"Some monthes ago I choose Parthnership Program on Handango. I sold my program here and handango said that they will send me my payment, nearly 500 dollars USA. They send me report that they will send me my payment in two-three days. Five days passed but my payment hadn't come... I sent them letter to ask what happens with my payment? They didn't answer me, I wrote one letter more... They ansewered that they will solve my problem in nearest days. But also five days passed but payment hadn't come and they didn't answer my letters. So I decided to ask your help here and could you help me? What should I do in this situation? Should I contact the laywer?"

"My advice for if you do need to contact their customer support. Once you reach someone, hold on to their contact info. The worse part about contacting them is they don't hire enough people and you end up waiting in a long queue."

"Hey, I just downloaded and installed a s/w program from Handango within the last hour. Everything went very smoothly and I received my registration code in under a minute after completing the purchase.

But, geez! From looking at the reviews here, I hope I never need to contact customer service and I also hope I only got billed ONCE!

So far, though, I have to say I'm satisfied because I haven't run into any problems. HOWEVER, I most definitely WILL edit this review should I experience any problems in the future.

"Buyer Beware! This store is absolutely the worst I have ever dealt with as far as Internet placed orders. The past two weeks during two orders, they billed me multiple times for the same order on both separate transactions- three times for one and twice for the other. I tried to call but there is no way to get through to a human being on that line so I left a messages twice which never were answered or returned. I have sent three emails over the past 7 days without any response. I will now leave the matter up to my credit card company. Never again will I be so foolish to deal with you, Handango. All my future orders will go to Palmgear."

"Unspeakably slow customer service. On Oct. 27, I paid $75 for a commercial application but got a 404 error when I tried to download it. I sent in a trouble report immediately. Fortunately I was able to download a trial version from another site and unlock it with the reg code from the developer. I say "fortunately" because I did not receive a response from Handango until Nov. 8.

Update: Just talked to my significant other, who tried to order software from Handango a few weeks ago. He got a message saying that his order could not be processed because of an invalid handset ID, and never got his reg code. Problem is, instead of crediting his account Handango charged him *TWICE* (yes, TWO times).

"I purchased Pocket Cribbage from Pocket PC. Upon receiving the registration code and entering into the program, I encountered an error. It would not take it. I corresponded with the developer of the software and could not resolve the problem. I communicated this to Handango and after multiple emails to them and their very untimely responses and even after I received an email from the developer stating to Handango to OK a refund and that I would get a refund processed within 72 hours they told me that they would not give me a refund. They have very bad customer service!"

"There was no invoice number because the order transaction didn't go through, according to their customer "support." That's not my gripe. The fact that this response came 9 days after to my e-mail inquiry about not receiving a confirmation, even though their automated response indicated I would receive a response within two days. Since this was a gift certificate for my mom, I was a bit frustrated, and the total lack of ability to resolve issues in a timely manner is totally unacceptable."

Palmone had a problem with Handango.com and the next day they took the money from my account.
But I couldn't download the software.

"I purchased an expansion card for my palm recently from Handa.ngo – Sep. 2004.
Good price I thought, about 46$ with shipping. Han.dango is even happy to deliver to Canada.
What they don’t mention is that UPS will try to extort another 38$ C.O.D. out of you because they feel they are providing you with import broker services on a piece of hardware the size of a nickel. Hand.ango is basically guilty of false advertising and fraud in my eyes. I hope this saves a few Canadian and international customers a ridiculous undisclosed expense. I also hope that continental American customers consider doing business elsewhere, with a more reputable organization. I’ll be doing my part by posting my experience on every net board and review site I come across. I’m now off to the Pa.lm Store, a few bucks more but you don’t get scr.ewed.

"I placed an order for 2 games for my phone. They were supposed to be sent to my phone via SMS, but I never received them. I sent two emails to the company via their customer service contact form (the ONLY way they will let you contact them) and never got a reply. I even tried to call the 866 phone number listed on my credit card bill as the number for the vendor, and I just received a recording directing back to the website. Now I'm going to have to file a dispute for the payment with Visa, which will be a big hassle."

"I was redirected to Handango by a vendor, BluefishRx, who has still not returned my calls or emails. When I could not get the app to load, I sent (within and hour) a request for refund from Handango. I was politely informed after filling out the requisite paperwork that a refund could not be given due to the "return policy" which was not made apparent until the need for same arose. On Handango's Site they say do not in fact state this, but state if a product is defective or not working they will work with the customer to get a refund or exchange.." A separate area you are directed to AFTER requesting a refund states that any product available for trial use cannot be refunded. Unfortunatley the vendor they are representing is no better at customer service, as they have returned no emails or phone calls about the problem. This site is very poor at customer service, as even the email responses to my inquirey do not appear to be from a human.
Buyer Beware indeed.

"After many years of internet shopping this is probably the worst company I have ever ordered from on the internet. It took days to get a registration key and then the software would not work with my system. Tech support confirmed it would not work and told me to get a refund. I followed the link for a refund filled out the information and they said we will get back to you. I did not hear from them again and they won’t even answer my e-mails. If you want to get a hold of someone forget it they do there customer service through the internet and don’t supply a phone number. The tech support e-mailed them for me and still no reply. I will never order from these people again. I order from Palmgear.com now and my registration codes are sent within a minute."
