"The worst bike shop. Order some 700c tire, pump, and tools. It took over 2 weeks to get the pump and the tools. Never got the two 700c tires. Tried to email them, call them, leave message, and live chat. Over 30 email, and 30 phone call, not once I got a reply. It been about 30 days now, no human reply. please don't do business with them or you will be sorry. They didn't say they were on back order, just a big darken 2 on the shipping slip. The darken 2 must mean they back order them, but why didn't they tell me they are back order and when they will be stock?

"This company has the worst customer service. I placed an order 4/24/10 and they debited by credit card and never sent my order..I call everyday and they never answer. I have sent emails and left voice mails with no response. Avoid these crooks and buy somewhere else unless you want to throw your money into the abyss. "
"So, I ordered a WTB Dual Duty wheel from BikeBully.com harbor country's other site. It has been 2 full weeks and 10 full business days and nothing has arrived. both Harbor COuntry and Bike Bully's customer service is non existent. I don't know why they even provide a phone # and email address, because they do not respond to emails and they do not answer their phone. I guess they don't believe in a return customer base, because I am never shopping there again."
"Stay away - My experience was the same as the others. Ordered on 4/18, charged AMEX same day, receivnaed order confirmation, the nothing. They don't answer their phones and don't respond to emails or voice mails. I'm off to reverse the charge with AMEX a report this shoddy outfit to the BBB. "
"Harbor Country Bike came through not only with the best prices on the web for the MTB components I was buying (new cranks, chain, cassettes and tools), but Mark and Jerry went above and beyond to ship everything in a timely matter. Great communication, love the online chat, and they even allowed me to add a crank puller to my order a day after my initial purchase and I was impressed when it actually arrived in the same shipment as all my other parts. Will definitely be buying from Harbor Country Bike in the future.
Thanks,
-Keith "
"Ordered an Electra bicycle for my daughter's birthday. I received an email for the order confirmation-NO PROBLEM. Received a shipping confirmation on 04/02/10-NO PROBLEM. After (2) weeks with no bicycle I decided to track the FedEx shipment-PROBLEM! FedEx informed me a shipping label was generated but they never had possession of the product. I FINALLY contacted someone at HCB and was told it was a warehouse/shipping problem and they would call back within (1) hour. I gave them until the end of that business day, (of course no call back), and immediately filed a dispute with AMEX. (After reading online reviews and researching their F! rating with the Better Business Bureau I was not going to waste one more minute with this shady outfit). Jerry emailed me (2) days later with a full refund. Draw your own conclusions here .... I did call ELECTRA BIKE to complain about this dealer .... Do you really want your product represented by a business with an "F" rating?

"I purchased 2 panaracer ribmo tires from the harbor country bike website. I received a confirmation email saying I purchased the item and that all orders take 3-5 business days to process. Well, it has been 6 weeks and I have not received my tires. I have emailed them 5 times requesting a tracking number. I have left 5 phone messages. They never answer the phone. They never call back. They never respond to emails. I am going to call my bank and try to report the charge as fraud. STAY AWAY FROM HARBOR COUNTRY BIKE!"
"I ordered three items but only one item came. I attempted to contact them via e-mails few times but no replys. I had to open a dispute with American Express card to get my money back. Aweful communication. I don't recommend using them at all. There are plenty of stores to order from that also offer free shipping with excellent customer service."
"I ordered from Bikebully.com but as others have said it was shipped by and the credit card was charged by Harbor Country Bikes. My order was missing parts. Attempts to call bikebully hit a fax machine. Email was never answered. I have left multiple emails and messages over the past 2 months to no avail with Harbor Country. AVOID these folks. Maybe you will get your whole order filled, if so great. But any problem at all and you are stranded."
"I actually ordered through Bikebully.com, but my credit card statement shows Harbor Country Bike, so it's actually the same store.
In addition, I also noticed that someone named bikebully reviewed this store favorably! How's that for conflict of interest? Very unethical IMO.
Here's my review: Horrible Communications and poor shipping time (that's if I ever get my order)
I ordered my stuff on the Nov 12th, told it was shipped on the 16th, and haven't heard from them since, despite it being 2 weeks since the shipping date. Still haven't recieved my order. Phone calls and emails to either web site receive nothing in reply. I truly regret giving them my money, and wish I had checked the reviews prior to placing an order. Buyer beware

"Shipped fast - I ordered a Lezyne alloy bike pump and it arrived in perfect condition. I told them I'd read the reviews on this site, and that I would post a review reflecting my experience. It was great, I'd shop there again."
"Very disappointed. It took almost 3 weeks to receive my tires that were in stock. Customer service is extremely poor. All phone calls went to voice-mail and response to my emails as to where were my tires were? I was given one excuse after another. When I finally received my tires they were the wrong model tires! When I asked them for return authorization number they emailed me back and ask me couldn't I just used them? All other emails since have been ignored and I have been extremely patient and polite in this entire process. I doubt based on other reviews and the last 3 weeks that if I shipped them the tires back that I would get my money back so they will go on eBay. DON'T BUY from THEM NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE PRICE MAYBE."
"Long story short, I ordered a stroller on May 25 and as of August 4, I have not received it. Besides the fact that it has been over 2 months since my order was placed, the most disappointing part of this purchase is lack of responsiveness and lack of effort to make things better. I have called and/or emailed Harbor Country over 20 times. I’ve actually left a message or talked to someone 6-8 of those times. After the lack of responsiveness, I quit leaving messages. I’ve emailed them once. The number of times they have contacted me…ZERO! No calls or emails to let me know my order is delayed, there is a problem with the vendor, a certain color is not in stock, my order has been cancelled, etc. No calls or emails responding to my direct inquiries…nothing. All correspondence with Harbor Country has been me calling or emailing them. If you were teaching a business/customer service class, these guys would be the poster child for what not to do. The only positive thing is they haven’t actually charged my credit card yet.
I’m not going to tell you don’t buy from Harbor Country, because I’ve bought from plenty of places that had bad reviews with no problems. I think most people that write negative reviews are too picky or have unrealistic expectations and some may think the same of me. I will tell you that I will never buy from these guys again. This is by far the worst shopping experience (online or in person) that I've ever had. It was so bad that it compelled me to write this review, which is my first. I am usually pretty easy going and understanding of issues that can arise during a purchase. Having been on the other side, I try not to get irate and yell and scream and threaten customer service people...and I haven’t done so with them. Retrospectively, I probably should have with these guys. "
"I placed a $60 order with Harbor Country Bike on May 14, 2009. The order qualified for free shipping. The order generated an automatic order confirmation and my credit card was charged. Two weeks later no package and no word from Harbor Country Bike. I called. I used the on-line submission form. I e-mailed. No response. Calls to Harbor Country Bike simply go to voice mail, e-mails to a black hole.
On Friday, June 5, Harbor Country Bike sent an automatic e-mail that my order had shipped. While the e-mail suggests that a tracking number is available, one is not.
Whether the package ever shows up or not, I would never buy from Harbor Country Bike again or step foot in a Harbor Country Bike store.
The worst part about this -- and why I hold myself in part responsible -- is that I read these reviews BEFORE I made my purchase. What was I thinking?
Buyer beware. "
"Apparently this store is excellent IF you do business at the brick and mortar, however, online they are very poor (look at the reviews). I placed an order March 1st and by March 15th had received nothing. I contacted them by e-mail which they did respond to promptly, only to inform me that part of my order was on back order and they were sorry nobody contacted me to tell me. They cancelled that portion and refunded my money, and were to ship the in stock portion that week. As of April 2nd I have received nothing, and nobody at the shop even knows if anything was shipped! I cancelled the entire order! Over a month of back and forth! I would not advise doing business online!"
