"DO NOT order from here. Ordered Marine spar varnish delivery date of June 5th. After checking on this date, no email or anything from the company said it was back ordered. I tried calling to cancel, the phone is automated message with a hangup. emailed multiple times to cancel order, nothing. Got PayPal involved now the company is sending the product on June 23. Dont need it now so I have a 90 dollar mistake in ordering from them. DONT ORDER from them. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I ordered 102 brackets. Received only 52, with no packing slip explains why the other 50 were not here. Emailed customer service and they apologized and would get those to me. FOUR DAYS LATER the warehouse tells CS that they are out of stock and won’t have any for another week. THANK YOU to the warehouse for being too incompetent to email CS back in a timely manner so I can be aware. I now have my family moving to a house, that will have an incomplete fence with dogs, and it will be a nightmare until we can receive. Once again THANK YOU for absolutely nothing, and I will never purchase from this company again. "

"The customer service at Hardware World is very poor. I placed an order in which the shipping address was different than the billing address. Hardware World decided to cancel my order without informing me. In my case, the shipping address was to a freight forwarder that and consolidates forwards packages to my house in bulk. Since I was not informed that the order was cancelled, I only found out 1 month after the order when the consolidated shipment arrived. I have had to re-issue the order with another vendor and must now wait another month for the consolidated shipment to arrive. When I asked why my order was canceled, I was told: "The Credit Card payment processing service declined this order due to unverifiable information for the credit card used or the shipping information provided.". This is amazing to me. They cancel the order without telling me because they have a problem processing the credit card. Great customer service!!!!"
"I know that no business is perfect. I saw the two reviews on this page that were negative but looked at the rest of the reviews and they were all top notch. I don't know why this rating website puts those on the front page. It seems snarky & hidden agenda to me, like they WANT to show a business in a bad light. Anyway, I shopped at Hardware World and glad I did. I have ordered several times since and every single time had a great experience. One order was damaged by UPS and they immediately took care of it. There are at least three sides to every story, They say, We say and the truth. I think the two negative comments must have personal issues as I see they have left nasty comments about other retailers on other sites as well. Smells like scammers to me. Hardware World has always treated me fair and right and don't deserve this kind of hater posting. Try them! They have great prices and services!"
"Stay away. This is perhaps the worst customer service experience imaginable.
After returning my purchase in new condition, they would not honor a refund as the box was not in original condition. The box! I did have to open the product to see that it wasn't the right fit for me. I did have to ship it. Now no refund since the box was damaged!
Be careful folks you better order perfectly and hope you get what you need as there is no easy refund here.
As it stands now, they have my money and my product and I have 2 shipping charges to show for the experience.
Oh ya - there solution - donate the product to habitat for humanity. As if a charitable donation makes their lack of service acceptable. I'll decide when and where to donate to charity thank you."
"TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I ordered 12 farm lights, at the 2 week point of not receiving them I tried to cancel my order. There is not a way to do that online, only way was to contact them. Well no one is ever available to answer the phone, goes directly to voicemail and after leaving voicemails, they don't return the call. Then tried email. They emailed me back saying I never called them (apparently they think I am a liar) and that morning they happened to ship my items! Even after I left messages and emails saying to cancel. Of course what could I do at that point!? They said once I get the shipment, reject order and they will refund the money. Well I was not home to reject/refuse the delivery. So they then advised me to take the order to UPS and ship back, but I live nearly 20 miles from UPS so they approved UPS to come pick them up, which they did. A month later I still had not received my refund and through email they said they had sent it but will resend it. So another month goes by and I receive my refund check.....Here is the big one folks, I paid $116.04 and only received a refund check for $4.99. They charged me for the "shipping" and gaveme what was left over. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! I asked several times to talkt oupper level management and they never transferred me to them. I would have kept the lights and resold them if I knew they would only give me a slap in the face fraction of the money I spent. "
"Product was exactly as described. Shipment was timely and well packed. Ordered on Thursday, received on Tuesday. Communication was good. Shipping could have been cheaper. 10 bucks for two seven dollar dimmer switches but I got what I needed."
