"I purchased a Louis Poulsen PH 4.5/3.5 Glass Floor Lamp by Poul Henningsen on-line for $399. the website said delivery to Sydney Australia would be 7 to 15 days. I received no email that it had been shipped after 28 days. After an email exchange where Hansenc apologised it was shipped and arrived 10 days later, a total of 40 days (including emails) after the order was paid for. The lamp was well packed. However, assembly of the lamp stem was not possible as the manufacturer appeared to have screwed in and glued a double threaded nut to reduce the diameter of one stem end, probably as part of the manufacturing process as a part to be used elsewhere. I took pictures and sent to Hansenc. While they said they would replace the part they tried to indicate that it was just a tight fit and to try harder. I took it to an electrician, who was able to cut out the piece and reassemble the lamp. However, he also discovered that it was not safely wired for 240v power, despite the site shipping to Europe and Australia where this is standard. He rewired, and also replaced the european plug with an Australian plug, despite the website also saying in an email exchange prior to the order that they would supply with an Australian plug. This episode cost me an extra $95 and took another 2 weeks. I unpacked the glass shades, there were supposed to be 3 of different sizes that would fit into the assembly. It came with only 2. I emailed Hansenc 7 days ago to advise of the missing piece, complete with a copy of the assembly instructions with the missing piece highlighted, and asked them to ship the missing piece. I have not heard from them.
This is without doubt the WORST and most FRUSTRATING shopping experience on-line I have ever encountered."
