whatever reason, could not rectify the situation.
No matter how you cut it, paying $600 - which in this case was about half of the price of the safe itself - should provide a more user friendly experience and if nothing else, deliver on expectations.
If they could get their act together, partner with more reputable delivery services, and do what they say they’re going to do, it’d probably be a great service. Until they do, stay away.

Great product and customer service!

"In my search for a quality gun safe what I found was that there was limited selection and no one other than Gunsafes.com offered free shipping. In many cases the shipping for the same gunsafe would cost several hundred dollars. In some cases this included local delivery (under 25 miles!). I found the same gunsafe listed for several hundred dollars more. So, with the free shipping and compeditive pricing I was able to get about $500 more worth of gunsafe. I called the company before I ordered with some simple questions about the shipping process and my call was promptly answered by a courteous person. Gunsafes.com beat their advertised shipping timeframe by 2 weeks as the safe arrived only 1 week after it was ordered! This was on an order that had to travel from Missouri to Virginia. I was able to obtain quick accurate tracking information on the internet and I was contacted by the local delivery company the morning the safe arrived in my area. The safe arrived and was adequately packed and had no damage. It was as advertised and overall I am very pleased! I highly recommend this company!"
