"Really surprised to see so many positive reviews about this site. Literally nothing about this transaction has been simple or easy. First our order was delayed by a month due to a damaged shipment. When my safe finally arrived the delivery person clearly had no idea how to handle a gun safe that weighed 400+ lbs. I watched him tip it over in the truck damage it and come very close to seriously injuring himself by getting pinned between the safe and interior wall of the truck. Since that happened we denied shipment of the order, and demanded in home "White glove delivery" they agreed to this but not in whole, instead of eating the additional cost ($270) they only agreed to 10% we had to cover the rest. Now we are told that it will be delivered to the interior of the house but if it has to be moved up more than 4 steps there is an additional cost of $70?? I get the feeling they have never done this before? The moving company they use has no idea how to handle it and can't even get it out of the truck? I'm a reasonable guy but this has really tested me. Service is not as advertised and has been a complete headache. If you are buying a small biometric safe (i.e. gunvault or anything comparable) go to Amazon and pay less. If you are buying a large standup gun safe, go to a local distributor and pick it up yourself, Gunsafes.com is not capable of delivering the advertised service. Sara, I'm sure you're reply will be forthcoming and sound convincing, but honestly this is ridiculous..."

"The gun vault lining was sloppily installed, and vendor said they'd send a replacement. Two weeks pass, and they say it turns out they cannot provide it, and I need to get the entire item replaced. It's now been nearly a month and I STILL do not have a functioning vault. Horrible experience.

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW: Over a month later I got a replacement unit. It was different than the original one that they sent me, and I thought it was missing the battery case.

The manufacturer called me and was confused too. Well, it turns out that the original safe I got was "several years old" and the model is discontinued. It should not have been sold! In fact, it was manufactured prior to new owners taking over the company and improving the safe's design.

Why I was sold a several year old model that is discontinued, that was shoddy, I have no idea.

Anyway, it was a lot of frustration and delays and is inexcusable."

"One of the best, if not the very best websites/companies that I have dealt with. I requested specific information about the safe I was interested in and received very precise and accurate answers. I was not really impressed with the first installation team that arrived, two guys with a dolly to install a 900 lb safe, but they corrected the problem three days later with four experts that had the job done in about 30 minutes. Part of the problem may be with my failure to accurately describe the hurdles.

If I ever need to buy another safe (not likely) I would choose them hands down, and I heartily recommend them to anyone that asks.
