"Ability to search online is great, and rug arrived promptly and is the color and quality expected (nice). But part of the reason I buy wool rugs new or old is that I am sensitive to chemicals in newer materials and I am also sensitive to some chemicals used to clean and to mildew. This rug smells mildewy/musty - it is a 'vintage' or semi-antique rug -- still it shouldn't smell. If you have an idea how to get rid of that without damaging the rug please let me know. We've had an unusually early snow storm here in Iowa or I'd put it on the screened porch for a few days. If the smell doesn't greatly dissipate I'll have to review the purchase (return?) as it is destined for a well used bedroom. I have purchased other vintage rugs - with no musty smell in the past from others. Help. -- Thanks."
