The SIM arrived sooner than expected with a detailed easy to understand instruction with pictures! Their customer service & tech supports are just like what you'd see in Japan, nothing like the CSR here in the USA. They are very polite, courteous, helpful and very competent at the same time, they are making sure you are satisfied with the service from bottom of their heart!!!

I'm currently using the Japan SIM in Japan for the business trip & I can't be any happier than using any cell phone rentals I had at NRT, HND & KIX in the past. The cell service is on the SoftBank Wireless network!

The minute charge is still a bit high end and data price is very expensive but calls & SMS works as advertised.

Only reason I gave 4-star is for the expensive data roaming. If they had $3-$5/day data roaming like some Japanese cell companies, this SIM would be the ultimate platinum service!!!

Oh, the device I’m using is the unlocked version of Motorola Photon and it allows me to block all data roaming while I can use call & SMS feature! Data roaming can be turned on via the setting in just a few seconds."

"This company's plan is only $9.99/monthly. The service is not ideal for heavy users, but for people like me who don't use cell phone often, this service is amazing.

HanaCell is run by Japanese staffs, so you can make contracts in Japanese. The other great thing is you can enjoy the great Japanese customer support in the USA; prompt, polite and respectful. They really take care of your problem. (I don't know there are English-speaking customer support members. All staffs seems Japanese.
